  • "Our waiter Dustin greeted us warmly, asked if we were there for a special occasion and when we told him it was our 28th anniversary he returned to table with complimentary, pineapple vodka drinks that were refreshing! We then moved to our appetizer of french onion soup and spinach salad, followed by the most perfect and deliciously cooked steak I'd ever eaten. My husband's dry aged steak was amazing and the 15 year old balsamic glaze topped it off and my coffee encrusted steak drizzled with butter was insanely good - both suggested by our waiter and we were glad we listened to him! Our waiter then served us complimentary desert and took a picture of us as a keepsake! A true treasure and night we won't forget. We'll be back for sure!"

  • "We were greeted somewhat offhandedly but we were seated immediately in a lovely booth. Drinks and bread appeared shortly after we ordered them. One drink was incorrect and the error was corrected in a timely manner and the waiter was very apologetic. Appetizers, salads and entrees were very good and the coconut cream pie is one if the reasons that I return to the Capital Grille. The staff is uniformly efficient, pleasant and makes the experience quite enjoyable."

  • "I had been looking forward to eating at The Capital Grill for over 6 years. The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was friendly and professional. The menu looked great. I started with the lobster bisque. While we were waiting they brought us bread and butter. The bread was OK and the butter was more like margarine. When the soup came it was cold and did not taste good at all. It did have a lot of lobster meat. I ordered the bone in rib eye with mashed potato's and asparagus. My son ordered filet and crab legs. The presentation was good and service was prompt. My steak was good but had a very strong sauce under it that tasted like a beef bullion cube. The potato's were good but plain."

  • "We went to Capital Grille for my mother's birthday with a reservation for 10. The atmosphere was great, the waiter was extremely well trained and very good at keeping the flow of the meal. All of the food was top notch and they did little special things, like taking a picture of the group and putting it in a nice card. All in all, worth the top dollar we paid."

It was Friday and we were casual, jeans etc, and I felt the hostess assumed we didn't rate any better. Fortunately our server was more gracious."

  • "My family and I went to Capital Grllle to celebrate my husbands retirement. My husband and son-in-law had steak which was good, but my daughter and I had fish. I had the black cod and she had the tuna, which were both horrible. The cod had no taste at all and the tuna looked like a piece of liver, awful. The fries were delicious, at least that was something. I know it is a steak house , but if you are going to charge the high prices you charge, then EVERYTHING SHOULD BE GOOD!!!!"

  • "Very well decorated. Wonderful old steak house ambience. My wife is a huge steak fan and was disappointed in hers. Our mains were brought out just after our appetizers. Despite the 20 minute interval in ordering them. I decided to throw away my barely touched cauldron of onion soup to not let my Sea Bass go to waste. Wrong choice as it was boney and I soon went back to my now cold onion soup. All in all a huge disappointment. We will not be back."

  • "Tantalizing dishes and proffessional staff. Everything was great, can't comment on the wine list but it's self professed award winning. They did have a decent cognac selection while only carrying a couple select high quality cognacs (Remy and Hennesy) the price for XOs and premieres seemed more acceptable than other places with the same offerings. One gripe is that the waiter left the recipe before being asked; this could be a personal preference ."

  • "We usually go to Capital Grille in DC, and it was our first time in Tysons. The food and wine is excellent, so no deception there. Despite booking, we got our table half an hour late. This is really the only downside for Capital Grille, no matter when is your booking, our experience is that you end up waiting 15 minutes at best, but more often than not;, 30 or 45 minutes. However, the service was much better than in DC, and the hostess took the appetizers off the bill to compensate for the wait, which was a great service gesture that the one in DC never did. We will definitely go back as the food is worth the wait. Always a bit noisy, but to be expected..."

  • "First time at the restaurant and we were celebrating a 90th birthday. We were very pleased with the food, atmosphere and service. Great place to go if you really like meat. The fillet was excellent.They do a special little birthday celebration with confetti at your table a card signed by the staff, take your picture and frame it and you get a special dessert at the end of dinner. And our waitress fantastic."

And we were placed close to a busy part of the restaurant for my husband's 50th. But they did treat him really well and the service was excellent. The food is OK for the price - of course the price was fairly high."

  • "My husband and I celebrated a late Valentine's lunch here. He had the clam chowder (yum!) and the lobster pot pie which was quite filling but not nearly as yummy as my mini-tenderloin sandwiches. (Steak is definitely the way to go here.) Also, I had the butternut squash soup which was delicious (and I'm usually not a big fan of squash...). Our server, Becca, was attentive. Price-wise, lunch is a great deal here. $18 for soup of salad and a (lunch portion) entree."

  • "Once again, a memorable dining experience at Capital Grille. This past Valentines Day we decided to experience the Capital Grille at Tysons Corner. While the prices are not for the timid, if you're willing to spend money for a wonderful evening out, this is the way to go. The wine list is extensive enough for diverse taste buds, the appetizers are substantial (we went for the cold seafood platter), and the grilled steaks are simply to die for (my wife's filet mignon on the bone was out of this world). We barely left room for one of Capital Grille's excellent desserts -- my trio of sorbets was memorable. Valet is free, so on a very cold night (like the one we went out on), it comes in handy."

  • "If you get a chance to go here for Valentines Day, I highly recommend it. They really know how to treat their customers right. It was also my husbands birthday and they had a rose and decorations on the table as well as a hand written birthday card. They also gave us a choice of any dessert item for free and took a picture of us that they developed and brought to our table with a really cute picture holder. It was a great experience--- and of course- the food was wonderful as always. Capital Grille never disappoints!!"

  • "We always save up for a splurge and go to Capital Grille on special occasions. I had made reservations on Open Table and asked for a booth since we brought my 4 year old with for Grandma's 70th birthday...no problem! They had the table all set-up for us and decorated, with a nice birthday card signed by the staff...always a personal touch! The food was just outstanding, the steaks and lobster we had was divine. Then they send out a a nice birthday dessert prepped with candle etc. I will have to recommend server Angela, she was seamless with everything service wise, super nice, AND was awesome with my daughter! She brought us a nice combo kids meal (best mac and cheese I have ever tasted) and then brought her ice cream!! Yay! Awesome night."

  • "Capital Grille is fantastic. It always is. The food is fresh and the steak is always perfect. The shrimp cocktail may as well have been harvested that same morning . The lobster mac and cheese is sinfully wonderful and the asparagus is always perfectly crispy. The service is phenomenal. The waiter checks in often enough to be helpful but not so frequently that you are overwhelmed. They are always nice and accommodating, including removing the bones for those of us who are a tad skittish."
