And I'm glad I did. From first entering to the last goodbye, the service here was just top notch. Food was quite good too - my steak was delicious and so was my wife's seafood platter. They also made it a special affair with complementary champagne glass for my wife's birthday, as well as a nice desert. Surprise and delight is the MO here. And I know I'll be coming back. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. When we arrived, we got seated at a table that was decorated with heart confetti and a card. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and offered great recommendations. My bf and I both enjoyed our steaks and the lobster mac & cheese we shared for a side. We were completely satisfied with our meals and did not think we had room for dessert, but our waiter surprised us with two amazing desserts that we ended up devouring. It was a wonderful surprise. He then took a picture for us and came back a few minutes later with it printed out for us to take home. On this night, our regular wait person was off and the manager, Heather, chose another wait person for this evening's dining experience. An excellent choice; Carmen was a great substitute and did an outstanding job. Our food was superb! Their crab louie starter salad, a special that night, was fantastic! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and you can never go wrong with their creamed corn and truffle fries. It was a special night for us and The Capital Grill did us right!! The service and food were out of this world. The Mothers day brunch was grand and the desserts were so good we were tempted to steal the tray and risk arrest just to have some when we got home......but we didn't. The staff made our stay the best possible by being near and by asking us if we needed anything, as well as engaging and continually helping us at our table every time. Great food selections, excellent service but is a little more expensive than I might ordinarily spend so would consider it a great option for a special occasion. It is very convenient to the local theaters downtown and worth considering tacking on dinner to a show. Nice selection between steaks and seafood. Sides are large enough to share so use that to your advantage. If you order wine by the bottle they had a nice selection to chose from. We both had the medallions of filet mignon with mushrooms and onions and a light, very flavorfull sauce. Absolutely delicious, and melted in our mouths. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and delicious too. Oh, we split the wedge salad, and the dressing was very good and not too bleu cheesy. I'd gone for lunch around 12:00pm the first time, and this last time 1:00pm. My food was slightly cold,and I found my creme brulee a bit cold and yet burnt, but I did find that the restaurant had settled down and wasn't quite as busy as the first time and I enjoyed that.

The food absolutely melts in your mouth and I like how they have the tables well spaced apart. The wine menu is extensive however I'm a tea drinker so I can't quite comment on wines that they offer. Service is certainly one of the best experiences I've had. From valet, hosts, bus people, and wait staff. I am new to Seattle and am trying steak houses and Italian restaurants to add to my favorites list.
