Due to a horrible traffic jam, we were 30 min. late on a Friday evening (we alerted them), and they were very gracious about it, and told us not to worry. The waiter, Rob G, was the best I have ever had. From assuring us that he would get us to our show on time, to his encyclopedic knowledge of every aspect of any menu item we asked about. His demeanor was perfect, neither snooty nor fawning. The food was heavenly. From the wedge and chopped salads to the lobster-and-crab cakes, to the seared tenderloin and butter poached lobster tails, which melted in my mouth. When we said the filet was a "little" too rare it was immediately taken without question and brought back perfect.We asked for med rare. Generally when we ask for Medium (in other venues) it is too well done. We mentioned that we were sharing and it came out of the kitchen split for us :) We also had the sole. It was cooked to perfection as well. Great flavors all the way around!

Sushi tuna--amazing and cooked perfectly. Had the delmonico and kona rubbed steaks--great choices. Service was polite, not overbearing, maybe a little slow. The restaurant is a lot darker than when it first opened back in 2001 or thereabouts and was "the place" to be seen. Desserts solid but not overwhelming. Appetizers of salads, chowder, crab salad were very good. Lobster crabcake--good. Valet parking was prompt and polite. You can't go wrong with this place--prices are a lot better than barclay prime, and the knives were nice and hefty to rip your steak apart. Ryan, our waiter, was an absolute professional. He knew his menu, from food to wines, and he was competent at providing suggestions to us. I also loved that the nutritional values are listed on the menu as well. Makes it MUCH easier to make good choices at a "splurge" restaurant.
