Went with the hubby. Food was amazing. Wine list was huge. My only issue
was I felt the waiter was rushing us through our meal. After a long day of work, I kind of like to relax with my glass of wine
but no sooner was I done with my salad when our meals appeared. Then when the waiter gave us dessert menus - he barely
gave us time to look them over when he was back to take our order. At this time, I did mention I felt we were being rushed - and
to his credit he backed off and gave us time - and then even took our dessert off the final bill which was a nice gesture. I would

The food is worth every penny! Lobster bisque had much more lobster in a cup than a lobster dish that you would pay $25.00 for. The Dolmenico steak is juicy and cooked to perfection and nearly perfect the Filet Mignon with crab. The Lobster Mac"N"Cheese delicious, too. Lastly, the cheesecake wit strawberry sauce was the perfect way to end the meal. Within 2 minutes of walking in the door, I totally forgot that this location is connected to the Garden State Plaza (although there is no entrance directly from the mall, thankfully). The dark wood and dim lighting really set the mood for a great night.
My husband and I have been here alone one other time and sat at the bar. Food was great. This time we took our two kids for their birthdays (they are 1 day apart). A kids menu was available upon request and my daughter chose the mac & cheese. It was definitely higher end kid cuisine (no powdered cheese). The rest of us had steaks that were divine - and dessert. No steak house compares with Peter Luger's, but the Capital Grille saves the NJ diner the trip into the city and rewards them with the next best thing and a waitstaff that is friendly and helpful. The steaks and chops are top of the line and the choices are delicious and plentiful. It is very hard to believe that this is a chain restaurant. The mozzerella app with tomato and basil was a bit disappointing. The mozzerella pieces were very small for 13.00. This place IS beautiful, luxurious, not at all what you would expect from a restaurant in the mall. It totally explains the separate entrance from the mall. If your looking for great food, wine & exemplary service TCG is definitely where you want to be. Magdalena our server was great, attentive and on point and the manager comes by to say hello! What service!
