Limited selection on this menu but certainly adequate. I had Caesar salad, Filet, a side of spinach....husband had the House specialty steak(Sirloin with a rub on it), Caesar, and mashed potatoes side. We order the Lobster Mac and Cheese for additional cost-best thing of the night.Creme brulee for dessert for both of us, also coffee included with the deal. Great price of $39 from 4-7p. The food was of excellent quality. Our server, who was from Savannah,Ga. was so helpful and made excellent dinner recommendations. The noise level was so quiet that we were able to conduct conversations without having to speak loudly. I have tried numerous steakhouses in the city and was surprised to find that this location of the Capital Grille provided the best service I have had anywhere in the city, with a superb steak and a wine list which included several excellent bottles near a $30 price-point. The porcini rub on the Delmonico steak is to die for and of course, who can forget the unforgettable Lobster mac n cheese. No matter what you choose though the food is devine. Ambiance personified and service was wonderful. They even had confetti on the table for my husband's birthday which I surprised him with along with a card. The Chef, Manager, Servers and all other employees go out of their way to make the dining experience wonderful, whether it is a pre-theatre dinner, or special occasion. This restaurant is a wonderful place to meet and unwind. The steaks were just a bit overcooked. Appetizers were expensive but outstanding. The wine list was a good one for the number of selections but was overpriced and more than 2X bottle prices on most of the wines. The main course was not special...it was above average. I had a dried age steak and salmon (which we split).
Main course = 3.5 stars
Lobster bisque soup = 5 stars
Sides = 4 stars

The pre theatre menu choice was excellent, choice of 3 starters, 4 mains 2 side dishes and 4 desserts.
The al a carte menu was also available if you wished to eat from my that.

We went because we heard they have a lighter menu of three courses for $39. They didn't bring us that menu. You have to know and ask for it. Plus we had full sized Caesar salads which were perfect, two sides to share, and really delicious flourless chocolate cake and creme brûlée. All this for less than just a steak! What an amazing bargain. Loved the smaller quieter room as requested and had great service. Our only "disappointment" was that we got way too much to eat before theatre! The wait staff gets you in and out on time so you're not late getting back to work. This is the best restaurant in mid-town and I work here for 11 years. We know them all and this tops them all. Ed Sullivan, the head waiter, and Guillermo Narvaez, waiter, were great and got me out on time when I told them I had only 50 minutes to eat. I know since I work here for 11 years and know every place there is to eat. Beautiful atmosphere. Lots of rooms with second large floor. The place jumps for excellent service. I went back a second time and Ed Sullivan and Guillermo Naarvaez were excellent and got me out in 50 minutes from lunch. They didn't miss a beat.
