The service is first glass white glove all the way, the food is as good as can be and we simply feel special every time we go. Yesterday my husband had the filet mignon special for $19 and he could not have been happier. I had the bronzini fish with salad and veggies and it was exquisitely cooked and so lovely I hated for lunch to end. Run, do not walk, to the Capital Grille. Although a bit pricey, the Prix Fix menu was very adequate and extremely well prepared and presented. This was our first time there and definitely not our last. Every detail was first class from a decorated table, a free champagne toast, a group picture, a gorgeous dessert plate with the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY for the b-day girl and a long stem red rose for each of us at departure. The best part was the fabulous food we all had for lunch. We had a variety of dishes and everyone loved what they ordered. First class all the way. My highest compliment is that you really would not know it is a chain (and a Darden's one at that). The service is always first rate, as it was on this occasion, and the food is consistently very good to excellent. (Not to mention the best calamari on the planet.) That said, I do have to note that on this visit, two of our three filets had a little gristle that should not have been there -- a very rare lapse. There is absolutely not one issue about this place. From the valet in front to the professionalism of each and every employee. this place is a well oiled machine. If your impression is that it is expensive, you are incorrect. From the valet service to the added touch of a rose at the end of the evening. When we arrived the valet promptly opened my door and extended his hand to assist me out of my car (i have never had this happen, even at Four Seasons), we were celebrating our 5th Anniversary so the table had little heart confetti on it, we received a complimentary champagne cocktail and as I said a beautiful red rose was given to me at the end of the night.
