Capital Grille - MinneapolisExcellent but loud!We celebrated our anniversary at Capital Grille early (6:30pm) on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was busy (lots of large groups) and it was loud! We had difficulty hearing each other across the table in a small booth. I don't know if that's typical of Capital Grille but it certainly was not romantic. And there were no sporting events in town that night. The food was superb and the service attentive. Because they knew it was our anniversary, our table was scattered with rose petals and we were offered either complimentary champagne or dessert. Love the complimentary valet parking. Even with tip it's cheaper than other parking options downtown.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Wonderful!This is a standard for fine dining in the Twin Cities--wonderful beef/fish/side dishes. Lobster Mac & Cheese is to die for. But the best part of the restaurant is the amazing professionalism of the wait staff--we always know we will be well-served. The bar is fun and we love the stoli doli cocktail! So glad this restaurant continues to thrive in Minneapolis.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA Very Special PlaceThey made our anniversary very special. They had a table saved for us that had rose petals sprinkled across it! Everyone we came in contact with wished us a happy anniversary! We got the wedge salad- awesome. They were very generous with the bacon and the dressing was terrific. Then I got sliced filet with a fig sauce and mushrooms. The meat was perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed the sauce. It added a sweetness. My partner got the Filet Oscar whcih she couldn't stop raving about! The restaurant offerd us a glass of champagne or a dessert free in honor of our anniversary. We got the fresh berries and creme bule. Both were outstanding. The service was top notch. The server was excellent. The salads, sides, soup, and of course of steak were wonderful. Definitely a great place for a special occasion. As far as higher end steakhouses it was very fair price as well. A memorable meal and experience we will not soon forget. Friday evening was pleasure and the Capital Grille had all my information correct. They knew my favorite table and that I have "nut" allergies. Just remembering this made me feel at ease enjoying my time there, and the food was incredible, as always. I give them the highest ratings possible. Don't change please!

Prices are on the high side but in our opinion, the quality received is always worth the price paid. The best steaks can always be found at Capital Grille. We return as often as we can! We went during restaurant week during Feb 2013 and it was some of the best food, service, and experience I've had. Free valet parking, personalized service, and excellent food made it a great night. Our waitress gave us a discount on the wine, and substituted a desert item on the restaurant week menu for me.
