Capital Grille - Fort WorthCapital Grille Fort WorthWe had a great time Saturday night at Capital Grille in Fort Worth. We were seated immediately upon arrival for our reservation. We enjoyed a couple cocktails and then ordered the Chilled Seafood platter. It was a perfect match with the Franciscan Napa Valley Chardonnay (an absolute steal at $30 on the wine list). Then we had salad, dinner and dessert. Everything was properly prepared and we had outstanding service from Mary. She did an excellent job of timing our meal (we were in no rush, just looking for a quiet evening). Downtown was very busy with the Dreamvision program but we were not rushed in any way. All in all a great experience with Capital Grille. I have been to the Plano location and thought I would give the FW location a try. Capital Grille never disappoints! Alex, our server, was attentive, friendly and knew the menu. I tried the citrus glazed salmon with green beans, and my coworker had the sea bass with truffle fries. Both dishes were hot, flavorful, and well presented. My coworker had never been, but is now going to take his wife to dinner at the Dallas location. Love this place! If you go for dinner, try the lobster mac n cheese and the calamari. And have always viewed capital grill as a perfect place to celebrate with a group of friends or fellow employees. Or even better, that romantic evening for two.
Personally, I love the atmosphere and the food. It's high end, with just the right amount of casual.

(I made the reservation the evening before the holiday.) They went all out, with a congratulatory note from the manager, a large heart on the table made from little hearts, a red rose, and a unique dessert. It was an amazing evening, with food and service excellent as always. We visited this time on a Monday night, and while service was a bit slow the experience was still wonderful and my husband and I had a great meal. As always, the steak was cooked to perfection and was complimented by the amazing lobster mac & cheese. We also had the lobster bisque, which is not on the menu, but is so chock full of thick bits of lobster that it's almost too much! Great meal, great restaurant, will come back again.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Patio DiningWe decided to try the patio this time at Capital Grille for a Sunday evening dinner, and were not disappointed. Our server was extremely attentive to our needs during our dining experience, and made sure that everything was appropriately handled.
The filet was not quite as spectacular as on our last visit, lacking the generous dusting of porcini rub as had been requested; in addition, my filet was to have been just short or medium, but past medium-rare, and it came out closer to medium-rare than desired. Still a great filet, but just a tad bit undercooked on the one end. The Grgich Cabernet recommended by our server paired excellently with dinner, as well as with the flourless espresso chocolate cake. Jodie provided excellent service and her support crew was outstanding, making sure our table was kept neat and stocked without interfering with our evening. The flourless chocolate cake was a wonder anniversary gift from the kitchen and not a single crumb was left behind.

We were presented with the lunch menu which was perfect for a lady's appetite like my mother has. We ordered off the $18 plate menu, which was a choice of appetizer, entree and side. All of the choices were just right for our occasion. Service was attentive. Food was fresh and thoughtfully prepared and delicious and a very good value for the price. The wine list was very interesting with many reasonably priced options both bottles and by the glass. The tenderloin and butter poached lobster tails were prepared exactly as ordered. The porcini rubbed filet was certainly a treat not to be missed. Our server, Rob, recommended a Cabernet wine, but after trying it, we did not care for it. He promptly found us one that was more to our palate profile.
The chocolate hazelnut cake....decadent beyond words. The waiters "hustle" at the beginning, while not dissimilar to other upscale steak restaurants is annoying to say the least. Once our meal was served, our all too attentive waiter at the beginning, left us with empty wine glasses with the wine in a bucket just out of reach. We practically had to trip him to get him to refill our wine glasses.

From the front staff to our amazing server, no one seemed annoyed that we had brought our children. The food excellent, but of course you would expect it at a place of this caliber. But the service was over the top and far outweighed or expecations. Have been to quite a few over the years and they are consistantly excellent.
This one was special. For Brunch they brought out a fruit plate (pineapple, cantaloupe, melon, and berries) with a bread basket with more breakfast items like strudel and biscuits. The special extras didn't stop there as they provided a complimentary side of Truffle Mac for the table in honor of Easter. And the Truffle Mac is better than any other steakhouses.
I am thankful to have a Capital Grille in my fair city now. I will be there regularly.

The service was outstanding and set the bar much higher for other restaurants in FTW. The staff were very friendly. I was there for a girlfriends birthday dinner and our server brought a beautiful rose for her to the table. She took a picture of us, printed it, put it in a jacket and gave it to her as a memory for the night. The waiter also brought out a complimentary dessert that was to die for--it was a flourless chocolate espresso cake served on a white platter with Happy Birthday (name) written in chocolate sauce on the plate, and served with raspberries and a glass of champagne for each of us.
