  • "The last two times I have been here, my steaks were not cooked how I ordered them. The first time, it was undercooked and I actually had to send it back TWICE! This past Saturday night, I ordered my steak,, as usual, between medium rare and medium. What I got was nearly medium well. The tenderness and juice of the steak was cooked out of it. Unfortunately, we had another engagement and I didn't have time to send it back so I ate it. If I am going to pay this kind of money for a steak, I expect a good cut of meat and for it to be cooked as I want it! This has always been one of my favorite places to eat but I fear that it's slipping and that's very disappointing!."

  • "This place has good quality steaks, and the ambience is almost warm and inviting. The service is just ok though; there is an underlying current of arrogance from the staff there that is extremely annoying at times. At the end of the day, this place is a nothing more than a chain restaurant, albeit a high-end chain, with a decent wine list and good quality steaks - not great, not amazing, but good and dependable. You could confuse this place with Bob's - another chain - but I would say that Capital Grille does have a slight more energetic feel, otherwise they are near identical. As one would expect from an American chain restaurant, the sauces are heavy and overbearing so best to get those on the side."

  • "This was our first time to dine at Capital Grille, Plano. The experience was good, however, should have been better. We were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday! Initially, we were introduced to several wait staff who were to be serving us. With all involved, I feel that the service was not quite up to standard. Our waiter, Harold, kept checking in, however, walked away several times forgetting what we had requested. Maybe he was overwhelmed...this is not good in a restaurant of this status! In comparison to Capital Grille Fort Worth and Houston which we have dined several times...this was not what we expected. I was disappointed...my husband appeared to enjoy himself. However, I know the eveing could have been much better."

As we wrapped up dinner and were ready to leave the waitress said, hold on we have a nice surprise for you. To celebrate our 30th anniversary they brought out a plate with a couple of deserts and champaign. This was unsolicited and made the evening very special. Wonderful night, wonderful food, and that special service that always makes an event or dinner over the top perfect."

The food was delicious, I had the sole, one of our party had the lamb chops and one had the filet. All of it was prepared to our liking. I guess the only criticism was that our waiter seemed to be in a rush and was rushing our meal. Almost like get us fed, paid and out for the next customers."

On this visit, the service was outstanding, as always, but the kitchen was below slightly its typical superb standards, in overcooking an entree order of scallops, and the new bartender took several times to get a drink order right that is normally a "lay down". I will be back, for sure, and feel this was simply an off night for the chef, who is one of the best around!"

The steaks are of the highest quality and cooked to perfection, and the King crab legs were succulent.   • "Very busy for 7pm but they were able to get us seated right on time. Great appetizers selection, salad was amazing and many different options on steak. They had great wine by the glass selections if you are not planning to get a whole bottle. We were served right away and the gentleman taking our orders had the menu down to the wire on what goes best with what. We will definitely be going back there for the next occasion."
