We left and made a reservation on open table at the Capital Grille. They sat us immediately and even put heart confetti on the table because it was our anniversary. They saved the day! The food was delicious and they also offered appropriate kid choices, which I was afraid would not happen. The wait staff was attentive and the rose given to all the ladies was a nice touch. The food was spectacular and my wife says this is now her favorite eggs benedict of all time. The filet was cooked to perfection and well appreciated by my son. The service was excellent but could have been a bit faster at times. Very attentive staff and catered for every need. All the food was done to perfection. Reflected for in the price but good value for special occasion. Slight irritation when wait staff ask us if "is everything looks fantastic?" when we are just served and then "does everything taste fantastic?" when we have just started our meal. My husband and I came here for our Anniversary, we decided to come for a late lunch. We were treated like royalty. There was an error on one of our side and it was quickly rectified. In addition, Steve our waiter was knowlegable about ingredients to work around some food allergies in the group. A wonderful evening. The parking valet can be a bit of a challenge. We were able to sit outside even though is was a bit chilly (had heaters if needed). The waitress was helpful in our wine and menu choices. We didn't have room for dessert so she brought us a serving of cheesecake for the road! I would recommend the Capital Grille to anyone who wants an excellent meal (we had Delmonico steak and the trout special, spinach salad and crab/lobster cakes for appetizer)and doesn't mind spending a bit - you definitely get a lot for what you pay but it is worth it!3/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
