Everything about our experience here was amazing including the superior wold-class service our server Khalid provided. Everything was spot on from menu descriptions to suggestions he offered us. I always order steak tartar whenever i see it on a menu and have to say capital's blew me away, very simplistic presentation that allowed the true freshness of the steak shine through. My mom had the filet and the moment she bit in stated this was the standard all other filets shoul live up to an aspire to be. Had to have desert of course, AMAZING chesecake bruleed on top and had the coconut cream pie for the first time SOOO GOOD. Best steakhouse in Boston!!!!!"

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and had made reservations at 5:15pm. The traffic was bad and we didn't arrive until 5:30. Capitol Grille held our reservation and when we arrived had a table prepared for us with rose peddles and heart confetti (very nice). Zack our server was attentive but not pushy. Capitol Grille treated us to complimentary champagne, a very nice way to start the evening. The food was, as expected, outstanding! We had soup (lobster bisque) and for the main course my wife had the filet and I had the dry aged sirloin, all perfectly prepared. Again Capitol Grille out did themselves and gave us complimentary desert. It was a wonderful evening and the food and service was great. I recommend Capitol Grille anytime"

  • "It might be because we went there during restaurant week, but the servers were literally throwing stuff on our table without ever making eye contact. The wait to order was 30 min, the meat was dry and chevy, and the cheese cake too sweet and soggy, tasting like some cheap, old tv dinner dessert. Not worth the price."

The crab cakes was amazing, The steak was cooked exactly how it was order. Well overall, the entire meal was delicious. The service was outstanding, I even asked the waitress his name so when I go back I can request to be serve by him again."

  • "We went to the capital grille for Restaurant Week. We were seated right at our reservation time. The food was absolutely fantastic! We got the filet mignon and the Kona crusted steak-- delicious. I would expect better service if we were ordering off the regular menu.. It was good but not great. The place was packed and non-restaurant week customers got a different level of service. (ie, we didn't get a bread basket, no black napkins for black pants, no hot towel after the meal). That said, it's still a great experience as the food was fantastic-- some restaurants serve inferior food to restaurant week customers but the Capital Grille does that part right."

The steak was perfect, wine menu is excellent, great service and a cool new age american steakhouse ambiance. Again, the steak tasted exceptional and was cooked great. The only reason I took a star off for Food was because of the mediocre salad, which resembled that of a $5 pizzeria and was quite disappointing."

  • "This place was great, since the food was cooked perfectly and the service was amazing. I went during restaurant week in Boston and had a three course meal that satisfied the foodie in me. The kona crusted steak was seared just right leaving the the inside medium rare just the way I like it. Even the side dishes of mashed potatoes and haricot verts were surprisingly good. The other two dishes I had were the flourless chocolate espresso cake and the clam chowder, in which both were very enjoyable. I would definitely go here again."

  • "I brought my friend Danny here for a celebratory dinner for graduating from the fire academy. It was his first time. We were seated about 5 minutes after we arrived. First thing I noticed, we were not offered a cocktail or wine list. I'm sure the waiter thought we were underage as we both do look young but that was unprofessional of him to assume so. Dinner was amazing as always. Dessert - I secretly asked that they write "Congratulations" on the dessert plate. It came out better than I pictured. Danny was very surprised and really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. Thanks Capital Grille!"

  • "For $38, this year's restaurant week menu selection went above expectations. To start I chose the clam chowder, which upheld Boston's reputation for tasty chowder - although, is argue there is better in town. Went with the 8oz filet mignon for my entree, cooked medium rate plus. Meat was cooked perfectly. The accompaniments, mashed potatoes and asparagus were good but not great. The dessert, the flourless chocolate expresso cake was also near perfection. I've been to the Caiptal Grille in Costa Mesa, California and thought the bread basket there was better with more options than we had at this location. Overall great experience!"

  • "My sister and I went to The Capital Grille for Dine out Boston, and everything about it was incredible. Our waiter was attentive, helpful with the menu and extremely pleasant. My glass get too empty, and everything arrived in perfect time. Our food was even more memorable than the lovely staff. My filet mignon was by far the best I have ever had, and the accompaniments were delicious. Our meal came with a bowl of green beans and mashed potatoes, and each had been transformed into something amazing. Dessert lived up to our meal; our chocolate flourless espresso cakes were rich and indulgent. My only critique of The Capital Grille was that it was VERY dark, which kept me from taking pictures. Overall, though, a truly amazing experience."

  • "If you haven't been to Capital Grille before, you should absolutely go if you can afford it. Their filet mignon is amazing. We ordered ours medium-rare and it came out with a warm dark center, exactly as a filet should. Drinks are on the pricey side (a $44 filet so its expected), though $15 for an Manhattan with Gentlemen Jack seems a little steep. We went for Dine Out (Restaurant Week) Boston, so I shouldn't complain. We got an amazing meal and experience! Highly recommended."

I asked to have a smaller steak prepared then what was on the menu. They did and it was great too. This restaurant is always a great choice for great food and service."

  • "Anyone that has been to Cap Grille knows how wonderful their steaks are. I had the filet along with Sam's mashed and green beans. Best meal I have had in a while. I am never disappointed here and the service is always great. It was super busy (630 on a Friday) and I never had to wait for a cocktail. I will be back for sure!"
