We are originally from Washington and have rarely experienced comparable service in the South Florida area,,,,,,,,,,,,until now!! Our waiter, Jason, is top notch and we will request him again in the future. The sommelier, or wine manager? as he described himself, was equally attentive and knowledgeable. My Peppercorn Cognac Sirloin was wildly overcooked however as I ordered Medium Rare and should have returned it after chewing on the Grey corners, the center of the steak was sort of juicy, however the texture was already DOA. Regardless of this Faux Pas, the restaurant beckons a return visit simply for the service, hospitality, and quality of the food. Noisy to no end, with bags going back and forth. Excellent food and an excellent meal for eating at a Mall. But if you think of business or romantic mood, or even dressing up a bit as you would do elsewhere, go to another location. Service was excellent. However, an adjoining table had a couple that was obviously known to the staff. They had someone chatting to them from the side about the whole meal, Very disturbing for the surrounding tables. Management had no cares for that. Guys, you are here to work and not to chat with your friends, and certainly not to disturb the rest of the tables with your loud conversation. The dining room is spacious and tastefully decorated. We sat at a large comfortable booth and our waitress came right away to introduce herself. She was outstanding also. She accommodated all our requests. We ordered the seabass, truffle fries and dry aged sirloin. All the food was excellent. We had the creme brulee for dessert which was ok, nothing outstanding.
I will be coming back to this location. The only disappointment was the valet service. It was a disaster. Worst valet I have ever experienced. I thought I'd try the new menu option of the Parmesan Crusted Bass. It was a bit dry and with no sauce option. I ate it and the portion was just a bit smaller than what the price point was. The salad that accompanied it was fabulous. So fresh the flavors danced on my tongue. My friend had filet and as usual was cooked perfectly. Had filet with lobster mac/cheese and sauteed spinach. All were top notch and excellently prepared. My Mom really enjoyed the pumpernickel in the bread basket. And here's a nice touch. When the waiter packed up the leftovers, knowing that my Mom enjoyed the bread so much, he packed a couple of extra pieces of bread in the bag. Now THAT's above and beyond service. The bread basket upon seating is varied in taste and texture, and a great way to start the experience.
