One of our goes was newly arrived from Brazil. She particularly appreciated the way he took time to explain dishes. The lobster bisque, one of my favorites at Capital Grill, was particularly good. Josh obviously made a special effort to put lots of lobster in my bowl. I enjoy everything about Capital Grill."

  • "This is really an outstanding place. when you think chain restaurant.... No Way. However, yes. This is a well run sensational delicious on top foot all restaurant.. we go all the time and from steaks (special) to fish this has it all. not only has it all it is always good and service is lovely. Friendly staff from front desk to the Free parking valet. now that valet is really a great advantage in LA.We 4 people sat and talked for over three hours.. no rushing or move over or just allowed us to have a great evening.This is a expensive meal however you do not feel you have been taken advantage of.."

They gave us complimentary Champagne to start, which started our lunch out festively then finished with a complimentary desert plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate. It had a cream bruille' cheesecake, and a flourless chocolate cake and fruit on the plate. The food is always very good. The mushroom rubbed steak was the best. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special lunch."

  • "I've come to know that each Capital Grille I go to will offer me a sense of familiarity, upscale comfort and a reliably great time out whether I'm on the West coast, East coast or in the Midwest. Our server, Carlton, allowed me to taste 2 of the wines to help me come to a decision and I was glad for the opportunity. Steak was cooked perfectly and was deliciously tender and flavorful in equal parts. I would definitely go back, and thank the restaurant for offering complimentary valet. In Los Angeles, that's quite a perk."

  • "What a fantastic time. This place has energy and the staff are extremely friendly, attentive and professional. The crowd is very diverse as is the staff. We had a delicious meal served in a timely manner. The tables are spaced nicely apart so even though it was full and lively you could not hear the conversation at the next table nor could they hear you. We both had steak and an appetizer and at the conclusion of dinner our waiter brought my date a beautiful rose. What a great touch and a fantastic way to end/begin our evening. I had an amazing time and look forward to dining here again. I also wish to personally thank the manager and owners for hiring such fantastic staff and for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere."

Tablecloth decorated with colorful tiny decorations. Food was excellent. My husband had a steak and I had lamb chops. We shared a side of creamed spinach. Very good. Two people had sea bass and enjoyed their entrees very much. Lobster bisque also very good. Lovely desert for the birthday folks that we all could share."

  • "This is my third time to capital grille Went because we wanted a good steak I was so disappointed. Will not be going back. My steak was cold and flavorless. The backed potato I ordered on the side was also cold not even warm and it was dry. Not even fluffy and steamy. My mother did not even eat hers and my father left most of his. There were two or three big private parties and I'm guessing that had something to do with it. What a shame $300 and bad food = never again."

  • "My friend and I celebrated our birthdays with a group of friends at the restaurant. We mostly ordered from the dineLA menu and ordered the lobster Mac and cheese from the regular menu. The food was great and the service was awesome. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and she was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated in a private room area next to the wine cellar which was an added bonus. Overall, had a great time and will be coming back."

  • "I went for my birthday with my girlfriend. The restaurant looks nice the decor is beautiful. Once seated our server wasn't very helpful. I had to coax him into explaining an entree. I asked him how it was prepared and he repeated what he said at first. It wasn't that he was rude, he made me feel like we didn't belong there based on his comments. Lastly we had leftovers, once we got home they only wrapped up the sides and not the filet, lobster or shrimp was in our bag. The server made an assumption and at first he didn't want to give us his full attention, but once the manager came to help him. He seemed really nice. Even gave me a b day cake. So overall I would say go, maybe the guy was just having a bad day."

Good salads and fantastic mashed potatoes. They also have a really large wine selection that's awesome. For anyone who is not familiar with this place it's located near the Beverly Center and they have free parking validation. I recommend you make reservations."

  • "As a college student, I don't really have the chance to dine at fancy restaurants. My boyfriend and I visited through dineLA and had a wonderful experience. The food and service was amazing and it was nice being able to walk around the area afterwards. He ordered the sirloin while I had the salmon. Both were delicious, but the steak was definitely better. the waiters were never in your face, but were there whenever needed. Our waitress was super sweet and funny. We got a three course meal for $25 each thanks to dineLA, an amazing opportunity that I would highly recommend."

  • "We met some friends for our second visit this last weekend. We requested the same server as on our first visit (Renato...he does a great job), and he greeted us by name and treated us like the VIP's we are most definitely not :). He had a couple freebies brought to the table (Stoli Dolis from the bar...highly recommended, and fried calamari...not the least bit rubbery) in advance of another fine meal. Can't remember all the dishes. but the Kona crusted ribeye is amazing, as is the dry-aged steak au poivre. Sides were all well cooked and presented, and the desserts (espresso flour-less cake, chocolate hazelnut cake, and creme brûlée) were wonderful. We really like coming here, for both excellent food and service."

I had an amazing time at the one in DC from the surrounding of staff, the ambience, and it was all around better than this one next to Beverly Center. The staff was friendly but nothing memorable. The place was quite empty and I don't think their music was loud enough to set the right dinner-ambience. The food was good, but I'm not going back because it was just like an average mediocre steakhouse. I no longer felt like it was a grand steakhouse that I would want to celebrate at again."
