The philosophy of Capers is to utilize all the successful elements of the past business, and to bake breads, muffins, desserts on the premises. Homemade jam and soups, and of course our crab cakes, are also made on premises in the “from scratch,” kitchen.

  • "A very nice neighborhood restaurant with good food, and ambience. Coffee could have been hotter and refilled more often. My husband's toast was forgotten and we had to ask for it. We were seated at a table on an aisle where the servers were going in/out. This was a little distracting and not conducive to conversation."

  • "Capers, formerly Sam Sneed's, is a great place for a casual, inexpensive dinner. Chicken Quesadilla (order it crispy) is terrific. Happy hour for drinks is now available in the entire restaurant until 7:00 pm. Bar bites available in the bar until 7:00 pm also."

  • "THis is one of our favorite restaurants, especially for breakfast. However, this is the first time we went to dinner. The food is always good here. Homemade bread delicious. We had the 2 house wines with meat loaf and salmon. Wonderful bread pudding for dessert. The only problem was the server was very slow and did not bring our salads until an hr later. When we spoke to John, owners son, he got our food immediately. The server apologized and said she had a table mix up. Seems like she was in the other room, not the dining room. However, this is the first time this has happened there, so I do not want to give a bad review. We will go back again, especially for breakfast and homemade pumpkin muffins."

  • "We enjoyed Capers so much during our first visit that we went back three days later. The first visit, we had brunch - lots of great menu items to choose from. Especially enjoyed the soup and the curried chicken salad, and others in our party enjoyed the omelettes and baked goods. The second time we were there, we had a late lunch. Delicious food again - great burger, fresh salad with fruit and feta cheese. Can't wait for our third meal at Capers!"

The waitress, while being courteous and friendly, was overworked and had a hard time keeping up with the patrons demands. The food was outstanding but the ambiance was lacking on this night. Love Capers and will go back again and again for the high quality food."

  • "Third time I've eaten there in six weeks and loved it every time. The crab cakes are unbelievable, the rack of ribs unbelievable and the meat loaf - well - unbelievable. This go-around our waiter Michael - from Garden City, NY, we're from Long Island as well - was terrific. Have to go early one day for the crab Benedict for breakfast. I really recommend reservations, as the more people who find out about it will make it more crowded. Great, Great Restaurant!!!"

  • "I came with my mom and my baby for dinner one night. We couldn't even hear each other talk. It was as loud as a high school cafeteria. Food was blah, not many choices. Needs to be updated. Good if You are an older person and who wants an early bird special. I am 35 and was By far the youngest one there by 20 years. Have gone for brunch and it Was better. Definitely will not go for anything other than that."

  • "Have dined her 2X both times it was extremely busy & the service was sub par at best. I had the eggs benedict & my husband had the mexican omelet-both were very good. When we were finished we sat for a while then had to ask for the bill, waiter was polite but confused, we were there for close to 2 hours. Might give it another try but not unless we've got nowhere else to be and can kill that kind of time. First visit during sunday brunch we waited forever to order our drinks which took too long to arrive and then he actually brought the wrong drinks so we had to wait again. I have told several people about this place because i think the food is good and the portions are nice size so the price is fair. Just need to work the service kinks out."

  • "My husband and I had Valentine's dinner here last night and had a stellar dinner. The chef came out and chatted w us and recommended the Coffee and Doughnuts for dessert! Wow- Tiny cro-nuts- well, too good to describe. The KeyLime pie was fantastic also. As was the adult milkshake: Hummer. All afer a delicious dinner. But the winner, above even the desserts, was the appetizer: Pate de fois gras w dried apple, pumpkin seeds, beet, onion, dates, blood orange- all in miniature and amazing accompaniments to the smoothest, tastiest fois gras ever. I would definintely return and bring friends!"

  • "We have had Sunday breakfast at Capers many times. Sometimes I make a reservation, sometimes we chance it. No matter what we have been accommodated as quickly and graciously as possible. Food comes out of the kitchen hot , looks appealing and in a timely manner. Our waiter Scott has been terrific in his handling of the busy Sunday morning crowd. Accurate and very pleasant. Kudos to him. The only reason I didn't give this all 5 stars is- the noise level is very high in the dining room and when very full feels quite cramped."

  • "We had a great breakfast at Capers. My Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. I don't think I've ever had better. My husband enjoyed his huge omelet. Both of us had the hash browns which were included with our meals. They were fabulous. Neither of us could finish the generous portion, and later regretted we hadn't asked to take the left overs home. They were that good. Our young server, Matthew, was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. All in all a perfect breakfast experience."

  • "We recently moved to Naples & are discovering new places. Capers is only a couple miles from our home. It is in a strip mall & a great little neighborhood place. Food & service was very good on a busy Saturday night. My only complaint is that they close too early at 9:00 pm. Too bad because they have a really nice bar area but, by the time we finished, thebararea was dead & shutting sown. I just their breakfast is their gold mind but I would go back for thse too."

  • "This may be a good place for breakfast or lunch, but not for a nice evening on the town. The place is similar a Denny's or First Watch. We went for Dinner and were disappointed. Limited menu, and nothing much of interest. Beer and wine selections - same comment. Our server was pleasant, but he didn't come around often."

  • "Although the service was good, the food was a great disappointment. Do not order the meatloaf unless you want a dry, chewy, unpalatable entree. Ugh! The ribs were just okay (watch for small bones where the chef chopped them into serving sizes). Dessert was also disappointing; a cream puff that needed a knife to cut and dry as an old pastry could be. With all the restaurants in town, we won't go back to this one."
