We can always count on the food to be delicious! Nothing beats those house-made potato chips with Maytag blue cheese melted over them. The 2 steaks ordered at the table were both cooled exactly as requested, with very cheddary mashed potatoes. We also had a burger (huge!) and Chicken Romano (which was large enough to share with the table!). The only downside was them not having one of the desserts we ordered - Key Lime Pie, but they comped the dessert ordered instead, which was nice, and not necessary. There were a half dozen booths open and they said that those booths were being held for folks who had specifically requested booths. I noticed on the way out that most of the booths were occupied by two folks of varying ages telling me that they really were not interested in taking care of us and just wanted to get people sat in a hurry as they got crushed with folks coming in as they opened for Mother's Day. All of that last part is understandable, however lying to the customer and saying that all of those tables of two had requested booths - come on!
I would recommend Cap City - but advise you to spell out EXACTLY what table you want when making a reservation.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day '13'Great time overall. Reservation was about 20 minutes late but it was Mother's day and a party of 14 was just seated. Food, service, drinks, and seating location were excellent.

I had that again on this occasion, and it was just as spectacular as I remember. My fiancee tried the Saturday Blue Plate which was Short Ribs, and they were so tender! I even tried a bite of my son's chicken fingers, and thought they were some of the best I've ever had! Love Cap City-our waiter was great. She made all our group at home and welcomed. Can't say enough about staff here-from kids to granny's she was super. Casual and high noise so we fit in we'll! Food was great as always-drinks replenished without hassle. She even brought my 4 year old nephew a small bowl of cherries to munch on after he saw his older sister with a Shirley Temple! The chips were addictive, They're a must-have. The blue cheese cole slaw didn't really have the pungency I was expecting. Pork chops were so moist...probably the best I've ever had, and they paired incredibly with the chipotle cheddar mashed potatoes and spinach. The pie was extremely rich...a bite or two were plenty for me. The portions were huge though! TheThis place is just good. The menu has a wide varity of dishes to choose from, the food is excellent, and it comes out looking like a picture in a food magazine. (Did I mention it is really good?) Make sure you leave room for dessert. Most of them are the perfect size to share, but trust me, you will not want to... I recomend the chocolate cake. But be warned, it is HUGE!
The servers are fun and funny and know all about the items on the menu. Their suggestions will not steer you wrong.
The only down side is that the wait for a table can take some time. Our server was great and recommended a few different dishes and we ended up ordering what he had pointed out which was his favorites. We split the Calamari to start and our entree's were the talapia and chicken (next time I will try the meatloaf as it came highly recommended). We topped our evening off with the peanut butter pie and some drinks. We were always attended to but never felt rushed or overpowered by the service.
