  • "This is a favourite spot for me and my girlfriend for a friendly lunch. We need a restaurant that is convenient and where we can do lots of girl talk. There's plenty of parking which is a wonderful surprise coming from the heart of Toronto. The selection of dishes is quite extensive. We particularly enjoyed the Chicken Thai Salad. Delicious and really interesting ingredients in this dish. Their espresso is wonderful also. Service was professional and friendly without being invasive. We'll be back soon!"

  • "Seating for seven is not comfortable. Hard to hear people for conversation.Too close to people behind us. The server could not navigate around the table but had to pass me my meal. The food was fair certainly NOT as good as we experienced over the summer. The baked potatoes were luke warm and did not taste fresh made bit rather like they were kept warm under heatng lamp (cheese had crusted). The ceasar salad was vinegary and somewhat stingy - eg one crouton, the machiatto and latte were watery. Our server was competent but lacked personality.Not so busy but we were seated in a thoroufair with people passing behind. Our reservation asked not to be seated in the middle of the floor. No one likes to feel like they are sitting in a hallway."

  • "I am most upset by the volume of 'music / noise' in your place. It's not pleasant having to shout to the person across from you even though it's only 2 feet. What are you thinking? The staff who work long hours exposed to the NOISE should be CONCERNED ! I am thinking of long term exposure - hearing loss. Similar to the " TV campaign ' about 2nd hand smoke ie: - the woman eventually died. Gradual hearing loss over long periods of noise does happen. PLEASE make your place quieter - so I, and other patrons, would spend more time there. Please consider persons who wear hearing aids, and become uncomfortable as the time spent surrounded by the volume of sound. I do want to return, - Please lower the volume. Ester Calder"

  • "Made reservations through Open Table. Definitely the way to go, not just for special occasions but for any time. So many people came in and were given 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait time, ouch! We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time and did not feel hurried from our seat once dining. Outstanding service (we actually had two waitresses)."

  • "Overall experience was excellent with a few minor setbacks. First, when we orders our drinks my scotch on the rocks had way too much ice for a single shot. I didn't mention this but in hindsight I think I should have said something. My wife's cheesecake was undercooked and running. The waitress, Veronica, did not hesitate to accommodate her with a dessert of her choice on the house and also added two glasses of Bailey's. Despite the Scotch and the Cheesecake, the experience was delightful and we will certainly be returning and I'm more than willing to recommend this restaurant to a friend."

Nice to be able to reserve for a busy Valentine's night and not have to wait in line like other restaurants who don't take reservations. Parking a little limited on busy nights."

  • "Overall food was good. The only criticism about food was my prime rib cut was very fatty. This would have scored higher however the whole night we felt rushed. Dinner for 2 with 3 course meal finished in 55 minutes. I wasn't even finished my starter salad and they brought out our mains. Didn't even ask if we wanted coffee, tea or another drink and put bill on the table. I know it's valentines but we chose your restaurant to spend our money at. Next time we'll think twice."

  • "This was my first time eating at Canyon Creek. We had gone there after work for a friend's birthday. It's a lovely place with just the right amount of lighting and music. Our server was excellent and she knew just what we needed. The food was amazing! I ordered a Smokey Bacon & Cheddar Burger, and I can say, that I have never had a more delicious burger than this one. If you're looking for a fun or romantic place this is the one!"

On their website, it was indicated that there was winterlicous fixed price menu, but when we got to the restaurant, they said that they don't do winterlicous. There was no explanation whatsoever. Waitress Lucy rushed us into getting our order, in the meantime, the other table, she explained the menu and seemed very friendly to them. We felt that there was a bit of a 'discrimination and racism' attitude because we don't have that certain look where we can afford to be in this restaurant. The waitress was very pushy about getting drinks/wine when we didn't even get a chance to look at the menu. Will not recommend or go back to this restaurant."

  • "The service was okay. I'll be honest, I don't think the waitress even told us her name. She never told us any of the special or anything. She just took our order. I was disappointed with the cups that are used for a kids meal. Let's be honest, who gives a 2 and a 4 year old glass to drink their milk, which are actually used for alcoholic beverages? The salmon was very good, but for being a chop house, the meat was okay. The kids nuggets were very yummy/, but the burger was alright....nothing special."

Promised to bring bread around and forgot. We had to ask on numerous occaions for milk for coffee. Wondering if i would go back again???"

  • "We go to this restaurant fairly often and it doesn't disappoint. On this occasion, we were there for lunch. It wasn't busy when we got there but we had a reservation (you never know when it's going to be busy). I ordered from the "lunch" menu while my husband ordered from the regular menu. Th 6oz prime rib was a perfect lunch size and was quite good. My husband's chipotle top sirloin was cooked perfectly. Our server - Laura - was great. Very attentive and very friendly. I've had her as a server before at lunch and she's great. Another delicious meal."

  • "This restaurant needs help in the music/speaker department..where we sat, we could hear 2 music sources, both inconsistent content with overriding bass background and neither one able to seperate nor hear the music to engage with it...kind of like hearing the bass boom of the guy in the car behind you and not being able to hear the music but certainly get annoyed by the bass boom-boom...I love good music and will listen to almost anything except rap and heavy metal genre..however, if the song can not be heard and is in competition with another 'noisy song', then 2 wrongs do not make a right..the noise makes an irritated client..come on people...fix the sound"

  • "We booked at the Sherway location for their 'Special Reserve Now NYE Menu'. Once seated, the waiter told us they weren't offering the NYE menu (steak + half lobster). Instead, there was lobster mash potato (very little lobster) - *SAME PRICE*. Product levels area restaurant challenge, but if you don't know how to do it, don't offer a 'special, reservation-only menu' - we MADE a reservation.Top off - steak was cooked perfectly, but totally unseasoned, and the climate control blew cold air the whole night - my gf wore her coat through dinner, and my perfectly cooked steak was refrigerator-cold before i was half done. Not the waiters fault - did what he could - but very, very pporly managed. Won't be trusting CC with future special events."

Although we had booked a special prix fixe dinner we were told that it had 'run out'. However we did get a good alternative served quickly and well. The place was very noisy - seething with a much younger crowd who seemed (not surprisingly) to be in a pretty merry mood...some with young kids at 10pm!!!! My guest and I had difficulty conversing. Other than that it was a pleasant experience and the food/service was exemplary"

  • "We came in specifically for the steak and half lobster New Year's special and there was none left. Our reservation was for 6:30 pm., and we had placed our order by 7:00 pm. Our server came out to tell us that they had run out of the 1/2 lobster. He was most apologetic. HOWEVER, WHO EVER DID THE ORDERING FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE UNDERESTIMATED THE DEMAND FOR THE LOBSTER. If we were eating for 9:00 pm I could understand them running out but NOT WHEN OUR ORDER WAS PLACED BY 7:00 PM. NOT SURE IF I WILL DINE THERE AGAIN! I feel there should have been compensation for this inconvenience. I will not recommend anyone go there for a New Year's Eve dinner again."

  • "Our experience was good most of the group got the oscar sirloin special The steak was a bit smaller then expected and the lobster crab and shrimp was negligible It was cooked to order though and the meal was tasty. Service was a bit slow as it took a while for the meal to be served and a very long time for desert to arrive The experience overall was good as we had a group of friends who always have a good time together ."

  • "We arrived at 5 to catch up. The waiter was appropriately understanding and gave us a chance to enjoy some wine and relative quiet before dinner. The meal of roast beef was good. The noise level rose steadily as the crowd appeared after 6 pm. Still my place of choice for meeting old friends for a good visit over a good meal."
