They comped a couple of items instead. This is the way to encourage repeat business! On a Saturday night it was quite busy and noisy, so not the place for a romantic evening.
Service was excellent. Waiter was very busy with a large table and enlisted the manager's help in processing our bill so we wouldn't have to wait. I chose Canyon Creek because of the cedar planked salmon (My mothers favourite). However, I was surprised when she ordered the rainbow trout special. I also had that and it was delicious. The prime rib and lobster special was also fantastic and enjoyed at the table. The Ravioli was to die for and rounded out our table selection. We enjoyed a few rounds at the bar prior to seating and the bread, crab cake, and lettuce wrap appetizers were excllent start to the meal. The wait staff were attentive and the service was prompt. Their helpful suggestions were important. The menu is extensive and varied enough to please all tastes. The prices are what you would expect in a finer restaurant, but not outlandish.
The prime rib is one of their signature dishes and it was excellent.
The wine list is very comprehensive.

This is our favorite restaurant in town, and we always take out-of-town guests there for dinner, as well as celebrating all our special occasions there.
