It was quite noisy, not very conducive for a romantic evening. The 4 guys at the table across (bachelor party?) were quite loud. Food was outstanding!

Hands down. Canyon Street is the best in town. Local ingredients. I had the filet done Oscar style. Maryland Blue crab was outstanding. Not an inexpensive place but very reasonable for fine dining in Fort Collins.

Neither my wife nor I eat much meat so she opted for the pasta/mushroom dish and I went for the crab cakes. Both were very good; the crabcakes were the best I've ever had. The service was primo. Bentley was very attentive, cordial and made a good recommendation on the Funkwerks ale. The other waiter, Eli, there was a friend of our younger son so it was good to see him and he helped w/ suggestions. I recommend this restaurant and especially for steak lovers.

We were so excited to go to Canyon Chop House during our recent visit to Fort Collins, Colo. I was less than pleased when we were seated next to a dirty window with a large empty pot filled only with dirt right outside the window. I looked up and the post for the pendant light above our table was very dusty and dirty. It obviously had not been cleaned in some time. The food was good but I would not go back. If there is no cleanliness in what the customer sees from the table one has to wonder about the kitchen.

I loved my wine, bread, salad, and fillet. We were seated at the last table before the kitchen entry area and bathrooms. The servers were dashing back and forth. There was no relaxed feeling! If this happens again, we will ask to be seated at the next available table or just leave.

I made reservations at Canyon Chop House so that I could propose to my now-fiancé. I called a few days before to ask for assistance from the wait-staff. I wanted the evening to be special and surprising, but still private and personal. The manager, Lisa, was incredibly helpful and eager to help in any way. Our waiter, Dan, was perfect - very attentive but not intrusive. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Lisa even sent over a couple glasses of champagne!

Having dined at this establishment for years I was appalled at the lack of professionalism, service and quality this visit. The wine list was hit or miss, "sorry we don't have that one" and another and another...Meat was frightfully under cooked pork and bison. The server then took credit card but failed to return the card. I'm still attempting to contact owner. For 200$ plus and get this treatment, I won't return.

Arriving in town for Cirque De Soleii, and one slot left on open table. Jumped to it at 715. When arriving after the show, real nice location but right in college town. No worries, school was out. However, it was prom and there was a group of 6 and a few other open slots. No app, but did order some well drinks - after waiting 10 minutes for our water and 5 more for our drinks. The waitress was overwhelmed, but the place is not too big and should be streamlined in logistics. She comes to the table and says, "the kitchen is backed up." I look in disbelief and said please bring another drink. 45 minutes in we got our salad, then our steak 1 hour after that. Horrible service for a 140 ticket. Will never return to this place.

Found a long human hair in the food which ruined the entire experience. No big deal to our server. Food is overpriced. I've been living in Fort Collins for 3 yrs and only recently heard of this gem! Better late than never with this place. I ordered the Duck, and my husband ordered the special (rabbit and lamb). We were both in awe of how amazing the food was. We did not order apps, but were too full to walk after the main course. We have traveled all over the world, and these may have been the best plates of food either of us have ever had! We will be back, we will be recommending this place to all our friends, and we will be bringing our parents there when they come to visit!

Food was amazing - buffalo steak and mussels were the best I have ever had! Service appeared annoyed to answer questions and were further annoyed by children. I would definitely go again but maybe not bring the kiddos and would not expect great service like I have received from steak houses of this caliber.

My husband and I had a great experience at the Canyon Chop House. When first sitting at the bar, the bartender was friendly and drink order quick. The tap beer was at an awesome cool temperature. Our dining experience was also good. Waitress and wait staff friendly and helpful. My husband's steak (Ribeye) was in his words A++, excellent. I was so happy to hear him say that. He is a chef himself, and extremely picky!! We would for sure stop back and recommend to others.

Canyon Chop House is always great. My wife changed her dish almost completely, since she does not like beans or cilantro. They substituted other sides, and she ended up with a dish at least as nice as the one on the menu. They had a special on wine, and we got a grape type we had never had before. It was wonderful. Had a large group nearby, but the noise level was fine. All in all a fine meal, great service, with great wine in a wonderful location.

My wife and I were looking for a good restaurant to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our first choice was Ruth's Chris, but going all the way to Denver during the week was impossible. A neighbor suggested the Canyon Chop House, and all I can say is, why go all the way to Denver! Both of us were very pleased with the food, and service. I was served the best filet mignon that I can remember, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the mixed grill, including filet, scallops, & seared pork belly, which was incredible! Ruth's Chris may have a more well known name, but I can't imagine they have better food. We were totally pleased, and will visit again.

The Canyon Chop House can be relied on for consistently good food which is a cut above (ha, ha) most restaurants in Fort Collins. This time I had the mixed grill special. The 5 oz tenderloin was cooked perfectly and was incredibly tender. The prosciutto-wrapped shrimp were a bit salty. The citrusy sweet potato purée was surprisingly addictive and the cherries were like a mini dessert. The Grey Goose martini with the blue cheese-stuffed olives was also delicious! Our server was pleasant and attentive but not overly so. It is more expensive than most other restaurants in town (dinner for two can easily run $100) but worth it, in my opinion.

My wife and I have dined here a number of times over the last couple of years and have always enjoyed the food but found the service to be inconsistent. On this night the food was great as usual but what really stood out was the service. Megan and her assistant (young man with longish blonde hair) were fantastic. Plenty of offers for additional bread, water refills and our wine glasses were kept topped-off throughout the meal. The manager seemed to be on top of things as well, for example we noticed him checking little details like how tables were being reset etc (impressive). If you're looking for fine dining and you're tired of paying ala carte prices then give the CCH a try ... And be sure to ask for Megan!

Table wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but was ready soon after. It was in an interesting location, right against a large wall so my date and I were wondering if our server even knew when we were sat. Service was a little slow, but food was amazing. We had the reservation for a little later in the night (8:15) so everything seemed to calm down right around when we were sat but we could tell it had been a hectic night for our server and she seemed a little frazzled. Delicious food over all. We will be back, but most likely earlier in the evening.
