I was looking forward to our
dinner at CL as we used to visit one many times when we lived in Texas. I was thoroughly disappointed in every way. Food and service were just fair. What really upset me was the price of the daily fish on the menu was not the same on my bill. A significant difference with no good explanation given when I asked. We will not go back"

To quote a member of our dining
party- "A great meal... You can always judge a Mexican restaurant by whether or not they put shredded lettuce on the food" Catina Laredo is not about shredded lettuce! The food was fresh, the guacamole is a must- made table side- and the adult beverage menu is extensive and intriguing. From a variety of margaritas and sangrias... Our table of eight received impeccable service and our special orders. I would recommend not eating at all during the day so that you have room for several baskets of the thin, crispy chips and your meal."

Can't go wrong if your in the mood
for a great meal."

Tableside guacamole is fantastic!
We had the sea bass special and the spinach enchiladas. Both were very flavorful and fresh. Love this place!"

I have to say that the restaurant
staff was very accommodating. I had to change my reservation x3 after learning that my brother's flight was delayed, and then he got stuck on I-4. Which should come as no surprise to anyone. Food was fantastic, other than ordering a filet to find it butterflied and rather fatty. It was a special though, so I assume that it is not served all the time. If it is, it needs to be trimmed better."

Food is consistently good. Waiter
was a frequent visitor refilling glasses as the food can be spicy. When he made the guacamole he could have asked if we wanted all the additional ingredients, which I overheard a waiter at the table next to us ask the couple if they wanted everything in it. only negative....one of our dinner guests did not receive her meal until 5 minutes after the rest of us received ours so we waited until she received hers (proper etiquette to wait) so our food was a little cool when hers came out. A star goes out to the host as one of our guests could not find the restaurant and not only did he talk to her on the phone to help get her to the restaurant but he went outside the restaurant to meet her.."

My boyfriend and I dined here on
Valentine's Day and had such high expectations. When we arrived there was only one Valet runner getting cars so the driveway was backed up. Once inside we had to wait another 10 minutes to be seated. None of the tables were set with napkins or silverware. The carpet was lifting up from the floor and there were chips everywhere. The food was subpar for the price. Our server was the only one working our section in the back and desperately needed help. It was impossible for her to be as attentive as she needed to be to everyone. In all - do expect too much from Cantina Laredo. We will not be back"

We usually don't frequent chain
resturaunts but we will visit this one again! Very fresh ingredients. Light flavorable fantastic service. Everyone loved their meals! Skinny Margaritas were wonderful. Light crispy warm chips with just the right amount of salt and nice salsas. Refilled without even asking! Two rellenos offered, one wrapped in steak were winners along with enchiladas Veracruz which were topped with fresh shredded veggies! Thank you to our server Diane and Rick the manager. Dessert. Yes have it. Triple Leche cake and Mexican Apple pie!"

Very nice restaurant in a very
upscale area of Orlando. Both of our entrees were very good and not your standard Mexican fare. All ingredients were fresh as promised. We are here from the North on vacation and would definitely revisit on our next trip."
Dined on 1/21/2014
Our group of 12 was met with open
arms. We were seated immediately and the waitstaff could not have been more friendly. The orders all came quickly and when one person found his dish too spicy they changed it without even asking twice. This group of people will definitely be returning."
Dined on 1/21/2014
We were seated promptly by a
friendly greeter. Our server was scrambling. He was friendly but he had 6 tables, you cannot provide attentive service with 6 tables…we counted them. They brought the wrong appetizer and those things happen but when the correct app was delivered by the manager he mad a negative comment about the kitchen trying to be funny, I guess. Poor taste. Their food used to be executed in a much better way. If you have been here before, you know their prices are high for Mexican but we enjoyed the food and service…not this time."

Took quite a while to find parking
spot. Otherwise great experience. D"

The food was good, the staff was
friendly My server was the best, great attitude, friendly, Knows the menu, over all my experience was Excellent. I will be back sooner than later. This Is not my first time and will not be my last. Thank you for a great dinning experience."

The food was good overall, service
low to fair, decor is terrible."
Dined on 12/29/2013
In terms of decor, the restaurant
doesn't have much personality, but the booths are cozy, and the magaritas, tacos and fajitas are very tasty. Great little neighborhood spot."
Dined on 12/28/2013
The decor is not what you would
expect in a Mexican restaurant. And the food even less. The decor is classy with a hint of Mexican and the food is delicious and a contemporary version of what would be Mexican. The services was good. The night my family was there it was too cold to sit outside but the area would have been very charming. The fountain outside is beautiful and a great picture backdrop. Dessert was fabulous. The brownie was one of the best I've had."
Dined on 12/15/2013
Rudest valet person ever but we
shook it off and started over. The restaurant looks plain. They are going for a sort of contemporary minimalist look. Our server was good which came to be the only real above average thing about Cantina Laredo. After an extensive chat with her about the various margaritas & our desire for the best/ top shelf tequila, a very average (at best) drink appeared. The suggested tableside guacamole was not very flavorful or impressive at all. It needed spices of some kind despite having their "secret" ingredient. The salsas and chips were good. Our carne asada & carnitas pork shanks were better, but still mildly flavored. At every turn we were left disappointed. Not bad but not good either. We just won't be back."

Met with friends for dinner and
had delicious food! Our waitress was a bit energetic and took some plates away at the wrong time...etc. She needs to be more in sync with our patrons! But she definitely tried!"
Dined on 12/7/2013
Margaritas need a lot of
improvement and some of the food,"
Dined on 11/29/2013
From the guacamole made tableside
appetizer thru the mango tres leches dessert all was fantastic. This was an excellent dinning experience for all 4 of us and we can't wait til we return."

We celebrated a birthday event.
The service was exceptional and the food of high quality with great presentation. Our seat outdoors was perfect! The fountain and quiet surroundings provided great ambience. We will attend again!"

Great for quiet and peaceful
atmosphere. The food and service was great. Will definitely return."

Having dined at Cantina Laredo in
the Dallas area for years, I was excited to find one in the Orlando area. HUGE difference. Everything was "fair." That's about as good as I can put it. Not great. Not bad. Just fair. Nothing exceptional, unfortunately."
Dined on 9/21/2013
We went on a slow night, not many
patrons. The food was excellent and the service was great."

It was my daughter sweet 16 and I
wanted to do something special plus have enough room to invite family & friends. Originally this was going to be about 5-7 people but last minute changed to about 15. The restaurant was wonderful regarding the change and put us in a private room! My daughter was so surprised! The food was amazing, service spectacular and our waiter, Andy, was absolutely the best!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Orlando area! We're already making plans to go back next month for my birthday!"
Dined on 9/8/2013
The Cantina has fallen in all
measurable standards since we were last there. simply not good and not worth the price."
Dined on 8/25/2013
Very enjoyable dinner. Would
recommend if you're in the mood for something different. Make room for dessert... the brownie and apple pie options are incredible! :)"

From the valet parking to the meal
itself, we found this restaurant to be a lucky find. The food was wonderful and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They also have a kids menu sure to please the pickiest kids. We only wish they were located in Maryland."

The food was yummy and the service
was lovely. Thanks for a great evening."

If you are looking for great
inbetween Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican, Cantina Laredo is the spot. It is neccesary to state that the service was on-point for all the times dined at (been to restaurant 2 times). Props to the waiters/waitresses there. The food was good (Tacos al Pastor and Carne Asada). The Tacos al Pastor was good, but not as great as the first time here. The Carne Asada was spectcular and on-point; interesting note that the meat was bedded on top of the chimichurri sauce. The rice/beans that the taco/carne came with can use some improvement; but does not take away from the meal. The ambience, style and design of the restaurants is great; each factor compliments each other to produce an energtic and lively environment."

We love Cantina Laredo. It can be
romantic or you can take the kids. The food is fresh, perfect portions and we loved the roaming mariachi band. This is a great place with good food and decent service."

We've been looking for a good
Mexican resturant since we moved to Orlando. We've finally found one."
Dined on 6/11/2013
Guacamole was out of this world.
Service was excellent...if having drinks, be there at happy hour. Otherwise, are quite expensive."

In a strip mall so can be a little
difficult to find. We sat outside next to the fountain which was very pretty and large! We were sat outside at our request but the hostess forgot to tell our waiter so we were there for 20 minutes before my husband went in to see what was going on. She was very apologetic though and so was the waiter. My husband and I had the beef fajita nachos which unlike what I was used to, came as individual chips with cheddar instead of the white cheese and had beans as well as the steak, pepper and onion. They were actually pretty good but be aware because it is different then anyone else does and there's no way to tell from the description. Free chips and salsa were very good and overall ambiance was nice."

I kept coming across the same few
Mexican recommendations on TripAdvisor & had decided on one of them when my husband said he'd check Open Table. That's when we saw Cantina Laredo & luckily they had reservations available for that same night. So glad we found this place! The restaurant is big so can accommodate lots of people at once but there are plenty of servers so service wasn't an issue. All of our dishes were delicious as were the chips & salsa that are replaced continuously unless you say stop! I have a picky 9-yr old who enjoyed his generous portion of "Mexican" chicken fingers as well! Would recommend if looking for a decent Mexican place while in Orlando."

Great time. Appetizers especially
Fajita Nachos are fantastic. Excellent Tequilla selections"
Dined on 4/26/2013
Cantina Laredo has the closest
tasting food to traditional Tex-Mex found in Texas that we have been able to find in Florida. The salsas (two types both served upon arriving) are unique and very good. The food is billed as gourmet Mexican by the restaurant, but I'd still call it Tex-Mex and not mean it in a derogatory manner. The prices are high for this type of food but not out of line with restaurants in the Dr. Phillips area. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone seeking good Tex-Mex food in Florida."
Dined on 4/25/2013
A little more expensive than it
should be for tacos."
Dined on 4/18/2013
We all enjoyed our entrees! And
the made at the table guacamole is excellent!"
Dined on 4/7/2013
Cantina Laredo is a favorite of
ours for mexican food. They always do a great job!"
