  • "What I love most about this restaurant is I feel as though I'm in Mexico eating authentic Mexican Food! I took my father-in-law, who DOES NOT like Mexican food, and he thought it was GREAT! I think that speaks for itself! I would recommend this restuarant to anyone that truly appreciates good food!"

  • "The Tampico is always delicious, but the new crab meat enchiladas are amazing!"

  • "My third visit - I have now tried the Carne Asada, Carnitas and Tacos de Barbacoa - all excellent! The guacamole appetizer is amazing. I am looking forward to my next visit. It will be hard to try something different knowing how good those dishes are :) Even the chips and salsa that they bring to your table as you sit down are special and very well done."

  • "I'm not quite sure why the "hostess" at Cantina Laredo placed us in the enclosed porch area of the restaurant - it was very cold and truly ruined a good meal. There were plenty of tables in the main part of the restaurant when we arrived and even when we left. A few others were placed in this "room" after we had been there a while, but all had winter coats on. There was a fireplace in that area but it wasn't on. Although, we could view the working fireplace inside the main part of the restaurant, there was certainly no heat reaching us. They should only use that area after it has been completely heated and all other tables in the main dining area are full."

  • "Whenever I go to Columbus, I make sure that I go to Cantina Laredo. I am admittedly a food snob and my trips are somewhat planned around where to eat. The food at Cantina Laredo is great tasting, upscale Mexican. Not your " run of the mill, tastes like every other Mexican restaurant" restaurant. Price is on par with Abuelos but the food is much superior. I used to like Abuelo's but now find it lacking after experiencing Cantina Laredo. They offer several gluten free options for those of us that require it. If you are looking for the best Mexican food in this area do yourself a favor and go to Cantina Laredo"

  • "I have been there twice this month since 'discovering' the place. Had the Carne Asada the first night, and Carnitas the second visit. Both excellent, flavorful and delicious. The drinks were done well, and service was very good. It's a bit noisy, but well worth it. I can't wait to go again!"

  • "Nice servers but, they could never remember to bring back what we requested. Even though we requested items several times, chips, salsa, and drink refills. These are all items a good server should be on top of. Funny thing, the restaurant wasn't even busy and we had reservations (a week 1/2 in advance)."

  • "My boyfriend and I really like Cantina Laredo. When his parents came into town this past weekend for his mom's birthday we thought they would enjoy going there for a nice meal. We arrived 10 min early for our reserv and we're told we would be seated as soon as a table was ready. We watched as they seated party after party before us. We were finally seated 25 min later. Our server lacked attentiveness to our needs. We had to search her down to get drink refills, chip refills, some food was missing when it came out. When we asked her for something it would still be another 5 min before she came back with it. We were seated in the bar, which wasn't conducive for visiting because it was so loud. The food however, was great, tasty as always."

  • "This restaurant had way to many "helpers" bringing out chips and not enough people bringing out essentials like water, soda and extra items needed during the dining experience. We probably had at least five different people ask us if we needed chips which started to become bothersome. ood was really good but there seemed to be no real system for organized service. Even though we were frustrated with the service, we would definitely go back."

  • "Sorry to say the Polaris Cantina Laredo was a bust for us. Maybe because we went on a busy night or because we were stuck in an area adjacent to the main dining area, but it seemed like we were an afterthought. The margaritas were watery - one in our party sent hers back - and the food was not well presented. The chicken on my fajita was dry and there was a only a small dollup of guacamole for the whole dish. There was a tasty salsa for the chips they brought when we were first seated. I hate writing less than positive reviews but we had eaten at a Cantina Laredo in Scottsdale that was amazing so the contrast did not help either."

  • "Like every other restaurant in the US Cantino was jam packed but we didn't have wait more than a second to be seated upon entering thanks to making reservations on open table earlier that day. As a matter of fact we arrived 15 minutes early and were still seated promptly ipkng giving them our name. We had a great time and the ambient noise level is just right to have a conversation and still not be able to hear the next table over. I ordered badly so I can't really rate my meal but my wife loved the Tampico. Table side guacamole and the Mexican Apple pie are amazing!"

  • "We were seated immediately. The guacamole was freshly made at our table. I reached out of my comfort zone to try something new. Enchiladas Veracruz were delectable! Chicken, spinach & Monterey Jack cheese topped with twisted tortilla strips, on a bed of rice and side of roasted zucchini. Incredible! And delicious margaritas. Service was wonderful. Ready to go back already!"

  • "Went here during restaurant week and was blown away by the quality of the food. A bit more pricey and smaller portions than most mexican joints, but you can taste the difference in the quality."

  • "Fresh Food! We went for Restaurant Week and were not disappointed. The guacamole was freshly made...avocado, tomato, fresh cilantro and lime...delicious. The cheese enchilada had the thinnest tortilla wrapper I have ever seen and the cheese filling was mild and firm...spiced up with a touch of mole sauce, shredded cheese and cilantro on the top. The "accessories" on the food items were just a enough to give them a bit of a kick without overpowering the flavors! Very nice. We will definitely be going back to try some of the regular menu items."

  • "I think the restaurant was not properly staffed for restaurant week making our service pretty slow. Any time i have been outside of restaurant week the service has been fine."

  • "Our table was ready when we arrived, even though we were early, the guacamole was delicious, and there was no problem splitting checks! A great birthday celebration for my friend!"

  • "So disapointed in the food. I thought it was priced higher than most Mexican restaurants and the quality was not there.....It was not crowded when we were in and the service was lacking as well."

  • "There for an early New Year's Eve dinner: food was quite good; waiter was knowledgeable and very pleasant; and overall experience was very good. Interior design is a strong suite here. Not the old Cantina Laredo I grew up w/ in Dallas as a kid (which I loved)."

  • "Dinner on New Years eve was so much fun thanks to the excellent staff at Cantina Laredo. Reservations for a party of 4 were made but we ended up with 5. Our hostess, Brittany, was beyond helpful and made sure we had a decent table to accommodate all 5 of us. Our server, Jenny, was spectacular. On a super busy night, she not only gave us stellar srvice, she kept a sense of humor and such a vivacious personality, I wanted to invite her to the party we were having. Such great food and the NYE dinner special was an amazing deal. Each margarita was filled to the rim and paired perfectly with each part of the meal. I would go back an NYE again to kick off the night."

  • "It was just our family but Cantina was a great spot by the mall for an early dinner. Our server was great and dealt with two spills by the kids with a smile."

  • "You will pay more than your average Mexicain Resturant but this is not a typical Mexicain resturant. The resturant itself is more upscale, you'll find selections you can't find anywhere else. I enjoyed the special New Year's Eve menu where they offered unique dishes in a 3 course meal and $5 delicious Margarittas. It took us 2 hours to eat our meal on New Year's Eve and even though the place was packed we were not rushed and did not feel like they had to get us out of there to turn the table."

  • "The customer service was excellent, along with the food. Their staff will go above and beyond to assure your dining experiences are at it's peak."

  • "Had a group of 8 on a Monday night, so not a busy night by any means. We arrived at 7 and had to continually flag down the waiter to get drinks. We were hoping to have a nice adult night out with drinks and conversation, but were rushed out the door by poor service. Food was really good, but I think our waiter had a hot date and didn't want to wait tables that night. Would like to go back considering as a group we dropped over $400 and the food was good, but really didn't feel like our business was appreciated."

  • "There was nothing special about this restaurant, other than the price. You pay double the price for tacos and quesadillas that you would pay at your local Mexican restaurant. It was nice to try a new place, but overall, I was disappointed."

  • "Really enjoyed the food and ambience of this restaurant. Highly recommend!"

  • "This would not be my first choice for a Mexican Restaurant. The salsa was warm, and the food had little flavor. More chips were not brought until after we were nearly finished with them, drink refills we had to ask for, and the waitress stopped one time to ask if the food was okay, after we were nearly finished. The atmosphere was dim, and TVs played sports. A glass was dropped and broke while we were there, and the bussers were busy talking during at least half of our dinner. I could hear their conversation clearly most of the time."

  • "We certainly enjoyed the food...it was very good. The menu is not large and a bit pricey but everyone enjoyed their meal. It was well worth the special occasion and I'm glad we chose to try something new. Considering the place was nowhere close to capacity our server was rather inattentive and when asked to make a small change to a menu item to accomodate a particular taste preference was dismissive and unaccommodating. This led to a different menu choice that was quite delicious nonetheless. If you have a preference for Mexican food and are looking for a meal a cut above the standard fare this will be worth time."
