The steak was good, cooked just right, but it was just a steak. The accompaniments of wasabi mashed potatoes, mushrooms and vidalia onions, made for a very good dish. I've been several times for brunch and a couple times for dinner. It is also child friendly for a nice restaurant. At brunch you often see babies in their carriers or highchairs. Definitely get the sticky buns and scones at brunch! The fish dishes here (at brunch and dinner) are some of the best I've ever had (and I've eaten at The Optimist, which is also outstanding). The cocktails are also very good and the wine list substantial. Oh, and definitely save room for the Chocolate Grotto for dessert. I made reservations through OpenTable easily via my iPhone app. Parking looked difficult, but the restaurant has complimentary valet. I think it's a good sign when the parking lot is full, even on a Thursday night. We were immediately seated and the waiter was given a heads up regarding our dual birthday. The recommendations for the appetizers, main courses, and drinks were spot on. I had the smoked salmon and the short ribs - both were among the best I've had, ever. Great view outside; next time I'll come back early to enjoy the patio and have a drink at the outdoors river bar. Service was fast and our server Matt explained everything on the menu thoroughly enough that even a non-foodie could understand what they were getting. We enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer and my wife ordered the Rabbit and I had the Monk fish. All were excellent. We finished the night with the chocolate grotto which was also quite delicious. The best part of the whole thing was being able to stroll down to the water and relax with a glass of wine while the river flowed by. From the wine, to the delicious bread selection to the entree and then
a special B-Day dessert. The server was attenttitive but not overbearing. We sat inside but has a beautiful view of the river and
garden. Perfect spot for lunch or dinner or just drinks outside.
My favorite restaurant all-round in ATL!!! We are in the restaurant business and love going out to different places to try the food.
I am also a gourmet cook therefore enjoy trying other chefs preparations of food.

My group started off with oysters which we all enjoyed. Entrees ordered were short ribs, the NY strip and the rabbit which is the chef's signature dish. We were all pleased with our meals. The major wins...
1) Service - Our waiter Evan was fantastic. Honestly, it might be the best service we have ever experienced. We will definitely want to ask for him the next time we go back.
2) Food - We tried two apps (the warm spinach salad and mussels) and one entree (rainbow trout) and everything was excellent. The only criticism I would provide is that I would probably choose different side items for the trout.
