Everything about our experience at Canoe was outstanding: the ambience, the server, the food, the pace of our meal, the view. We had a fairly early reservation which meant that we had a prime seat at the corner of the room....two huge glass windows providing a wonderful view of the river and surrounding property. The server was friendly and helpful, and we all enjoyed our meal immensely.

Food wasn't that great. The waiter had a large party in his serving section and we got ignored, even though we had gone their to celebrate our parents 37th wedding anniversary. Bad idea to go for any special occasions. You won't feel important.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary this past weekend. We had a memorable experience at Canoe. Our waiter, Josh, greeted us by name! I was stunned. He provided us with great service and menu recommendations. It was our first time there and we will definitely return. Next time, for brunch!

This was mine and my partners first time at canoe. I'm a very very picky eater and the food there was absolutely amazing. There is something for everyone and there is a wine list to die for. I was so amazed at the atmosphere and the staff was incredible. Each one of them would stop what they were doing to ask how you were, even if they were holding a heavy tray or three. I loved this restaurant. Everyone should try it.

It was my husbands birthday and it was a wonderful night. The 2 appetizers (oysters and then the beets) fantastic. My husband had the rabbit and I had the halibut cheeks and both dishes were very well prepared. For dessert we had a chocolate dish to die for. We brought our own wine and the corkage fee was $15. Overal experience: fantastic!!!

I had made a reservation on line and followed up with tow phone calls... I wanted a table outside the first row of tables... and requested a special birthday treat... I was told no problem ... WE did not get a table in the first row even though there was a table empty... and did not get the desert I ordered... I did not want to make a big deal about it ... this was a special birthday for a dear friend... we drove up from the south side of town just to go to Canoe.... The food was great but disappointed in the table as it did not matter what time we had come to make this happen and the desert I had asked for did not happen either,,,,,,

The valet was prompt. They tend to try and reserve the direct view tables even when requested in your advanced reservation. Seated quickly. Lovely table. Even the waiters/waitresses who are not yours are very polite and willing to help your experience. My husbands steak was ordered well done and it came out medium. He ate what he could and left the remainder. His kale was overly chewy. My rabbit was very good but my fuzzy navel cocktail was weak. Overall still pretty nice minus the food issues. But again after paying such steep prices I do expect everything to be on point. I informed the waitress but she just kinda shrugged it off.

Other than the incredible view, the food was 3/5. Nothing spectacular. The calamari had a Thai twist to it which was different. The shrimp pasta wasn't impressive. The pork was good but the potatoes with it wasn't a match.

Very nice hostesses. Very nice but very nervous waiter. Excellent salads, wonderful beet salad, long waits for salad clearing and for entrée clearing. One entrée very light on shrimp! Took a super long time for desserts to arrive, but they were wonderful. Very nice touch with the "happy birthday" on the honorees plate. Had to ask for water twice and I don't even drink very much water at meals; seems a basic. View was extremely nice! Lovely patio/garden/river views.

For my last work dinner, we choose to go to Canoe and the staff was excellent in making sure we had a great time. Some of our party arrived right at the time of the reservation, and when they saw the beautiful view down by the river, we asked if we could push back the reservation for a bit so we could chat and enjoy the view. The Canoe staff was accommodating! The dinner itself was excellent with many great choices on the menu. Everyone went home happy.

My husband and I went to Canoe for the first time on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. We had a great table with a view of the outdoor garden right on the Chattahoochee River. Our server was great! She made several really good recommendations. The food did not disappoint. We started with the zucchini pecan bread, which was warm and wonderful. My husband had the Fried Green Tomato, Smoked Carolina Trout salad with Avocado and a poached egg. He loved it! I had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Spinach and Spaghetti Squash Salad with Citrus Pecan Vinaigrette. It was wonderful! For dessert we had the Mixed Berry Crisp with Lavender Vanilla ice cream. This was possibly the best dessert I have ever had! We will be back!

Have not been back to Canoe since the flood a few years ago. The covered patio is very nice and so hold out for the table outside. Get there early to have a drink at the river bar while waiting for your table. It is relaxing and you forget that you are in the heart of Atlanta. Service at Canoe is just amazing. From our server, Victoria, to the manager that stopped by the table they wanted to make sure everyone at the table was completely happy. Save room for a desert as they are all good! We had three of them. Great place for a special occasion and if you have been in awhile go back.

We love Canoe! Given that we live in Vinings, it's a treat to go to a restaurant that's close to home. The restaurant is a beautiful one and being on the river, it's a lovely view! We shared the House Smoked Salmon On A Crispy Potato Cake and it was delicious! We both had fish and it was good, but we did not think it was as good as we've had in the past. Not as plentiful portions or as moist!! They were packed that night with a rehearsal dinner, so I am guessing the kitchen was slammed!! Canoe has made a name as on the best best dining experiences in Atlanta and it usually is fantasist! They were a little off their game, but we will be back!!

The food was excellent. Service was impeccable. The location and its setting are beautiful. My only negative is that the dining room was so loud that conversation was difficult. However, the restaurant was absolutely packed and we were seated near a large boisterous party, so that's understandable. Our overall experience was outstanding. In particular, the quality of the food in such a high volume restaurant was amazing.

The location was nice, the service was scripted (wasn't in the mood for the long drawn out explanations of everything, would have preferred more of a more peronal experience or Q&A session since I had already researched the menu). I had the chicken and my date had the rabbit! The chicken was so fatty and greasy I barely touched it. The mushroom and rice was a notch up from rice a roni at best. The rabbit portion was tapas sized. I can't complain about the smoked salmon appetizer, because I'm generally not a fan. All of that, 2 glasses of wine and a $120 check later, I have to give Canoe a two thumbs down! Seen a lot of good reviews, not sure if I missed something, but don't think I can drag myself back there again
