I highly recommend Cannons..5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNicely surprisedI was a little afraid when we were seated, not by the spectacular view, but buy the clumped together butter pats, silverware that had something lodged between the fork tines and a water glass that had a foreign object stuck to the inside of the glass. The dirtry silverware and glass were apologised for and wisked away. We both had the Mahi Mahi, it was good but slightly dry. The decor is a little dated. Wow, the view was spectacular! The restaurant was ready for our group and accommodated every request(high chair, window table)

Our server, Karri, was extremely pleasant & knowledgable & I felt that it really mattered to her that we had a good experience. The food was amazing, the drinks delicious, dessert was divine! The harbor view is World Class.

Just about everywhere in the restaurant has a view of the Ocean from Dana Point Harbor out to the Pacific. The food I had was unbelievable! I really enjoyed the Sea Bass, the way it was grilled was perfect...the flavor was perfect; it was moist yet not under cooked.
The location is excellent for folks living in So Orange County, it's nice to be able to find a decent restaurant...anywhere in this area that's not super-pricey.
Parking is adequate for the number of seats in the building...so you won't be looking for a spot for 30 minutes like you would in Laguna Beach (nor will you end up walking another 30).
I would love to see better beer choices (an IPA or two would be ni3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMthe Manager gave us the requestedthe Manager gave us the requested view table; arriving prior to sunset gave a wonderful chance to enjoy our wine as the sun fell below the ocean. Our waitress was understanding and work with us knowing the group was all out of state "East Coast" folks that enjoyed seeing a West Coast sunset.
Food was very good from Steak to seafood!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Food & Incredible View!We had a wonderful, relaxing, quiet dinner with a spectacular view. (Try to get a window table!!!) Our waitress was wonderful and answered all of our questions about the food and the wine. We were delighted to have a delicious dinner without the usual annoying loud noise from the bar or other tables. My coconut shrimp were fabulous! My husband had the Chilean Sea Bass and he raved about it. He also had the yummy clam chowder.
