Canela Bistro Bar5 STARS ALL AROUND!!!Reggie the Manager was super friendly. He sat us in a great spot. The waitress who served us was extremely helpful and bubbly.
The ambience was pretty and the overall experience was great!!! Food was absolutely delicious without a doubt.

The Gambas (garlic shrimp) was made with some unusual (to me) spices and came with a couple of pieces of bread to soak up the mouthwatering broth it rested in. The Flatbread was nice and thin but had a crispness underneath the cheese and toppings. The salad was wonderfully fresh and light with a well-seasoned vinaigrette. Also had the Lamb Riblets, and debated between that and the lamb kabobs (tapas), and it was good. The meat was very tender and nicely-flavored, fell off the bones.

I really like that most dishes can be order in tapas and entree sizes, which give you a lot of choices of sharing or devouring a dish alone. Their flatbreads are divine. I love trying a new Spanish wine each time I visit, and I have loved them all.
The restaurant already has a very inviting atmosphere, but they are upgrading the interior a bit in coming months. The food is outstanding with plates designed to share and larger plates for those who want to hoard the yumminess. There is a wide variety including salads, soups, fish and meats so it can accomodate omnivors and carnivours. The food is always so tasty, and Mat is always introducing new items as well as being attune to seasonal produce etc that he incorporates into dishes. All the staff are sooo friendly, they feel like family.

The menu changes subtly according to season, but we have never had a mediocre dish. Here's a place where you can try everything. (Plenty of vegetarian options.) The wines are carefully chosen and reasonably priced. I advised the restaurant that it was our 25th anniversary when I made the reservations. To our surprise we were congratulated by most of the staff starting with the Host as soon as we arrived.
It was very nice. All the staff made us feel so good and welcomed. We were treated with Champagne and then when the time to order came up all the suggestiions paid off , we had a great meal.
The Tapas are excellent specially the Coca bread (kind of a thin crust pizza but with a great consistency between soft and crunchy)
We picked the Chorizo and cheese, it was excellent and so tasty ! The Gambas, Croquetas, Papas Bravas, Tortilla Espanola, tres leches pudding and churros!
