Campo - Reno is a Rustic Neighborhood Restaurant. We have relaxed but attentive service. We change the menu daily. We serve local and organic foods. We serve Naples style Pizza, we cure our own salami and make all our pasta in house. Our beverage program is as fresh and seasonal as our menu. We have a fun and affordable wine menu and by the glass program. Campo runs many promotions, so please check our website www.camporeno.com to see what may be going on right now. Our patio is right on the Truckee River in downtown Reno. We bake all our breads in the wood oven and the 2 open kitchens are the focal point of the restaurant.   • "We went for our 27th Anniversary. I read a bunch of reviews on Yelp and decided that's where we were going. Man, am I glad we did! We did the Chefs Tasting Menu and it was an outstanding meal by far. Well worth the hefty bill. They also had given us a card for our Anniversary which was signed by everyone working that day! We had pig every which way possible and it was amazing! Definitely recommend this place and we will be back. We hear the pizza is to die for."

The service was so good, they probably would have made us a new one of we asked."

  • "Where to start… You might as well rename the restaurant Compost because the food and the service we're garbage. Halibut over cooked/dry, pasta dish swimming in 3 inches of oil, sausage had a bottle of cinnamon & nutmeg dumped inside, bottom of pizza was mush. Waitress fotgot our drinks & we didn't see her for over 20 min. Good thing there is a pub next door where we could go get our own drinks at half the cost."

Service was exceptional... our server happily described each dish, being fully versed in the entire menu. Great appetizers...we shared the Burrata and the Cauliflower. Wines are also very reasonable with good options. Our 13-year old's love Campo and we will certainly return."

  • "If you are visiting Reno and avoiding the gaming scene, this is a great spot. The Truckee River is beautiful and there are only a few spots to eat on the river. Campo has a great rustic italian menu and great drinks. You can eat outside on the patio overlooking the river or inside. We had a lot of small plates instead of entrees. We loved the warm olives, roated cauliflower, and shisito peppers."

  • "Before having dinner at Campo for the first time, I was really hoping I'd enjoy it. I read mix reviews prior and was slightly worried. I am 100% behind their farm-to-table, support local farms mission. The food proves that it is a worthy cause. So many people are not aware of their food source, a troubling problem. Campo sets the standard for what restaurants should do. We had a variety of dishes, all proving to be quite delicious. I've heard from some friends they think its too fancy but I thought it was perfect."

The Kale salad, which I had been telling everyone about and even trying to replicate at home was my first choice. Unfortunately, the poached egg was cooked thru and the crispy parmesan crumbles were notably scarce. It's the creamy egg combined with the crunchy salty cheese that makes that salad pop. My entree of herb gnocchi had far too much heavy sauce to appreciate the delicate pasta. The Tomato Basil bread soup was not visually appealing as it looked like a heaved up bowl stewed tomatoes and was far too acidic. I think my choices were bad and maybe the kitchen was a little off. I will go again, but my expectations will be adjusted"

  • "Upon entering Campo, we were warmly greeted by the host, making us feel welcome. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with explaining the menu and drinks. She made wonderful recommendations making it hard for us to choose only a select few items. We started off with a couple of recommended cocktails that were light and refreshing. Then we managed to narrow it down to the Fitto Misto (fried calamari and veggies), Risotto of the day, and the Halibut special. O.M.G. It was the most flavorful, amazing and delicious food. To the point where I was tempted to lick the plate clean but I refrained! Everyone we encountered were genuinely kind and friendly. The experience was amazing and I can't wait to come back!"

Asked for outdoor and was told that was a different list that COULD NOT BE DONE THROUGH OPEN TABLE. Another list and a hour's wait if we wanted. Passed. Seated and it took 20 minutes for drinks and an hour to get the food. Not coming back."

  • "We made a reservation for a Saturday night and really hoped to get a seat outside, since reservations do not cover outside seating and the wait was 45 minutes, we were seated in the dinning room in a dark booth by a cramped walkway that the servers used and the bathrooms. I feel that since I made a reservation I would have a great seat in the dining room that at least had a view of the outside not a small dark cramped booth with nothing to look at but a wall. We brought some out of town guests and this was their only impression of the restaurant. Our server was great helpful and cheerful the food really good but the seating just really dampened the mood. Next time we come I would wait for the outside seating and not make a reservation!"

  • "This was our second visit to Campo and despite remembering good food and a vibrant atmosphere the first time, we cannot say the same. The noise level was distracting and the food (perhaps what we ordered) was disappointing. Campo is in a great spot along the river in Reno and had an active bar scene, so if that is what you are looking for, it is the place. However, we came for a late dinner after attending a local event and it was not the place for that."

  • "Incredible as usual. The first time I ate at Campo the salted caramel budino had me at the salted. I have since discovered a recipe that is the bomb. Rave, rave, rave reviews every time I serve it. I had the spinach ricotta. I thought it was a tad over-sauced but the flavor! Service was a little slow---it was a kitchen issue (isn't it always). Our wait person was fabulous. Maybe the bus boy was a little over zealous asking for my plate and I wasn't finished."
