We return every year and are never disappointed. Excellent food, outstanding service even though the servers are rarely the same (speaks volumes for great management and training), and just an all-around great place to dine. We had the veal and the salmon and both were outstanding. And the Grana e carciofi salad ( arugula, artichoke, shaved Parmesan cheese, and white balsamic) was to die for! Go there for great food and to be treated like old friends. You won't regret it.

We were very disappointed with the food and service. The spinach salad and calamari were good. Sacallopini and veal chop - just ok. Clam pasta & sea bass ravioli fine. Service poor. We got out wine after dinner.

Campo de Fiori is my favorite place to get a Italian food in Vail. We always have a delicious meal here. We got the bruschetta for an appetizer and it was excellent. I got the gazpacho soup which was a special the night we were there. Best I've ever had! We will always return to eat here. Love this place.

  • Overpriced and just OK

Pretty atmosphere, but a little casual given the food prices. We had a wonderful bottle of wine which was suggested by our server. Everything sort of fell apart after that. The burrata appetizer was bland, and our salad was topped with overcooked shrimp. My gnocchi was ok, but just ok, not to-die-for. My husband ordered the special, veal scallopini. In his words, "this tastes like something off a cafeteria tray." His mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant, and his spinach was sauteed with absolutely no seasoning - not even salt and pepper. He barely touched his food, but our server didn't ask, and didn't notice, that anything was wrong. It's a shame that a pricey Vail restaurant can get away with producing food of this quality.

Forgot how great a place this way when they were in Denver until about 5 years ago. Food was exceptional---a broth based minestrone unlike any other, and superior pasta. Todd was a great server, providing just the right amount of attention to our table.

We dined here in July. Seated on the patio overlooking the Vail village and the mountains. Thought it might be all about the location, but the food was equally excellent. A cool watermelon soup to begin with great seasonings. The risotto was spot on with a creamy texture and fresh variety of mushrooms. Service was attentive but not overly so. Great dining experience!

We ate here several weeks ago and gave it 5 stars. Nothing changed. The Gazpacho was great, caprese salad great, pappardelle sausage great. Service a bit on the slow side considering it wasn't that crowded since we there early. All in all another great meal.

Food is impeccable. Wine is exceptional. Service & decor need work. Our meal came after 20 min yet still before our appetizer and the tables are squished so tight that I had to sit on my hat and carry my purse on my lap through the whole meal because they were knocked off the corner of my chair when I hung them there.

I had dined here at the "first seating" 6pm with a great meal and ambience. It was a different experience when we arrived for our 8pm reservation and waited for a half an hour to be seated at the same time as many tables. The waiter was brusk taking our order and eventually relaxed when a number of earlier tables exited.

We stay in Vail at least 4 weeks every year and would never consider missing dining at Campo de Fiori. Judging from how packed the place always is, there are a lot of others who feel the same way. In our group we enjoyed spinach salad with caramelized onions & toasted pine nuts, and classic Caesar salad with anchovies. Pasta with vodka sauce, osso bucco, pasta with roasted vegetables and their famous grilled marinated seafood salad appetizer (way enough for a main course after enjoying a salad first). Do not miss this grilled seafood... it is fabulous. I've never had anything elsewhere that even comes close.

Great for a couple or group. Love their pasta dishes...that extra notch up in quality/flavor! Try: butternut squash ravioli, mushroom ravioli, sausage and mushroom parpardelle. I want to go back...but I'm not in Vail anymore :( Delicious salads also!! Next time, I'm trying entrees - I'm betting this chef puts out great flavors across the board. This spot is a bit loud..not for those with hearing issues. Good for kids...vibrant atmosphere and what kids doesn't like pasta? Our server - Nina - was informative, professional, timely, and made me want to smile. Excellent. The wines by the glass lean towards Italian for obvious reasons - I would have appreciated some more California choices as Italian "classics" aren't my favorites.

We last dinned at Campo in March. It was somewhat disappointing then. However, it appears to have gotten its edge back. The ravioli funghi was very good along with the pazza salad. The seafood linguine was very good as well. Campo is still a go to place for high quality italian food in Vail.
