Campo 185Mother's Day brunchWe went at the end of brunch time and enjoyed a quieter meal. Excellent food and service, as well as a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I felt special and my family all enjoyed their meal as much as I did.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMCampo Pizzeria - an awesome gemCampo Pizzeria is an awesome new restaurant on the western end of University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto and it has a great selection of food not just pizza although the pizza is awesome. We brought a half dozen of our friends there for a 'picnic' after a long hike and surprised them with the gourmet foods available on the menu. The food and ambience was incredible and everyone had the time of their life. Great new chef Robert Holt came out and greeted us at our table. The mozzarella dishes, the three different pizzas we ordered from a selection of about a dozen, the octopus, salumi platter . . and the deserts . . the best sorbets I have ever tasted anywhere in my whole life and then topped off with the bombolini!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMMy second visit. This time,My second visit. This time, I had the brussels sprouts caesar salad, which was superb. Just enough dressing, and the sprouts were nice and tender. My friend's pepperoni pizza was also delicious, and we both enjoyed the minestrone on such a cold day. I do think the beans in the soup would benefit from more cooking to make them creamier, however.2/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy first visit to this newMy first visit to this new restaurant since it was Lavanda. As a dedicated pizza aficionado, I was extremely happy with my brussels sprouts and bacon pie. The crust was crisp, yet also tender and chewy. It had just the right amount of topping so that it was flavorful without flopping over. I'm eager to try more of their pizzas, as well as their brussels sprouts salad. I was here for lunch, and since I devoured the entire 10" pizza, I didn't have room for anything else. Next time!!1/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
