A word from Caminito Argentinian Grill
Caminito – A colorful, picturesque street located in the neighborhood of La Boca, Buenos Aires, Argentina. A neighborhood built up by new immigrants, mostly from Italy (particularly from Genoa) and Spain, but also from Greece, Yugoslavia, and Turkey.

They brought with them their culinary experiences, which we present to you to savor a bit of South American cuisine. A blend of Spanish and Italian cuisine with a distinct Porteño (name for natives of Buenos Aires) flare. Argentines not only have a penchant for pasta, but also a love affair with asado (traditional Sunday family barbecue of different cuts of beef).

We hope you enjoy your South American experience at Caminito Argentinian Grill.

I felt bad that the waitress had to even serve us this food. Nothing about it was good. I would have preferred some frozen dinner like Lean Cuisine or something. And the only reason why the noise level was so low was because we were the only couple in the entire restaurant.

Not as good as I had hoped. Chosen because of its proximity to theatres.

This was my second visit and like the first, the service was terrible. They need to hire another server. I saw 3 couples come in to the restaurant and then leave because no one was there to greet them. It appears that there are only 2 people who work there which is not enough for the amount of tables they offer. I ordered the milanesa suprema and the beef was so tough that I had to spit it out, the empandas were tasty and so was the salad but main entrees were not good.

It's hard to say what is going on at Caminito. Despite their good reviews on Yelp/OpenTable, we found the place empty, menu trimmed down to a few of the many dishes posted online and their staff, while helpful, was absent from the front of house most of the time. The music stopped often and with very few diners, the room was silent most of that time. The Sangria was made with only the finest of $2 Chuck. The food was average at best. Their empanadas are good, but stay away from the thinly sliced and easily overcooked Ojo de Bife or hardly seasoned and extremely bland chicken. Aside from our friendly waitress, there was nothing that would make me come back. It seemed to be in "transition" into something. Let's hope that happens soon.

  • I'm not sure why this place

I'm not sure why this place wasn't packed! It's a bit difficult to locate (it's in a basement) but the food is excellent. Food is very flavorful and the ham and cheese empanadas were just as I remember having them in Argentina. We went on a Wednesday night and they had $5 martinis - can't go wrong there.

  • Ok but service was too slow..

I know argentinian meat needs time in order to be cooked to the right point, but the service was way too slow. The portions are generous and tasty - not great, but good - and the waiters are kind but we waited literally 35 minutes for our appetizers (!)

  • I decided to try this place

I decided to try this place out and really loved it. I went on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. I am not sure if it is always this way or if I just had a fluke night. Food was excellent, portions were big and the prices were very reasonable. I recommend trying it. It's unfortunate because I really can't figure out why the place isn't more popular

I felt I was dining in Buenos aires. Great food and ambience. The empanadas were great. I brought my own wine from Argentina and they have a 10 buck cork service. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant is AMAZING! It's small, quiet and fit for foodies. The prices and portions were generous, and the service was spot on. I will definitely return to this restaurant and recommend it, too.

The food was fabulous! One of the best Salmon dishes I've had. I do miss the fact that it was B.Y.O.B. at one time. Sorry they changed that.

Sadly, the food was not great. The salad and provoleta were adequate, but the steaks were really tough to cut and chew. We were the only people in the restaurant. Nice server, okay Malbec, but not going back.
