A word from Cambridge Mill
With its glass walls, open air terrace, and views of the river and falls, the dining room opens itself to the local landscape. Seen from the outside, the Mill’s Solarium wraps the building to overlook the river while providing an outstanding example of architectural harmony.
Enter the Mill and you step back in time and forward into pleasure. Open hearted and welcoming, upon entry your first glimpse might be of our kitchen staff at work on our Earth to Table cuisine. Everywhere you’ll find limestone walls, hand-carved beams, antiques, and the kind comfort that comes from cozy fireplace nooks, intimate drinking coves, and friendly, courteous service.
To complement all this, there are seasonal menus to impress even the most sophisticated palate. Outstanding food, inviting ambience, memorable service, for any celebration, Cambridge Mill more than welcomes, it warmly embraces.

From the beautiful stone building, to the rushing water outside, to the wonderful food and drink, you will be enchanted by Cambridge Mill. Our group of four sat at the bar where the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The wine choices are solid. Moving into the elegant dining area, we were pleased with the menu selections and the water views. Food was excellent and we weren't rushed. Pricing was reasonable for a restaurant of this calibre.

Have been there for Sunday brunch close to 10 times. Last Sunday was a bit disappointing. Oysters were not good as usual, dessert table worse than before (pecan pie usually very good was not fresh) and I ordered a cappuccino which was served cold.

Overall the atmosphere was amazing and the view was spectacular. The food was as good as I expected-I felt I could make the same at home for much less, and didn't go back for seconds. Could have been too early for such rich food. But the staff are friendly and we enjoyed ourselves

I'm not sure if it was just exceptionally busy, but we waited 40 minutes for our drinks and to order our food. After that, things seemed to flow a little bit smoother, but that wait at the start was WAY too long to be acceptable.

Took my wife here for her birthday. At first it looked a little daunting due to the size of the crowd outside of the restaurant. Turns out they had 3 weddings going on however it didn't affect the service in the main restaurant. While the menu is unimaginative it still had something for everyone from pizza to steak. The view of the Grand River was nice and our server attended to our every need. This can be a nice place for a nightcap as the bar area is sleek and modern or a Sunday brunch. Unlike the Ancaster Mill, this restaurant was upscale without being pretentious. I would definitely return.

The atmosphere and view are superb beyond description, the food highly overrated. Two of three different types of steak dinners not prepared to specifications as described in menu. All were less than tender and nowhere worth the prices charged. Service good, presentation good, corrections attempted, but nothing could be done about the quality even when cooked to specs. We had a lovely evening, but would not recommend eating there based on expectation of exemplary culinary skills. The best value might be to order a pizza and enjoy the view and ambiance.

Dinner was amazing. Did not like the calzone but everything else was beyond good. Parking was difficult and we weren't overly impressed with the children running up and down. I realize they were probably with the wedding party but we paid good money to get a babysitter and have a meal with out kids My suggestion would be to have a no kids area?

Upon driving up to Cambridge Mill, it looks like an elegant, fancy restaurant. We made reservations but when we stepped in, the hostess asked us to wait for 10 minutes. This was not a big deal, but other couples that arrived after us were seated before us. When we were finally seated, we were delightfully surprised with the view of the river. I ordered the Molly Ringwald cocktail which was delicious and we both ordered steaks (tenderloin and sirloin). Both of these were cooked nicely (med-rare) but were still tough. I've had steaks at many other restaurants but this one was lack-luster. My tenderloin was lacking seasoning but my boyfriend's steak was flavourful. Overall, it was a nice date night, but we won't be returning any time soon.

We have been to The Mill several times for dinner and brunch before, but we went this time for a special occasion. I noted this in the reservation I made n Open Table and the server mentioned the occasion when he first came to the table. The special for the evening was fantastic (lamb shank) and the rest of the meals at the table were enjoyed as well (steaks were all cooked to perfection and the cauliflower risotto is delicious!). At the end of dinner, the server brought us champagne to celebrate - an unexpected, much appreciated, surprise!

It was a beautiful sunny fall day, and the Mill opened the windows so we could enjoy the outdoors while having our lunch. We could hear the ducks playing and the water running in the sparkling river down below... spectacular. That, combined with perfect food made it for a perfect lunch.

We are frequent diners at the Cambridge Mill, but our most recent visit was to celebrate my parents 65th birthday. We were a group of 12 so we were seated in a private room which worked out wonderfully as we had kids 6 and under as part of our group. Service was very good and attentive. Although they were very busy and that we were tucked away in the room two servers made sure that our drink orders were taken care of and plates cleaned off the table after we were done and ready to head back for more. The brunch is amazing! For the money you pay and the variety and quality of the food it is a great value! Great choices from prime rib to oysters and crab legs. Desserts were fantastic! Homemade ice cream - yum! Brunch here is a must!

Food was fantastic with great selection and loved that they had unlimited mimosas too. Favorites were the prime rib (melt in your mouth good) and the homemade perogies. Theonly down side was the price-a little too expensive to have other than special occasions. Overall, I would definitely recommend this brunch to anyone looking for a special treat. Enjoy!

We had a pleasurable experience, but the potential was there for so much more. The food was very good, but two food substitutions (errors?) were made. Our server was polite but not attentive. Water glasses were always filled, but he did not offer us an opportunity for more wine. The mussels were delightful. The ribs were the highlight of the table. That bbq sauce was to die for! The chicken breast and salmon dishes were excellent. The pasta dish was good but lacked seasoning (punch). The pizza's are good, but I wish I'd ordered the ribs. Deserts were nice. Cheers.

We really enjoyed our brunch, the different food stations that were cook to order were delicious. There was a really nice selection of seafood but not too much in the way of salads. Quality
    Dined on 9/12/2014
After an average meal, we ordered 2 pots of tea. We got tap water with tea bags. We tried to locate the server but could not find her. She finally appeared as our guests were done with their drinks. She explained the situation as it was due to a machine defect and she proposed to change the tea with boiling water from another machine on a different level. She then brought 2 new pots with only Luke warm water with tea bags. When we complained for the second time she asked us if we ever tried loose tea as it was special. We felt disrespected as we could not find a link between the cold water in the pots and the type of tea bags. Our experience could have been better if they had checked the quality before serving.

Our waitress was extremely pleasant, efficient, and accommodating - while remaining unobtrusive when needed. Unfortunately, I do not know her name, but wish to highly recommend her: the one with the unusual hairstyle (short on one side). [not the best way to describe someone!] My warm mushroom salad with salmon was outstanding! And my companion loved the mussels and salmon cakes. This place is a distance for each of us - but definitely worth the drive!

Sometimes return visits to the same restaurant can be disappointing if the experience is less than the previous time. Not so with the Cambridge Mill. The food, the service, the ambiance, and the staff all combine to make the experience a memorable one. When you order an item and ask it be cooked or served to personal preference and the restaurant delivers the request 'bang on', it clearly demonstrates their desire and ability to provide attention to detail. The quality and taste of the chosen menu items left us commenting to each other most of the way home. Well Done Cambridge Mill! One of our favourite restaurants for sure and highly recommended.

When I confirmed our reservation (party of 2) there was no one else waiting, I was told tables were being cleared and it would be a few minutes. In the meantime several parties of varying sizes all with male in the party were seated. After approximately 15 minutes my daughter told the (now 2) hostess thst we had beenbypassed and nothing was still done until what appeared to be a senior hostess took us to the dining room to watch the busboy clean a table. We stood in the middle of the room until the hostess said she could do it faster and cleaned the table herself. No apology or token drink or whatever was offered to compensate for the wait nor did she check back with us to make sure we were ok. And people wonder why women are bad tippers.

We were a party of three. Sat near a window, which was great. Service was exceptionally slow and often forgot things. He didn't actually bring out our food or say goodbye to us at the end. Appetizers and drinks took forever to arrive at the table (an hour) even though it was only olives and salad. One of the main dishes was so overcooked (seared tuna), we had to send it back. Pizza was okay. Dessert was very good (chocolate pate). Overall the scenery was good but the food is overpriced for what it is. This is a "fancy" restaurant with a great-looking menu that turns into mediocre food.
