A word from Cambridge Mill
With its glass walls, open air terrace, and views of the river and falls, the dining room opens itself to the local landscape. Seen from the outside, the Mill’s Solarium wraps the building to overlook the river while providing an outstanding example of architectural harmony.
Enter the Mill and you step back in time and forward into pleasure. Open hearted and welcoming, upon entry your first glimpse might be of our kitchen staff at work on our Earth to Table cuisine. Everywhere you’ll find limestone walls, hand-carved beams, antiques, and the kind comfort that comes from cozy fireplace nooks, intimate drinking coves, and friendly, courteous service.
To complement all this, there are seasonal menus to impress even the most sophisticated palate. Outstanding food, inviting ambience, memorable service, for any celebration, Cambridge Mill more than welcomes, it warmly embraces.

What a great discovery. We used the Mill as a dinner destination after a Stratford matinee. We were very impressed with the design/ambiance/food and service. The view over the Grand a River is spectacular. There is an amazing attention to detail all round at The Cambridge Mill. We will be back for sure and we are spreading the word to our Toronto/Oakville friends.

I brought my wife to the mill for our wedding anniversary and I have heard very good things about the mill. But we ordered and for one the server was very slow and didn't check on us then when it came to the food it was bland and my pizza was not solid the dough was soggy on the bottom but I just ate it because I didn't see my server until it was desert so we paid and left. Would rather the keg.

Service was a bit slow, but we were early (5:30) My steak was mediocre; partners lamb was excellent ! Mentioned steak. Was a spec. birthday dinner for my wife (we are from Hamilton) - the free dessert was a good gesture - RB.

A table overlooking the Grand River, excellent service and a glass of Chardonnay... what could be better? A beautifully presented Waldorf salad, followed by a juicy turkey dinner with all the trimmings and baked-in-house crumble top apple pie for dessert. Yes, this was a different Thanksgiving Dinner for my husband and I, but a tradition I would highly recommend. No long hours of preparation. No slaving over a hot stove. No dishes to clean up, and no leftovers to deal with. The meal was absolutely delicious - everything cooked to perfection, and the plate presentation was a feast for your eyes. A smooth cup of Cappuccino ended the perfect meal followed by a short stroll along the pathway past the wedding chapel to our car. Excellent!

Our visit to Cambridge Mill was our first time being there, opening greeting was polite and punctual also asking if we would perfer a window seat which turned out to be a very good suggestion , the server seated my wife and myself to the window seat , server preceded to tell us the format of the Mill so we wasted no time to begin , Eggs Benedict being my first choice tray empty, went to the crepes bar and ordered there good choice, having finished that and some fresh fruit dashed off to get my eggs Benedict for the second time , empty again ,gave up and moved to the prime rib which was cooked perfect for my liking, added some salmon later and desserts and I was full to the brim ,

Good selection of food including unlimited mimosas and caesars. Request a seat in the dining room otherwise you are in the area where the food stations are set up and the flow of people back and forth is busy. Our server Nicole was very attentive, with drinks and silverware etc. It is pricey for brunch but well worth it for the variety and quality of food and drinks. Nice scenic view if you are seated by the window.

A definite must try for anyone who has not experienced The Cambridge Mill ! <3

Our very first visit to Cambridge Mill and we found it outstanding. It is a destination location but well worth the drive and time. The beautiful old structure has been maintained and the new addition compliments the original. The service was amazing and the food excellent. The view overlooking the river was great. We will visit often.

This was our first time at Cambridge Mill and we were blown away. Everything from the delectable appetizers and entrées, great service, and ambience, all enhanced by the large picture windows and natural light made our experience outstanding. The view of the Grand River is gorgeous. I highly recommend window-side seating. The lunch menu was full of tasty options; it was hard to choose. We had potato, leek and bacon soup; Philly Cheese Steak sandwich; artisan pizza; Cobb Salad -- every morsel was delicious and the plating was spot-on. While dining, we learned about the brunches that Cambridge Mill puts on. We now can't wait to experience one -- soon! It's been a while since I've been able to say it: this restaurant exceeded my expectations!

From the beautiful stone building, to the rushing water outside, to the wonderful food and drink, you will be enchanted by Cambridge Mill. Our group of four sat at the bar where the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The wine choices are solid. Moving into the elegant dining area, we were pleased with the menu selections and the water views. Food was excellent and we weren't rushed. Pricing was reasonable for a restaurant of this calibre.

Took my wife here for her birthday. At first it looked a little daunting due to the size of the crowd outside of the restaurant. Turns out they had 3 weddings going on however it didn't affect the service in the main restaurant. While the menu is unimaginative it still had something for everyone from pizza to steak. The view of the Grand River was nice and our server attended to our every need. This can be a nice place for a nightcap as the bar area is sleek and modern or a Sunday brunch. Unlike the Ancaster Mill, this restaurant was upscale without being pretentious. I would definitely return.

The atmosphere and view are superb beyond description, the food highly overrated. Two of three different types of steak dinners not prepared to specifications as described in menu. All were less than tender and nowhere worth the prices charged. Service good, presentation good, corrections attempted, but nothing could be done about the quality even when cooked to specs. We had a lovely evening, but would not recommend eating there based on expectation of exemplary culinary skills. The best value might be to order a pizza and enjoy the view and ambiance.

I realize they were probably with the wedding party but we paid good money to get a babysitter and have a meal with out kids My suggestion would be to have a no kids area?

Upon driving up to Cambridge Mill, it looks like an elegant, fancy restaurant. We made reservations but when we stepped in, the hostess asked us to wait for 10 minutes. This was not a big deal, but other couples that arrived after us were seated before us. When we were finally seated, we were delightfully surprised with the view of the river. I ordered the Molly Ringwald cocktail which was delicious and we both ordered steaks (tenderloin and sirloin). Both of these were cooked nicely (med-rare) but were still tough. I've had steaks at many other restaurants but this one was lack-luster. My tenderloin was lacking seasoning but my boyfriend's steak was flavourful. Overall, it was a nice date night, but we won't be returning any time soon.

We have been to The Mill several times for dinner and brunch before, but we went this time for a special occasion. I noted this in the reservation I made n Open Table and the server mentioned the occasion when he first came to the table. The special for the evening was fantastic (lamb shank) and the rest of the meals at the table were enjoyed as well (steaks were all cooked to perfection and the cauliflower risotto is delicious!). At the end of dinner, the server brought us champagne to celebrate - an unexpected, much appreciated, surprise!

It was a beautiful sunny fall day, and the Mill opened the windows so we could enjoy the outdoors while having our lunch. We could hear the ducks playing and the water running in the sparkling river down below... spectacular. That, combined with perfect food made it for a perfect lunch.

We are frequent diners at the Cambridge Mill, but our most recent visit was to celebrate my parents 65th birthday. We were a group of 12 so we were seated in a private room which worked out wonderfully as we had kids 6 and under as part of our group. Service was very good and attentive. Although they were very busy and that we were tucked away in the room two servers made sure that our drink orders were taken care of and plates cleaned off the table after we were done and ready to head back for more. The brunch is amazing! For the money you pay and the variety and quality of the food it is a great value! Great choices from prime rib to oysters and crab legs. Desserts were fantastic! Homemade ice cream - yum! Brunch here is a must!

Food was fantastic with great selection and loved that they had unlimited mimosas too. Favorites were the prime rib (melt in your mouth good) and the homemade perogies. We had a pleasurable experience, but the potential was there for so much more. The food was very good, but two food substitutions (errors?) were made. Our server was polite but not attentive. Water glasses were always filled, but he did not offer us an opportunity for more wine. The mussels were delightful. The ribs were the highlight of the table. That bbq sauce was to die for! The chicken breast and salmon dishes were excellent. The pasta dish was good but lacked seasoning (punch). The pizza's are good, but I wish I'd ordered the ribs. Deserts were nice. Cheers.
