We had a wonderful Venizon's, probably the best we have ever had, not gamey at all, in fact all of the food was outstanding, down to the Guava Cheesecake at the end. The service was very efficient as always, you can never go wrong with this neighborhood gem.

This is a great restaurant that has great food every time you dine there. The waiters are extremely professional, greet you with a welcoming smile, and take care of your needs. Most importantly, the owner is there to make sure that your experience is an unforgettable one. My husband and I make it a point to dine there every time we have a chance. We have taken our family there and have NEVER been disappointed. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I like going here on weekends with friends that live in the neighborhood. It’s convenient to get to, parking is hassle free and restaurant takes reservations. The food is consistently good and there is a variety to choose from. The staff is always friendly and accommodating no matter how busy it gets. The portions are plentiful, we usually share an appetizer and then get a separate dish. They always have specials if you are in the mood for something else other than Italian, they will have it. Desserts are good, try the guava pastry with vanilla ice cream, delicious!.

This restaurant is in a strip center not ten minutes from my house. Can't believe I never went there until recently, when a friend found it on line. It's more than a step above red checked tablecloth Italian but not as fancy as, say, Café Abracci. The menu is varied and interesting with lots of specials. Good wine list and even the house wine was good. Three of us ate for about $100, which included appetizers and wine but no desserts. So it's not an every night kind of place, but doesn't require a special occasion to justify it, either. We will certainly be back.

A nice place for families. Accommodating, and easily situated. Food was above average. Service was quirky, but solid. Our kids' meals were brought out quick. But remaining entrees came in a staggered manner. We were not used to that, and it through us off a bit. In fairness, we had a first seating, and were the first ones in for dinner. By 6: 30, the restaurant seemed to find its groove, and was filing fast. So our experience may not be typical. That said, we enjoyed ourselves and would consider going back.

Cafe Portofino has it all. We were a group of 8 ranging from 6 years old to 70. Service was caring and intelligent, but not hovering or obsequious. Every dish has a delightful little surprise that makes it special. The art work on the walls is worth looking at. The ambiance is peaceful, unhurried and elegant without being stuffy. We love it.

It was my third time here and i absolutely loved it, as always. I had the pre-fixed valentine's day dinner for $49.95. They had some new dishes in that menu so i wanted to try it before it got away. For appetizer it was a risotto/beef/cheese ball, it was amazing. Entree, short ribs with sweet plantain risotto, and dessert.....OMG dessert! Dulce de leche red velvet lava cake...it was heavenly :). The wine awesome as always and the complimentary bruchetta welcomed as always.

Entrees;lasagna and lobster ravioli both very yummy even though the ravioli got a little too rich after a while. The tiramisu was good but not my favorite. From the unseasoned Lobster Ravioli to the bland Ossobuco served with wilted vegetables in a clear, unsubstantial stock the restaurant disappointed. We expected so much more given the reviews. Even the coffee tasted like it came from the rinse cycle of the espresso machine. We hoped for a neighborhood gem and found an overpriced, pretentious failure. Save your money.

Thought the ambience was good. The service was excellent. There was plenty of attention here. They had plenty of great deserts to choose from. Our Calamari apetizer was not that good. The main meal was a special and turned out to be $3.00 more than what the waiter told us it would cost. For a $31.00 plate there was a small amount of food. Main meal and desert were very good. Enjoyed dinner but feel like there are other places for that price that enjoy the food more and gives you more for your money. 2 glasses of wine, one entre, one desert, and one appetizer cost $65.

The smallish restaurant on South Dixie is truely a great restaurant in every sense and definition; from calling in and confirming the reservation to assisting with directions, they went far and beyond what we expected. The ambiance is warm and sophisticated, the service is proffessional and friendly and the food is at par or above with any of it's Coral Gables peers. My wife and I enjoyed the experience and, inspite of a 20 mile trek, we both agreed that we will return.
