Caffe PinguiniOne of our fav restaurants..One of our fav restaurants.. cllose to LAX, we usually dine there before taking off or landing in LA. I love its Fettuccine al Radicchio and the Insalata di Carciofi. They often have the Burrata as a special, which is to die for.

Excellent food, great service - lots of servers and bus boys. Even the valet parking were in restaurant uniform. Living in downtown manhattan beach, it is easy to just walk to a good restaurant. Three of us met for a business lunch and all got the grilled fish special -- one salmon, two sea bass. The fish was cooked to perfection with a delicious, crisp outside, and a juicy, just-done interior. The vegetables and roasted potatoes were amazing as well. This restaurant is A Favorite!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMnever been to Caffe Pinguininever been to Caffe Pinguini before although i live closeby. i think it's because they don't have a bar, only wine. i thought the food was wonderful. pastas were cooked perfectly al dente with lots of flavor. love the bread - kind of like pizza dough. salads were perfectly dressed. seafood (clams, mussels, shrimp) were fresh and very sweet. we loved everything. service was attentive but not intrusive. i would definitely go back but maybe for lunch since there isn't a bar.2/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
