Caffe MacaroniGreat real Italian foodTeensy cafe with small menu of authentic and very delicious Italian food. I'm picky about my meatballs and loved these. I adored the waiter --if the place didn't have so much street noise it would be a great outdoor find. Great food, though. Best Italian in North beach.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMCaffe Macaroni is the Vatican in SFAlways great food, terrific service. I always leave wanting NOTHING.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA North Beach GemI've been coming to Cafe Macaroni for years. A colleague who works in the neighborhood introduced me to it. The food is the most authentic Southern Italian cuisine in the city. There is an emphasis on fresh seafood. The service is friendly and fast, the wine is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. This is really a gem that far outshines some of the glitzier places in North Beach.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFull of character-Quaint North BchI met a friend for dinner at Caffe Macaroni and we both totally enjoyed the dinner. The space is small - but full of character. It was a great way to enjoy North Beach Italian food without being too touristy. I had a pappardelle bolognese, which was yummy. My favorite part was the very attentive waiters. They made the dinner fun. My only complait (which might be part of the ambiance) was a wobbly table.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMScrumptious food, cozy butScrumptious food, cozy but pleasnt interior with sevseral sidewalk tables, gracious service; they turned down sound track music when requested (all your favirites from 1966!). Great food and experience!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMCaffe Macaroni is a small,Caffe Macaroni is a small, very friendly, neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. We had a great time and will go back again.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHole-in-the-Wall Gem!Pasta, seafood, meat (goat!) Was outstanding. Very small restaurant but owner and staff were very accommodating. Very enjoyable evening for our group of 6.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe needed a last minute reservationWe needed a last minute reservation on Saturday night in San Francisco and totally hit a home run with this wonderful little Italian restaurant in North Beach. The food was so flavorful. The burrata with roasted peppers and capers melted in your mouth. The penne Amatriciana was excellent as was the special pasta with octopus. The pizza at our neighbors table also looked great. The owner and the staff are very attentive without being overbearing. The place is tiny so you will be eating very closely to the table next to you, but because of our friendly neighbors it made the experience that much better!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were smitten! We were completely charmed by this tiny wonderful restaurant. We felt like we were eating in the dining room of a busy Italian household. The food was fantastic. They made items not on the menue for some in our party. The charming waiter was attentive by not over bearing. We will make this a destination everytime we come back to SF. Fantastic!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLittle Italy in North BeachWhat a wonderful little restaurant in North Beach. Small...very small! The owner greets you and sits you in "his kitchen" almost as if it's his home. We had our children with us this trip and he made them "spaghetti and meatball", which was not on the menu, saying it in his thick Sicilian accent! Everyone was from Italy. Food good, ambiance good, service good...cannot go wrong with this little place.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great meal, servedWe had a great meal, served with personal service, everything was cooked to order and delicious. It did feel like we were in Italy!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
