Ambiance were not very good... the pictures on the web site are deceiving. Wine was very expensive at 13 to 14 dollars per glass. Food portions were very small and were not of very high quality. Would not recommend.

Found this place on Open Table mobile and it was right around the corner from my hotel. My table was not available when I arrived but they were quick to fix me a drink at the bar while I waited. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was very good. I started with a grilled octopus app, followed it with their black linguine with shrimp and lobster, accompanied by an Italian Verdicchio which was very good as well. I finished off the meal with their tartufo which was excellent.

This was our first visit to Caffe Linda and perhaps my expectations were too high having read other reviews of the restaurant. The employees were very friendly and the service was great, but the food that we tried was mediocre. The chicken piccata that two of us tordered was tough and not flavorable, the seafood pasta dish was good, but not great, as was the spagetti with meat sauce. The desserts were good as well.

I never have a problem finding something delicious to eat at this neighborhood gem. I wish there were more restaurants like it in midtown. I love the variety of foods offered and the delicious preparation and service. I love the intimacy and overall feel of this charming restaurant. I always feel as if I am in a town other than bustling, crazy NYC when I come here. It is a lovely refuge with delicious, expertly prepared. My guests and I are always satisfied.

Caffé Linda is a cute little restaurant with great food. I had the Black Linguine and it was fabulous. Two other people in my party had the lasagna and the both said it was very good. Prices I thought were very reasonable and would recommend anyone who is New York City to check it out. It is small so make sure you have a reservation.

Dinner at Caffe Linda was such a treat -- although it was just around the corner from our hotel, it felt like we traveled to Italy for the evening. The restaurant is small and relaxed which made for a nice atmosphere. And the food was really satisfying. My husband and I had the black linguine with lobster and shrimp and were amazed at the amount of seafood for the price. The pasta was home-made and DECLICIOUS. I also was very happy with my red wine -- and the Maitre D (owner?) was delightful. We really enjoyed our dinner experience at Caffe Linda and would recommend it highly.

This restaurant is a gem just a few blocks from the Waldorf. The service was attentive and timely. The owner stopped several times to check on how my meal was proceeding - he was very warm and friendly. The food was the best part. I had a wonderful beet salad and a delicious chicken Milanese as the main course. The tiramisu was light and delicious. Il ristorante era meraviglioso! I recommend it highly!

We found this little place while wandering near our hotel and it reminded us of the many neighborhood restaurants we loved in Italy. We were not disappointed. The server was both attentive and informed, gladly accommodating a slight variation to one of their dishes. The price was very reasonable too. Our dinner was most enjoyable.

I already love Italian restos and this one was wonderful. seated in the back area so it was nice and private but outdoor dining would have been awesome also. Black linguini: Slightly too spicy for my taste but I suppose we could have sub'd it with alfredo sauce. Lobster was ok but still a good value. Ensalada Linda was an amazing salad - I love the bite size, perfect salad by itself. We had added chicken to it which was fried and tough but again, I supposed we could have asked for the side of chicken to be backed. The owner or manager was super enthusiastic and awesome but one of the waiters spoke very little and didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Maybe he was just super overwhelmed or tired. Service was fast & appreciated.

This is a very compact restaurant attached to a small Best Western hotel. Nothing too inventive on the menu -- mostly standard pasta dishes -- but the offerings are well-prepared and delicious. Portion sizes are just right. Tables are small and close together, and at peak lunch hour you have to strain to hear your dining companion. Service is friendly and non-intrusive. All around, a good experience.

this is the second time I've dined there, the third for my sister-and we love, love the food and atmosphere. However, they only ever have one server for the entire dining room (at least when we've been there) and it is simply not enough. We ended up ordering at the same time as the entire dining room as well-I think due to the fact that the server was stretched so thin-and so waited for almost an hour for our food. The server was lovely and doing her best, they just need more staff there as they seem to always be busy!

When I dined here, it was quiet and calm. The server was prompt and friendly. I ordered the caprese salad, branzino appetizer, broccoli rabe side dish, and finished with the tiramisu. All just fine and well prepared! The branzino was especially delicious, not overly salty and with just the right amount of grilled charred flavor. If I'm back in Midtown for work, I'll be back for a quick lunch or dinner.
