  • "If you ever want to go to a restaurant that is always awesome and consistent in the quality of food and service, this is the place."

  • "Found on OpenTable, just around the corner from our hotel, excellent food, no delay, great atmosphere. Well worth a visit when in Midtown Manhattan."

  • "I went with some co-workers on a weekday night. Very enjoyable time and everyone raved about the lasagna. Everything was perfect except we wish there was a more extensive appetizer selection."

  • "I have walked by this charming restaurant for years. I am so glad that I decided to finally indulge with relatives from out of town. The food was excellent, served with perfect timing and the portions were perfect. The space is adorable, aside from the fact that we sat very closely to four very disruptive. loud and large women who obviously thought that making a spectacle of oneself is what one obviously does when they are in "the big city." I will know now to request a more intimate part of this charming restaurant when I drop by again."

Consigliato!"

  • "Authentic Italian food at a fair price - European ambience - cozy. Grrat find in a area predisposed to chains, delis and overpriced expense account places."

  • "The restaurant was extremely hot. We rolled up our sleeves, asked them to turn the heat down and they did not do anything. The service was slow. The Caesar salad was bland, butThe pasta was very good. We got our bill and they hot us for a 20%, yes 20% gratuity since we had 5 people. I ordered two bottles of wine and we had expensive dishes and the service was less than stellar. I refused to pay the 20%. They brought me a menu where it states in really small print that parties of 5 or more they add a gratuity (they do not have a percentage). I refused to pay it and he did remove it. I left 15% which was generous considering the service level. A hearty tip with two bottles of wine on the bill. This restaurant experience was disappointing."

  • "During our NYC trip, this restaurant was literally around the corner from our hotel. We chose it as my Italian Mom is named Linda and we thought it apropos that this little Italian restaurant was named Caffe Linda. The wait staff was kind and although small, everyone was comfortable. Food was GREAT. I'm glad we came here."

  • "We had an excellent meal at Cafe Linda being there with the family this week. We had 3 appetizers and 4 main courses and all were tasty and well prepared. The wine list had many reasonably priced and food freindly choices. The service was friendly and attentive with an excellent neighborhood feel."

  • "Every time i come to NYC i make sure that one of my dinners is at Caffe Linda. Great owner, servers, drinks, and incredible food. Recommend it to anyone who has not been. The pasta sauces are next level."

  • "The appetizers were superb. We had the calamari and the eggplant Napoleon. Then onto the entrees- fettucibi pesto with pine nuts and string beans! Yum! The co-diner had the pasta with link sauce and sausage which was so fab. We finished off with taftufk andsttrd. The entire visit was superb. We'll be back!"

  • "A very pleasant meal (dinner), the food was certainly respectable, but the service was on the inattentive side. We got what we needed, but the waiter was quite cursory and didn't seem too interested in us or our experience. I would go back (hard to find casual, reasonably priced restaurants near Grand Central) but would not rave about the place."

  • "This is a better than OK resto, with good service. Not a place to go out of your way to, but, if you are near and want a pleasant place for lunch, then go for it."

  • "While on a business trip to NYC, I was looking for an Italian restaurant near my hotel and found Caffe Linda and what a find! Intimate dining room with nice atmosphere. The complementary bruschetta and bread with olive oil was a welcome treat with a glass of wine while I perused the menu. I had veal scallopine, which was wonderful! It was so good that I went back the next night for the fettucini with pesto and string beans, also delicious."

  • "Pasta dishes were good, but I would not consider $19 pasta dish as a lunch special. But I guess that's midtown prices."

  • "I feel that it's hard to find intimate & quiet restaurants in Midtown east, and this place is a gem. My friend and I met for a chit-chat dinner and I was pleasantly surprised to see how cozy and warm this little place was. I believe it was the owner that was also serving as host, and he was quite attentive and personable. The food was awesome; gnocchi in bolognese & the tartufo were portioned well and to die for."

The waitress and manager were so attentive, and the ambiance was just right, the wife and will definitely go back next time we are in NY."

  • "Caffe Linda is a delightful little restaurant in Midtown, slightly away from the hustle and bustle, and serves up great italian food. We picked it mainly for its proximity to our hotel, but, were very pleased with the service, the food, and the overall pleasant experience we had. Our meal started with the beef carpaccio and a red beet salad. For our entrees we had the home-made gnocchi and veal saltimbocca which was a special of the day. 2 glasses of wine, sparling water, coffee and tiramisu brought the bill to a reasonable total of about $110. Would definitely return to Caffe Linda."

  • "I found this restaurant to be an excellent value. Very reasonable prices for NYC. Not the fanciest but the food quality was excellent, service was very attentive and they were very kid friendly. Took friends from out of town and they loved it. Top quality pasta!"

  • "We waited 20+ minutes past our reservation time without any explanation or apology whatsoever. I would never ask for anything more than a simple "sorry," but the staff couldn't even muster that. I've never seen a staff less concerned with their guests' experience than the people working here. There are too many great restaurants in New York to ever return to Caffe Linda."

  • "My wife and I stayed in Manhattan for the weekend, staying next door to the hotel at the Best Western, so it was easy to decide to reserve at Caffe Linda for an early dinner prior to going to our comedy show. The food was great, the service very good, and it was typical of a Manhattan Italian restaurant, lots of tables fairly close together with an "energetic" noise level. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone eating in the area, and I would definitely go back there if my travels bring me that way again."
