Very Cool atmosphere, very open and industrial looking Our server Bill was outstanding and The food is comfort food on a upscale basis. Not overly pricy either. Our Menu choices were the Mac and Cheese (small plate ) which was really Yummy (my Daughter even ordered and extra one to go.) I had the Shrimp Scampi. Which was flavorful and very filling. My Daughter ordered the Short ribs which were outstanding ( a definite do again) when we get to return. My other half had the Fish and Chips which he said were good ( they gave him a Plate full). We tried two desserts, the Hot Fudge Sundae (really good Ice cream in it. and The Banana cream pie. It was OK but nothing to brag about). I would try the Chocolate Bombe next time ( It looked really good.) The other nice thing is it is right down the street ( walking distance from the Sacrament Community Theater) so if you are catching a show there this is the place to go. I defiantly looking forward to returning and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nice Dinner in a comfortable atmosphere at reasonable prices.

A friend of mine stopped by to say hello and ordered the trio of fries. When it was served to him, the waitress spilled the entire order all over him including the ranch dressing. She indicated that this happens all the time. The managers may want to consider serving those fries in a more stable manner

The last two times I've been to Cafeteria 15L I've had to shout at my table mates to be heard, and lean in close to hear them or the entire conversation would consist of "huh?" after every sentence. While the rating for this describes the noise level as "energetic," I would say it's obnoxious. Our waitress was fabulous, the food was good, and I was glad to get out of there to enjoy the conversation of my evening companions. Probably won't go there to relax ever again. There's nothing relaxing about feeling deaf and over-stimulated.

Out first visit was outstanding, wonderful, flavorful food, outstanding service. Saturday was our second visit and we raved to our friends about your place. Our waitress was ok, nothing to brag about. Also very disappointed in our meals since my husband and I ordered the same thing as our first visit there. His farmers skillet lacked flavor and his toast and tatir tots were over done. My burger was flavorless unlike the first visit. Maybe you don't serve grass fed beef anymore, too bad. We won't rush back, unfortunatly.

It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. They weren't that busy but we had 3 servers trying to cover our table instead of one attentive person. Such a shame because the food is great. Don't go unless you have plenty of time to waste watching everyone else eat.

I'm so happy Cafeteria 15L expanded their brunch service to Saturday. Great food and service. We went on the earlier side for the brunch crowd (10 am) with my dad and it was so nice to have a more relaxed atmosphere compared to other nearby venues that are covered in TV screens and pushing the all you can drink bloody-mary's or mimosas. Can't wait to go back to try the rest of their menu offerings!

Made reservation with Open Table and that worked GREAT for last Sunday night. Food was good, but service was extremely slow. We got there at 6:00 and with entrees only, it still took 1 1/2 hours! Also only got 1offer to refill on our sodas/tea, AFTER we had paid our bill.

Went here for my mothers birthday. Food was amazing, the waiter was very friendly and nice. My only complaint, the waiter never asked us if we wanted refills on our beverages. By the time I was able to flag him down to order another drink we were already finished with our meal. Just my personal pet peeve when dining out. Other than that he was very friendly, and provided us with excellent food recommendations. He also put a candle in my mom's dessert which was a nice touch.

I've at brunch at Cafeteria 15L two times now. The first time was delicious which was what brought me back this second time. This most recent time the food was mediocre, nothing special. My wife had the spinach omelet and she said it was super greasy and flavorless. I had the chicken and waffles...the waffles were good, the chicken and gravy yuck. Won't be going back for Sunday brunch.

We had made on line reservations the day before and when we arrived our table was waiting for us. Their menu for brunch offers a wide selection of choices and we both found it difficult to make to narrow it down to just what we wanted. Well after much dithering we both decided on the chicken fried steak with 2 over easy eggs on top the steak then smothered in their sausage gravy (you must order an extra cup of the gravy) and one of their home made biscuits along with their home made jams. Rest assured you will go home full and very contented. And ready for a nap.

Eggs Benedict were pretty good but the potatoes were lousy (they always are here--you need to change potato suppliers or, better, make them yourself) but fish 'n chips were coated with a too-thick batter that was greasy. Good Bloody Mary. Server was attentive and courteous. All-in-all a hit and miss experience.

This place is always nice to come when go with a group of 4 or more. Waitress was wonderful and helped us with whatever we needed. The only thing is the Friday night we also went to cafeteria and we weren't too hungry so some of our friends ordered food while other Order some drinks. That current waiter taking our order seemed rude as he explain we all have to buy food at least 15 dollars or he will charge us for the club. That never happen to the past 3 years I came until now. Other than that yesterday's service was great

My husband and I and two boys (age 8 and 10) visited Sacramento and had dinner at Cafeteria 15L one evening. I would not recommend this restaurant for younger, rambunctious children as the place is for a nice night out. The restaurant does not have a children's menu and the menu has an average main course price of about $25. Having said that my kids enjoyed the food and ambiance and so did my husband and I. I had a delicious salmon while my kids enjoyed the wedge salad and grilled pork chop. The service was great and friendly, were not made to feel awkward even though we had brought our kids. The noise volume was loud enough that we could enjoy having a conversation without whispering but not have to yell to be heard. Lovely place!

I have eaten here several times before. The quality of food has good way down. Not only was the food just mediocre but the service was horrible. The lack of service lead us to talk with a manager, not once but twice. The worst part of our lack of service was that the managers didn't even oversee our table's requests for service and help. If I do ever come back I will request a server who isn't as bad as the one we had, but chances are I will not recommend this place nor will I return.

Two of us had lunch; the salmon over creamed corn was excellent. The creamed corn tasted like it had just been taken from the cob; it was excellent; a very fresh flavor. The other of us had the turkey sandwich. If was bland; the foccacia bread overwhelmed the taste of the turkey which was poorly presented. Turkey was a thick stack of slices rolled together as almost a ball. Single layering is more attractive and easier to handle. Wait staff was very good.

Second time for dinner because it's close to theater. Second time had to wait at reception desk for quite some time before they noticed customers had arrived. Lack of attention at front desk...Found the food just average and find it difficult to "highly" recommend. Ordered skirt steak..could not eat the vegetables because of an after taste...believe the oil used to cook was old. Had a friend try them and agreed to my assessment.

My first brunch at Cafeteria 15L was Mother's Day a few years ago. It was crazy busy & I assumed the fair service and lukewarm entree was the result of it being so busy. Fast forward 2 years- I went back & had the Eggs Benedict with bacon. I was amazed that entrees arrived so fast - probably in less than 10 minutes. Now I know why. Once again, the food temperature was far from hot. The potatoes are outstanding but it's clear they pre-poach the eggs. Even the hollandaise sauce was only luke warm. The dish was tasty & had potential, but it would have been much better if it had been cooked when ordered & served piping hot. The place wasn't full and our server was far from attentive. We had to ask for more tea & ask for the check.

Chose this restaurant as a pre theater matinee location and we were not disappointed! Menu includes both breakfast and lunch items - my skillet omelet was very tasty and my friend's salad was excellent. Each was accompanied by "tater tots," which took us back to our childhood. Special cocktails on the menu were very brunch appropriate. Restaurant has an interesting "vibe:" contemporary, but not rushed. As we left the restaurant, it would be a good idea to make a reservation as there were few tables available at 1:15pm.

The food is good, service is alright. I suggest not sitting near the kitchen. At first I thought it would be fun to be able to watch them work, but you see & hear things you don't want to when eating. The female cook decided to talk smack about what myself & friends had ordered! We hadn't sent anything back or had any special requests...she simply just didn't like that we ordered a bunch of small plates. Not professional to talk smack about customers especially when your kitchen is open & 3 ft from the table you're talking about.

I don't like to evaluate a restaurant on one experience unless everything was either extraordinary or awful. We had a mixed experience. My husband's pork chop was well cooked and he ate everything on his plate. My New York steak had a lot of inedible (for me) parts and was under seasoned. The use of the thick bacon pieces in the preparation of my potatoes/peppers made them too greasy for my taste. The bacon was tasty though! The atmosphere is interesting, with mismatched chairs and exposed duct work. Service was good
