Our food was okay. Our table was filthy and the waitress would only wipe half of it and told us she couldn't reach the other half so we had to sit with a half dirty table. Even the half that she did wipe was still filthy. Needless to say we will not be coming back.

We had made on line reservations the day before and when we arrived our table was waiting for us. Their menu for brunch offers a wide selection of choices and we both found it difficult to make to narrow it down to just what we wanted. Well after much dithering we both decided on the chicken fried steak with 2 over easy eggs on top the steak then smothered in their sausage gravy (you must order an extra cup of the gravy) and one of their home made biscuits along with their home made jams. Rest assured you will go home full and very contented. And ready for a nap.

Wonderful time, but the wait staff are overly busy during brunch, and our waitress started out quite rude, but then got into it a little more. Took a long time to place our orders, but once we did, they came out in good timing.

Eggs Benedict were pretty good but the potatoes were lousy (they always are here--you need to change potato suppliers or, better, make them yourself) but fish 'n chips were coated with a too-thick batter that was greasy. Good Bloody Mary. Server was attentive and courteous. All-in-all a hit and miss experience.

This place is always nice to come when go with a group of 4 or more. Waitress was wonderful and helped us with whatever we needed. The only thing is the Friday night we also went to cafeteria and we weren't too hungry so some of our friends ordered food while other Order some drinks. That current waiter taking our order seemed rude as he explain we all have to buy food at least 15 dollars or he will charge us for the club. That never happen to the past 3 years I came until now. Other than that yesterday's service was great

My husband and I and two boys (age 8 and 10) visited Sacramento and had dinner at Cafeteria 15L one evening. I would not recommend this restaurant for younger, rambunctious children as the place is for a nice night out. The restaurant does not have a children's menu and the menu has an average main course price of about $25. Having said that my kids enjoyed the food and ambiance and so did my husband and I. I had a delicious salmon while my kids enjoyed the wedge salad and grilled pork chop. The service was great and friendly, were not made to feel awkward even though we had brought our kids. The noise volume was loud enough that we could enjoy having a conversation without whispering but not have to yell to be heard. Lovely place!

I have eaten here several times before. The quality of food has good way down. Not only was the food just mediocre but the service was horrible. The lack of service lead us to talk with a manager, not once but twice. The worst part of our lack of service was that the managers didn't even oversee our table's requests for service and help. If I do ever come back I will request a server who isn't as bad as the one we had, but chances are I will not recommend this place nor will I return.

Two of us had lunch; the salmon over creamed corn was excellent. The creamed corn tasted like it had just been taken from the cob; it was excellent; a very fresh flavor. The other of us had the turkey sandwich. If was bland; the foccacia bread overwhelmed the taste of the turkey which was poorly presented. Turkey was a thick stack of slices rolled together as almost a ball. Single layering is more attractive and easier to handle. Wait staff was very good.

Second time for dinner because it's close to theater. Second time had to wait at reception desk for quite some time before they noticed customers had arrived. Lack of attention at front desk...Found the food just average and find it difficult to "highly" recommend. Ordered skirt steak..could not eat the vegetables because of an after taste...believe the oil used to cook was old. Had a friend try them and agreed to my assessment.

My first brunch at Cafeteria 15L was Mother's Day a few years ago. It was crazy busy & I assumed the fair service and lukewarm entree was the result of it being so busy. Fast forward 2 years- I went back & had the Eggs Benedict with bacon. I was amazed that entrees arrived so fast - probably in less than 10 minutes. Now I know why. Once again, the food temperature was far from hot. The potatoes are outstanding but it's clear they pre-poach the eggs. Even the hollandaise sauce was only luke warm. The dish was tasty & had potential, but it would have been much better if it had been cooked when ordered & served piping hot. The place wasn't full and our server was far from attentive. We had to ask for more tea & ask for the check.

Chose this restaurant as a pre theater matinee location and we were not disappointed! Menu includes both breakfast and lunch items - my skillet omelet was very tasty and my friend's salad was excellent. Each was accompanied by "tater tots," which took us back to our childhood. Special cocktails on the menu were very brunch appropriate. Restaurant has an interesting "vibe:" contemporary, but not rushed. As we left the restaurant, it would be a good idea to make a reservation as there were few tables available at 1:15pm.

The food is good, service is alright. I suggest not sitting near the kitchen. At first I thought it would be fun to be able to watch them work, but you see & hear things you don't want to when eating. The female cook decided to talk smack about what myself & friends had ordered! We hadn't sent anything back or had any special requests...she simply just didn't like that we ordered a bunch of small plates. Not professional to talk smack about customers especially when your kitchen is open & 3 ft from the table you're talking about.

I don't like to evaluate a restaurant on one experience unless everything was either extraordinary or awful. We had a mixed experience. My husband's pork chop was well cooked and he ate everything on his plate. My New York steak had a lot of inedible (for me) parts and was under seasoned. The use of the thick bacon pieces in the preparation of my potatoes/peppers made them too greasy for my taste. The bacon was tasty though! The atmosphere is interesting, with mismatched chairs and exposed duct work. Service was good

Close to Community Center Theater and Music Circus. Easy parking plus valet. Fish & Chips and Cobb salad we both excellent. The food arrived so quickly we finished earlier then expected and had time for drinks in the courtyard garden afterward. The decor is eclectic or odd, not sure which, but pleasant. We want to go back for weekend brunch and then visit Capitol Park, which is right across the street.

This was my first time going for brunch and it was fantastic! We had a large party and the online reservations made it super convenient to plan for. The menu was diverse and pleased the meat-eaters and veggies. The bottomless mimosas were extremely generous -- we stayed for hours and they never stopped coming by with refills (we literally turned them away, when does that happen?). Love the outdoor patio and ambience. Can't wait to go back again -- am even having my wedding reception here!

I've had dinner at Cafeteria 15L a number of times and the service and food have always been great. This time I arranged for my men's group to have dinner and drinks (10 of us attended) there. For some reason the service was slow at the beginning. As I waited at the table for men to arrive, no one came to ask if I needed anything. Finally, after most of the group arrived, a server came over to take orders. One of the dinners came out about 15 minutes after every else was served, and one dinner was the wrong entree (which was quickly corrected). Would have been nice to have some sort of comp on the bill for the late dinner. I will definitely dine there again and assume it was just an off night.

We were very excited to eat here. The menu looked amazing! Our waiter was possibly the best waiter we have ever had as far as friendliness, attentiveness, etc... The food, however, did not taste as good as the menu made it sound. We all felt that it seemed bought and put together rather than prepared fresh. For example, the sundae, which was highly recommended, was made with bought (high quality) ice cream and bought (not so high quality) fudge sauce. I make much better at home. I do not recommend 15L to anyone who enjoys cooking but to people who just want a decent meal out. When we go out, we want to get something that is better than what we can make.

We stop here a lot on our trips up and down !-5. Great spot to just unwind after a long drive. Have never been disappointed with the food as we are not expecting a 5 star gourmet meal. We come for the causal down home feeling that Cafeteria 15L gives us. Sometimes the service is a little slower but that is only on busy nights(weekends) when it seems that they should have a few more servers. Our server was Megan and she had A LOT of tables to take care of. She came over soon after we were seated and told us she would be right with us and then I saw what she had to do and understood why it took about 10-15 mins for her to come back and take our drink orders. Her wonderful smile and great attitude made us forget about the wait.

The decor is fun, the staff is friendly. The bathroom is fun. Our friends were happy with the salads. We were satisfied with the pork sliders. We also ordered the turkey burger which had too much filler in it. Nothing special about it. The parking is tough. You can park in the lot, but it is way too expensive. We drove around for about 10 min, before finding a place. The food was pricey, salad with no bread is always a turn off for me. So I would say I would go there again but not in the evening. Probably more of a lunch with my friends then out with my husband and friends.
