A word from Cafe Un Deux Trois
Cafe Un Deux Trois has been located in the heart of Times Square since 1977. We opened when the neighborhood was still very rough , and quickly became THE brasserie to stop for dinner and drinks before heading off to Studio 54 and Xenon to dance the night away.
We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night.

We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme.
The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast.
We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

We had reservations for 7:00 for dinner after seeing Cabaret. We arrived a bit early and asked if we could be seated early. We were seated right away. Our waiter was Dimitri and he was by far the best waiter we had throughout our trip. Everything was first class. They sang Happy Birthday to my wife when bringing dessert. I will definitely go back next time i'm in New York

We ate at the restaurant twice in the last five days during our NYC visit. Wonderful. My wife had a Nicose salad, the rabbit special was small but tasty, our guest had the Boeuf Bourguignon. The next visit I had the Calves Liver and my wife had the Lamb Shank with beans....both tasty and wonderful.

I walked past this restaurant so many times. This past Sunday I decided to try it with some friends. We were all glad we did! The food was prepared and presented to perfection and was delicious!! They offer Prix Fixe Brunch, Lunch, and Dinners - with very reasonable prices. Great selections on their menu as well. Our waiter was outstanding. Water was always filled, coffee always filled, and plates always cleared without asking. We definitely will be going back! Thank you Un Deux Trois for a GREAT dinning experience!!

Met a visiting out-of-town couple for breakfast here Sunday, and was very pleased with the experience. To start, I specified on OpenTable that we will have an infant dining with us, and when we arrived the high chair was there. Our guests arrived early, but were seated at the table, which was spacious - as the dining room is nice and open - and had already been served drinks when we sat down. It's hard to describe, the decor of the place might be somewhat dated, but IMHO, adds to its charm. Kind of like the vibe that Balthazar is trying to achieve. The waiter was very attentive and professional and polite. Coffee was good and hot, refills of drinks provided without the need to request it. Food was good, dishes came out in sync. Well done!

What a pleasant surprise! We hadn't been there in quite a while and were so pleased by the service and the food. Couldn't ask for more. Onion Soup was the best we've had in a long while. Such attentive service, and the restaurant was crowded. We'll be back.

Went for brunch before a matinee and it was great - nice choice on menu for price fix brunch or lunch (we had people in our group do both). The place was packed by the time we left - we had an 11:30am reservation - so reservations are probably a must on the weekend. The food was good - no complaints from our foursome - and would go again if seeing a matinee.

I actually made a reservation for brunch, which was completely unnecessary because it was not that crowded. My reservation got me a table in a dark corner, where we were ignored by our waiter. Slow service, incorrect orders, waiters who could not communicate about the menu added up to an unfortunate experience. With so many good restaurants in NYC, why bother.

Have eaten here pre-theatre many times. Always reliable. Now when I have out of town guests it takes a nose dive on food prep and noise level. Servers were attentive and very sweet, perhaps concerned about what was obviously a changed place. Had the shrimp Ceasar with inedible shrimp and soggy chopped lettuce. Nothing ceasar about it. My companions' meals looked dreadful. Felt like I was on restaurant impossible. Noise level so loud as to be painful. Luckily we just laughed it off but privately I was well and truly embarrassed.

Good food and wine at reasonable prices in a cozy (especially at night) french bistro setting. I recommend sitting at a table in the bar area for a more intimate setting and quiet conversation . . . It can get a bit loud in the main part of the restaurant. Food is tasty and service is fast and efficient.

Cute name so we thought we would try it before the play. BOth had escargot which was less than satisfying with a mediocre sauce. My wife's steak was a poor quality meat which can't be fixed on the stove. My beef was also a lower quality. Even the cappuccinos didn't cut it. The bright spot was we did get out of there in plenty of time to make the show.

They understand that you need to get out by 7:30 and they accomplish that with good fresh food prepared quickly, and a menu that has many choices that fit the bill. We both had crepes that were hot and fresh and delicious. The services is professional and friendly. Dinner here was the start to a great evening.

Went with a group of 8 for a pre-theater lunch. Staff was friendly and efficient. Some ordered the fixed price lunch, which was a good value and flavorful. Those who had the onion soup said it was just fair. My Nicoise salad was excellent, with good tuna, fresh salad ingredients and dressing. I also had the escargot, which was delightfully garlicky.

We went there with friends on Friday night for dinner before broadway show. Good that I reserved seats a day before, the restaurant was full. We were seated right in time, service was good and fast. But I was a ltl disappointed with the food. Appetizers that me and my husband had (escargot and pater plate) was not really good. The crepe with spinach, goat chease and mashrooms was good, but telapia fish main dish was nothing special. The chocolate mousse desert was delisiuos though! So for quick dinner before the show it was ok, but if you expect something special as I was looking for from French cafe, it was not.
