A word from Cafe Un Deux Trois
Cafe Un Deux Trois has been located in the heart of Times Square since 1977. We opened when the neighborhood was still very rough , and quickly became THE brasserie to stop for dinner and drinks before heading off to Studio 54 and Xenon to dance the night away.
We were and still are frequented by American and European theater and film actors, as well as politicians, directors, local New Yorkers and tourists from around the world. You will find many a Broadway cast and crew member hanging out after the show on any given night.

We recently had a facelift featuring enormous windows and a new color scheme.
The food while still classic bistro fare has expanded to include a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and an extensive breakfast.
We have also added a selection of savory and sweet crepes to our dining choices.

Cafe Un Deux Trois is a regular go-to for pre-theater dining. It also works for an easy, solid (not spectacular) midtown lunch spot. The $21 prix fixe lunch is a good value.

Chose this place from Open Table suggestions. Great find, plain outside, lively French ambience inside. Chose savory crepes, served with classic green salad in vinaigrette. We were well fed and out in time for our show. Will def go back!

Finding a good spot in the theatre district can be challenging. There are so many mediocre restaurants that cater to the tourist crowd. This restaurant is an old neighborhood standby loved by locals and tourists. Great food- nice variety and one of the few places that is both good and affordable.

The prix fixe is always a bargain, and the service is always attentive. The noise level is, I guess, no worse than many. I'd pay extra for a cone of quiet while I dine and converse.

Our friend enjoyed the prix fixe menu, but we ordered crepes. Mine was the chèvre, spinach and mushroom and his was salmon, sour cream and chives. Both were flavorful, fresh, ample and came with a side salad. Perfect for us! The restaurant was quite noisy as the voices of the diners bounced off the high ceilings, but we were able to carry on a conversation. It was many years ago that we last dined here and we both wondered why the wait. We will be back!

I ordered the tilapia on the prix-fixe pre theater. It was a long wait after the appetizer and when it finally came the dish seemed all dried up like it was sitting too long under the heating lamp on the kitchen counter waiting to be picked up. I could only eat about half of it. Very disappointing.

Cafe Un Deux Trois has a bistro feel and a French-themed menu. I had a vegetable crepe that was very good. The prices were reasonable--$40 for brunch for 2. Construction was going on, so it was rather noisy, but I could still hear what my companion was saying. Service was fine, food was fine. Nothing special but convenient location.

On a recent NYC stay in Times Square, we discovered this restaurant within walking distance from our hotel. They have a nice array of Sunday Brunch items and even a Prix Fixe Brunch for about $22 that includes a Bloody Mary, Mimosa, Glass of Merlot or Chardonnay, or Juice.

We had a very nice time at Cafe Un Deux Trois. The service was quick and efficient (which made us happy as some of the reviews we read suggested that the service was very slow). The food was excellent. The room was noisy which made it difficult for our group of 60+ year olds to hear each other. All in all, a great place for a pre-theater dinner.

However, the experience was a little boring. I was looking forward to a classic NYC lunch yet, sad to say, I was not impressed. Food was ok, service was attentive, ambience was mediocre. The café was larger than expected and felt like a tour bus stop for a large crowd. One positive note, the bread and butter was good. Again, sad to say - we will not return.

We went around 7:30pm after the theatre crowd. Out food came out cold. We had to send it back. They took it back apologetically. Food came back hot but wasn't really very good. I had wild salmon and my daughter had shrimp and my niece had a hamburger. All very average. Would not go back.

Cafe Un Deux Trois is a long standing french Bistro-like restaurant in the middle of the theater district. The food is good, not great and the service at the early dinner hour is geared to get you in and out, as most of the clientele at that hour are headed for shows. The servers are trained to move quickly, the kitchen to get the food out quickly which they do. If you want anything after you get your food, you need to flag down a member of the waitstaff. Our server did not stop walking as he asked how everything was. This is a good solid place to eat before a show, not a great dining experience. They do take reservations. I can't speak for other meals and times of the day. It used to be a quality lunch destination back in the day.

We were celebrating my 10 yr old granddaughters bday in the City! Delish brunch but very small potions! Decent kids menu! A long wait for the food! The only thing was a funky smell when we walked in....I was thinking maybe it was cleaning supplies.... Just not too inviting when u walk thru the door! Otherwise fine!

I took my mom to Cafe Un Deux Trois before seeing Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The pre-theater menu was enticing as was the proximity to the theater. Upon further inspection of the menu we decided the pre-theater meal options were not for us and we ordered a la carte. Since Cafe Un Deux Trois is a French restaurant we decided to have a "traditional" French meal, starting with the Onion Soup, which we both enjoyed. My mom ordered the Mussels and I had the Steak Frites, which I ordered medium. The steak came out too rare and I had to send it back. The same piece of meat returned, but when we asked for a new steak the maitre d' made sure a new steak was served. Overall, a great location for theater goers with average French food.

A delightful French Oasis in Times Square. Wonderful to have a bistro lunch before a theater matinee and reasonably priced considering the quality of the food. Excellent quiche and crisp beer battered fish (tilapia) and frites. My only criticism is that the bathrooms are down 2 steep flights of stairs so not easily accessible to those who have difficulty walking. Not sure if they have a handicapped facility upstairs.

We arrived a little bit after our reservation but there was no drama. Maitre d was very friendly. Had an early theater date (7 o'clock) and the service was very accomodating, providing great suggestions for wine and making sure that we ordered a meal that would not take too long to prepare. Light but filling meal. This restaurant is a safe bet. Service is always consistent, food very good and you don't feel rushed. Excellent spot. So glad it has stood the test of time!!!

The food was good but it took forever for apps to come. We sat down at 6 and ordered soon after...apps did not come until 7 then mains were rushed as well as dessert and coffee. We barely made it out before 8...would not have cared if not for having theater tickets. The prix fixe is an excellent value and extremely tasty. The waitress was also very nice and kept apologizing for the kitchen's slowness.

Me and my mom went to this restaurant this past Saturday for an early lunch before going to see a Broadway show and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The food was delicious. I had the Quiche Lorraine and my mom had the Crepe Classique. We finished off the lunch with coffee and Crepes Suzette. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a casual French restaurant near the theatre district. I am certainly keeping this restaurant on my short list next time I am in the city.

Four of us had dinner here recently on a Saturday night. Nice table, friendly waitress. Ordered Prosecco as an apero but the restaurant did not have any sparkling wines. Two non-drinkers and husband under the weather so only ordered wine by the glass.(3) Food was quite good - started with the pate de campagne and a small Caesar salad. They are skimpy with the cornichons so asked for more on the side to enjoy with the pate. Had mains of Peking Duck Sandwich with french fries, Lamb Burger, Caesar salad and Spaghetti Bolognaise - all very good although the Spaghetti Bolognaise was average. Had desserts of mousse au chocolat, chocolate fondant and sorbet - all very good. Total cost of evening was $216. including tax and tip.

Who says New York is a cold place? Certainly not anyone who has been so warmly welcome and treated like a valued guest at Café Un Deux Trois! Our post-theater dinner on Sunday was superb and the kindness and attention paid by the staff were truly heartwarming. Bravo! as well to the Moules-Frites, and the Crème brûlée. Mostly, the staff was terrific with the kids. What a relief! We'll be sure to come back (with or without the kids).
