A word from Cafe Tu Tu Tango - Orlando
Set in a Spanish Artist's loft, CAFÉ TU TU TANGO evokes a time when artists found inspiration and community in sharing food, drink and philosophy with one another. The bohemian lifestyle fashioned life as a grand celebration, a feast of the senses to be shared and treasured. Together, artists found kinship over meals shared, over drink, music, and conversation.

One of the things that truly makes CAFÉ TU TU TANGO unique is our menu. Not only does our scratch kitchen serve up creative fare that captures exotic flavors from around the world, but we do so with appetizer-style portions that are meant to be shared. Choose an array of dishes for your table, and let the party enjoy them communally. Experience a spectrum of the world's most tantalizing tastes together. Savor both the food and the company. This is what life is all about. Come in and join the party!

Food was fantastic! The service was great. The jalapeno margarita was awesome. The art was very cool. Overall, so much better than any other place on I-drive.....and our visit included many other spots. The surprise belly dancer and tarot reader were fun as well.

Halibut was excellent, but Kung Pao Chicken was too salty and flavor off. Music a bit too loud for comfortable conversation but ambience was fun and inviting. Loved the art throughout and the service was great. I would give it another try.

I'm very glad we ate here and extra pleased with the process of online reservations. We were a group of three and enjoyed the "family style" serving of dishes. It allowed us to have small portions of all the items ordered. Food was awesome, btw. I recommend the shrimp/grits. And I'm in love with their jalapeño margarita. The downside to Tu Tu Tango is the noise. Tolerable at 6:30pm but impossible by 7:30.

  • Fun evening with friends

We were in town for a conference and after looking at what restaurants were nearby our hotel, we selected Cafe Tu Tu Tango. We made a reservation for 8:15 PM as a friend warned us that the wait the night before was about 1 hour. The *only* negative of our evening was the wait, even with the reservation. While we did not get seated for about 40 minutes, the manager and wait staff were extremely apologetic. Upon being seated, the manager immediately came over to our table to apologize and offer us drinks. The rest of the night was great. Delicious tapas that were perfect for sharing, yummy drinks, and a great atmosphere. There were two local artists nearby our table working (all of their art and other pieces from local artists displayed around were available for sale), a woman reading tarot cards at a table nearby, and a belly dancer every hour-ish. The prices were reasonable too. Despite how busy the restaurant was, we never felt rushed. We ended up ordering a few plates at a time. The food came out quickly and the wait staff was very attentive in between. We really enjoyed the fish tacos, steak skewers, and empanadas. Would definitely return.

  • A Fun Time at Tu Tu Tango

As always, Cafe Tu Tu Tango was an extremely popular and busy place. There was a constant flow of people, entertainment and service staff. The sparkling sangria was a hit. All of our small plates were very well prepared and quite tasty. The lone negative was one of our small plate orders required several reminders and follow-ups before it was delivered to our table. Sequence wise, the missing item create a slight gap between orders. Nevertheless, when it did finally arrive, we were able to enjoy it. Overall, the team service was good, given the full house of customers. We enjoyed our dining experience at Cafe Tu Tu Tango.

We love the idea of everything being small plates. The menu had very interesting items and we were able to try many of them. The bar area was closed for a private function during our visit but it didn't effect our dining experience at all. They have artists there creating their work of arts while you dine. You can observe them and you can purchase any of the art you like. It's just really a neat place. We can't wait to go back.

I love coming to cafe tu tu tango whenever I visit the area. This time we had friends with us that had never been there before. They were so impressed and entertained. It truly is one of the highlights every time I have been there. We were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and were picked to dance with the dancers there on Friday night. And kudos to the kitchen. We were sat at the hightop table next to the expo part of the kitchen. I was a little worried when we first sat down that it would be noisy, however I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the kitchen was. Our server was great too! We had a mix up on a pizza we ordered and he got it fixed in a flash! I'm never disappointed when I come there! Thank you!

Of course, it was fun...the name alone implys that, and it was good! There were just two of us with seven tiny dishes, and we shared. There wasn't a mistep in all of it, and the unique sauces made me happy inside and out. I felt adventurous and happy. A new favorite were the yucca fries; a tasty means of delivering every kind of sauce. The constant circling of waiters and waitresses helped with the delivery of well timed food presentation and deliciously vibrant plates. This was a highlight of our trip, and one foodie fun house.

We visited Café Tu Tu on the recommendation of several Orlando natives. The menu was unique with unusual combinations in each course including the drinks. We tried the Sangria Margarita combination which was very good. For food we had the hummus guacamole combination, the pork loin special, Cuban sliders, spicy shrimp and several other items which were all very good. Highly recommended.

I was with a group of 6 ladies on a Saturday night, and we were fairly easily accommodated with a decent table. We were promptly brought waters, and that's where the good experience ended... Our server came around about once every 30 minutes and acted like he was doing us a favor when he did. My food was amazing but all of the other girls said theirs were either salty or tough. When I waved down the manager, I very politely (with a Smile) told him about the slow service and asked for dessert menus for the table, he didn't even APOLOGIZE and brought ONE menu over and walked away. We drove 5 hours to be there, and you single handedly ruined our last dining experience in town. Thanks!

Our server never brought one of our items we ordered, so we mentioned it to her and it arrived as the last item - but we got it for free. The restaurant is noisy, but that is to be expected in a place like that. The belly dancer was good - my boyfriend liked her, which I knew he would :) More of an adult place or place for families with older kids, but there was a little girl at the table next to us who was mesmerized by the belly dancer.

Food was as good if not better than we remembered from a previous visit. It is a large Menu with choices for every type of eater and we love that Cafe Tu Tu Tango serves tapas style portions which is out favorite way to eat. Service started off great but we are not sure what happened mid meal as it seemed forever to order our next plate. We actually asked, "did you forget about us?" Love the red sangria, Tu Tu should train other restaurants the proper way to make sangria.

In Orlando for a convention and we had been out to a bunch of fancy (expensive) places during the week which made the Cafe Tu Tu Tango a very different experience. We were seated promptly and we elected to sit outside because the noise level inside was very loud. The waiter was right at the table of our drink orders and we started ordering our small plates. There was a great selection to chose from and we enjoyed sharing them when they came out. Apparently, Thursday was "roving belly dancer" night so that made things fun too - nice change of pace!

What a cool place. Tapas style dining with an eclectic flare. Artists on site offer their art for sale and it is certainly worth a look. I even was tempted to purchase a few myself. This is a busy place and can be quite loud, so if you are looking for a place to converse with others, bring your megaphone. Service was efficient. The passion fruit sangria was yummy! The hostess was unfriendly, did not greet us, say hello, or even smile once. She was using a paper cutter to slice menus and continued to do so after we gave her our info, while we stood there and awkwardly waited. Food was good, but not great like it has been before. The AC was running too cold, it felt about 60-65 degrees in our little corner. I saw another server, not ours, express visible anger at a bad tip in the middle of the dining room. Overall, still good and we will be back but a refresher course in manners and professionalism would benefit some of the staff.

This place is lots of fun, with an artist working right in the restaurant. Later at night there's live entertainment/performance art. Overall the food is great, but portions are small for somewhat high prices. We did have one big disappointment - our dessert was "home made" yet a cool-whip-type substance was slathered on instead of real whipped cream. Bluck. Service was fantastic - made up a bit for the dessert. We'll go back, but will make sure we get what we expect from such a great venue.

We visit Orlando every 3-5 years or so and always look forward to a dinner or two here. The art as well as the occasional working artist adds a nice twist to dining entertainment. Great cocktails, nice wines (well priced) and outstanding food. Some things should not be missed: The pears (we use it for dessert), any of the flatbreads/pizzas (esp with carmelized onion crust), steak skewers, duck confit salad. Bring an appetite and some imagination and have a nice lingering dinner sharing lots of great things. Wish they'd open one in Chicago!

We arrived early for our reservation but then had to wait 25 past the reservation time for the prior guests to vacate the table for our large group. As soon as we were seated the music was blasted and a belly dancer appeared. This went on for 15 plus minutes. During that time 3 of our group decided that they could not stand the noise level and left! Once that part was over the noise returned to a level that allowed some conversation. The food and service was good but the first part of the experience was not helpful. We were in Orlando for a convention and time networking was lost with the folks abandoning the dinner because of the noise.
