A small, quiet wine bar & restaurant with nice ambiance. And excellent food and service! I had the home made lasagna (one of the best I've had) and my wife had the seafood paella which was excellent. Our server recommended a really good zin that was very reasonably priced. We had tiramisu (what else?) for dessert -- it was surprisingly large and really good. Cafe Torre will be seeing us again!

Love the restaurant, followed them since many years.
ALWAYS great food: love their salads, pasta are really nice (have to try the smoked chicken pasta or the lasagna); the way they do the fish, is as good as what you would experience in Europe (you can "splurge" in the butter sauce). The menu is not overdone, and the team is efficient.

I miss beet carpaccio though.
Appetizer plate and a glass of bubbly is a good option to start with.

We've been going to Cafe Torre for years. It's a small, lovely and refreshingly quiet restaurant. The menu doesn't change all that much, which is fine. The food is down to earth, delicious and you get plenty of it to enjoy. The service is reliable and pleasant and the wine list is varied and carefully chosen. It's located smack in the middle of Silicon Valley, not to far from Apple's headquarters, and although it's tucked in an unlikely strip mall, I'm guessing it's a local favorite because it has been around for a long time.

We went there for lunch and the food and service were excellent. Portions are large and food is fresh and delicious. We had the spaghetti with prawns which were large and generous. Also had the Pasta Torre which was penne pasta with arugula, pine nuts and pancetta, which was very good and rich-tasting. The calamari appetizer was also very good; large portion and hot and fresh, with a light batter.
The only small problem we had was when I checked in, my Open Table reservation was cancelled instead of verified. I had to re-reserve and wait a day or so until the reservation was accepted to receive my credit of points; a bit of a hassle, but all worked out ok.
I would definitely go back and try some other dishes and wine.

Always a hit with us, Cafe Torre came through again on a recent visit. Excellent food (and enough for dinner the next night) and great service. When the restaurant filled up, and our waiter (one of two) got busy, an efficient water and bread deliverer took our order and filled in seamlessly. We weren't overjoyed with the wine we chose, and were offered a replacement, which was not only surprising, but resulted in a better wine and experience.
The menu has changed, but the food remains first-rate. The manager is friendly and graciously accepted edits I offered to make to the menu on an earlier visit. No typos now! :-)

Affordable... service can be a bit spotty, but the squeeky wheel gets the grease.
