Dinner was amazing ... from the
appetizer to the dessert and everything in between. The restaurant had a wonderful wine list and a full bar."

A bit pricey for mediocre food.
The highlight here was the tiramisu."

My best friend takes me to dinner
every year, and this time we wanted to try something new. Café Tiramisu hit the mart from the Caesar salad, the petrale dore and the crowning glory, Tiramisu. Lovely décor and nice and quiet on a Sunday evening. Plus parking is really cheap at Sutter Stockton garage on Sundays!"

This restaurant had a great vibe
to it. The entrance was in an alley and my girlfriend and I were able to sit outside where it was not cold at all. Luckily, there is a tent. The food was amazing and the waiter was awesome! the only critique I have is that since it is in an alley, the ground was wet around the area where the sidewalk met the road (a very small thing)."

Salads were good, but the main
courses were a let down."

The meal was very nice, not great
but very enjoyable. I love the location. You will be pleased but don't expect to have your socks knocked off."

Café Tiramisu was prompt at
seating us for our lunch reservation however the décor, service and food left a little to be desired. The seats of the chairs were all stained and old, the walls had cracked paint. The food overall was ok, I have had better for the price in downtown SF. The lettuce of the cesar salad we shared was soggy which was disappointing but my chicken entrée was served hot and had good flavor. Our waiter got the job done however when asked questions seemed frustrated and ready to give you the easiest answer, not necessarily the correct one."

Good food, excellent location,
nice outdoor dining. Moderate price!"

Take a trip to Italy without
leaving San Francisco! Every entree, appetizer and dessert is made with the utmost care, quality ingredients and artistic presentation. Delicious food and service with Italian charm and joy! Live well... visit Cafe Tiramisu! ( Did not check wine list but suspect it is notable)"

Reminded me of a real Italian
restaurant in Lucca. Some private tables but mostly long tables accommodating many guests...just like Italy! The food was absolutely delicious. I had a past dish with a bolognese sauce. My husband had the very special short ribs..to die for! Excellent all the way around!"

Had lunch with a couple of friends
at Cafe Tiramisu and availed of the dine-about-town menu for lunch. It has been a while since we had dined here, and we were glad to have done so again. We were seated inside on a late Friday afternoon lunch, so ambience was good with no crowd. Had the butternut squash soup and was excellent! This was followed by the main entree, pappardelle, and was also good! I especially loved the soup, though!"

Turn into Belden Place and keep
going past the other tempting restaurants until you reach Tiramisu. The food is off the scale for quality. The prices are reasonable (more than reasonable in spendy San Francisco). The wine list is extensive and the staff can give you really good advice it you're not sure. You look around at the nifty decor, you scope out the other diners, you chit chat for a bit, and the food starts coming. GREAT FOOD. Carefully calibrated portions so you don't feel overstuffed. Nicely timed dishes so you are neither rushed nor kept waiting. And don't forget dessert! It is one of the most satisfying restaurants I've ever patronized. I go back every time I visit San Francisco, and I'm more delighted with every visit."

We had such a great time at Café
Tiramisu. The food was fantastic. Everyone at our table raved about their plates. Our waiter, Francesco, was very helpful and friendly. He definitely added to the dinning experience. Can't wait to go back!"

I heard about Cafe Tiramisu 10-15
years ago, but I didn't get around to trying it until now. The food and service are good. The location is just short walk from downtown. The ambience of the Belden Place is charming."

I’ve been dining at Café’ Tiramisu
every time I get to San Francisco for the last 15 years. Whether dining inside or outside, the atmosphere is like being at a restaurant in Italy. The food and service are consistently good. I’d like to see the Chilean Sea Bass back on the menu. It was always excellent."

It was an usually beautiful,
pleasant evening in the City and as soon as we walked around the corner and saw the alleyway lit up with lights hanging across the roofs, I knew it would be a great experience and I wasn't disappointed. We were able to get a table for 5 outside and only had to wait about 30 min. on a Saturday evening. We chose the familiar calamari and bruschetta appetizers and they were exceptional. Everybody ordered something different (risotto, pasta, steak) and there were no complaints."
Dined on 1/18/2014
Great ambiance, takes you to Italy
with the Italian speaking servers. Amazing house made pasta and innovative salad combinations. Attentive, friendly service. Would have loved to sit outside but was too cold. Will visit again."
Dined on 1/9/2014
Nothing special, and the veal
scaloppini was too, too salty. Would NOT go out of my way to ever go again. Disappointing after CHECK PLEASE review! VERY disappointed. This restaurant has NOTHING over any run of the mill north beach Restaurant, and not as good as most! I shall stick to PERBACCO, and TONY's, thanks!"
Dined on 1/3/2014
The food was excellent and the
service very good. We all loved the grilled octopus appetizer. Wife and daughter liked their fish dinners and the home made pasta was excellent. My steak was tender and cooked exactly as requested. We will return."
Dined on 1/3/2014
The food here was fantastic! Our
servers was very attentive and did a great job of making our experience special. We ordered an appetizer, salad, pasta entree and dessert and everything came out perfect. The timing of the food was great and presentation was fabulous. Of our choices, I highly recommend the scallops, which were perfectly cooked and the pork loin that was paired with a tasty goat cheese and berry sauce. A great combination of flavors. We picked the donuts from dessert and could not have been happier! They were heavenly! The perfect end to a perfect meal! Will def recommend this place to other people looking for a good italian spot. Amazing food and very friendly staff!"

Great location in the city.. The
food was fantastic, a must for anyone who enjoys authentic Italian cuisine."

Disappointed. Saw great
reviews/stars so picked this place to take my team out for our holiday lunch. Made reservations. The minute we stepped inside, the owner (?) stated that he could seat us a a tiny table right by the front door where we could linger, or put us at a downstairs, more comfortable table, as long as we left by 1:15 - since he had another reservation at that time. Question: why not seat his 1:15 reservation at the front door...? I know he was trying to be fair to us. Regardless, no desert or coffee was offered. Gave us our bill and essentially told us to leave. It was astonishing. At a less busy, I'm sure it would be better. I won't give it a second chance tho - too many other great restaurants."

Give your taste buds a treat and
try Tiramisu on Belden Way. Friendly staff, extensive menu, and quality food. Veal scallapini was my choice for the evening. Perfectly cooked, generous portion, served over spinach, with fantastic parm risotto . A treat from the first bite to the last."

4 of us went to dinner and the
food was excellent. We started with scallops as appetizers and then to our main entree. Service up to the point we received our main entree was great. But after that, service went downhill. Our empty plates stayed on the table for a good 30-40 minutes and we had to snag our waiter to get his attention. We were celebrating 3 birthdays and because of the bad service, we wanted our check n got out of there. It was clear they were short staffed with bus boys & waiters on a busy Saturday night."

The decor and service were a bit
lackluster but the food was really good."

Each year we spend a weekend in SF
with our friends. We always choose an Italian restaurant for dinner. Café Tiramisu was close to our hotel and came with good recommendations. We were not disappointed. The Café was cozy ,comfortable, and pleasant with Italian charm. My husband and I chose the house signature dish of Bolognese. It was wonderful. The appetizer salad was also very good, fresh and light. Our friends chose other pastas which they enjoyed but felt when they returned they would also order the signature dish. Our server was friendly, efficient and helpful."

Based on "Check Please" review I
was excited to visit. However, Cioppino without crab in crab season? Our server was the "owner" who we found disinterested in our table - perhaps we needed to speak Italian to receive any acknowledgment or appreciation of our presence. . He should NOT be a server."

Lovely spot near union square with
well prepared food and attentive service. Make a reservation, this place fills up fast."

It is a lovely gem in a great
location. We highly recommend the Grilled Octopus, Pappardelle with bolognese, steamed mussels and for dessert don't miss the Tiramisu and Bambolinis. We would definitely come back again."
Dined on 11/29/2013
Tables were very close together
and the atmosphere was generally noisy making it easier to hear the conversation at the next table than that of your dinner partner. Service was sporadic and lackadaisical - almost an afterthought to the waiter. The food, however, was very good but overall it was not a great dining experience."
Dined on 11/5/2013
I usually don't say mean things
about restaurants; but this place took a long time to serve us, and the food was pretty expensive and was just ok. Tried to give it another shot, but it was still just fine...."

Beautiful little place in
unexpected area of city. Food was very good, but very expensive. Best service i have had in a while. Go!"
Dined on 11/8/2013
We sat indoors due to a chill in
the air, but am glad we did. The décor is authentic, the ambiance relaxed and friendly. We order a delicious black ink risotto with grilled scallop as an appetizer, Caesar salad (perfectly acceptable), a fantastic stuffed chicken breast and house made 3 meat papardelle. The service was unpretentious and attentive. We were off to a show, so didn't order desserts, but the table next to us was certainly loving their panna cotta and some kind of molten chocolate thing. Will definitely go again on a warm evening to experience the charm of the outdoor dining in Belden Alley."

Had a great experience. Great
food, great service. Would go back in a heartbeat."

We book a table every time we come
Dined on 11/3/2013
The food was bright and delicious.
Since it was cold, we ate inside where the tables are very close together and it is a bit hard to move between them. The outside tables might be a better bet."

My wife and I dined at Cafe
Tiramisu on 10/29/13. I had the homemade Ravioli stuffed with Short Ribs, served over leeks, sage and truffle sauce, which was as tasty as any ravioli I ate while in Italy. My wife had the Veal Scaloppini, with lemon caper sauce, spinach and an amazing Parmesan risotto. The veal was tender enough to cut with a fork, the sauce was excellent and, did I mention the scrumptious Parmesan risotto? We switched plates halfway through our meal and agreed that both dishes were cooked to perfection, tasted absolutely delicious and, most importantly, were authentically Italian. For dessert, we chose the Bomboloni, little Italian donuts with custard filling, served with chocolate sauce, which we highly recommend."

I've been coming to Cafe Tiramisu
since it opened over 20 years ago and it has consistently delivered. The service is always attentive and the food is hard to beat. Giusseppi, the owner, is always there which ensures that the experience is reliably good. I prefer the week nights or lunch to the weekends. Food seems better when there is not a rush though you never feel pushed. It's like a European restaurant where you can sit all night if you like. You are never asked if you want the bill. Hoping for another 20 years of operation at this wonderful restaurant."
Dined on 10/7/2013
I've been coming here since the
place opened 20+m years ago and I've nearly always had a wonderful experience. The last visit was a little off, the veal was a little overcooked which is unusual because that's my go-to choice on the menu. Just an off night my guess. Everything else was perfect. Can't wait to go back, some other night besides a Friday or Saturday night, nights I generally don't go out."
