Diner Reviews
  • "Everything was great except for a minor issue with overly rare lamb which we sent back. The issue was remedied. The meat came back out perfectly and the chef gave new sides which had obviously gone cold in the wait. All in all, great dinner."

  • "The food was excellent. I had the lamb chops with sweet potato and kale. The food was great. We ate inside the old house, and that was very disappointing. The entire interior had been gutted and turned into one large room. Every table had a very clear view of the kitchen, which I found most unpleasant. There are other restaurants in the Denver metro area that also have great food, and I would choose one of those way before returning to Cafe Terra Cotta. I don't like eating a nice meal in view of an industrial kitchen."

  • "I know that recently there were several reviewers who commented on slow service. Ours was excellent, and so too, was the food. We ate outside which required staff to travel longer distances and climb stairs, but all went well for our dinner. I have lunched here several times without problems. Excellent for my GF needs."

  • "had been there a few months ago inside and very noisy and wasn't sure I'd be back, but decided to try again and glad that I did. this time outside and just a great experience. food was hot when arrived very please with our visit"

  • "We have dined there many times and the food was disappointing! The walleye was overcooked and the hanger steak was tough and not medium rare."

  • "I went to this restaurant about 4 years ago and just loved it. This time the service was really lacking. We had to ask our waiter every time we wanted something. It wasn't even crowded and dinner took 2 1/2 hours. The fondue appetizer was watery. If they could fix that it would be great! Drinks, appetizers and salads were nicely priced. Entrees were a little pricey and just okay. Great location for a quiet dinner or date. Minor changes that need to be made. I'd recommend this place as years ago I know it was worth it."

  • "Quiet ambiance, simple and elegant decor with outstanding service. The food was the best food I've ever had at a restaurant and I was also impressed with the wine list. I look forward to returning! Highly recommend for a romantic date."

  • "We've been to Cafe Terra Cotta a few times and it's always good. This particular night seemed a little slower with service than usual, but we didn't complain, because we were in no hurry. The staff seemed to be rushing around and possible short handed. But overall, it was fine. Since we'd been there before, we knew it was going to be good no matter what. And it was. My walleye was a bit overcooked, but still good. The brussels sprouts appetizer was amazing. Everything else was quite good as well. We always go back."

  • "I was looking for a nice place for a romantic dinner before a Red Rocks show and this hit the target! My wife and I shared brussel sprouts and Mexican caprese and both came packed with unique flavors. We had the lamb chops and hangar steak for our mains and both enjoyed them completely, along with the tasty sides. My lucky day as I love apple pie and the dessert special was apple pie which was very good - the crust was flakey and flavorful. Our service was very attentive and friendly. The waitress checked in often enough, but not too much, to make us feel special. And the manager also stopped by to chat and make sure all was well. We will definitely go back!"

  • "I've been at lunch at enjoyed it but went for a special occasion at dinner and was disappointed. The drinks and appetizer were good but dinner itself was just OK. Overpriced for what we got. The wait staff was not very friendly. Nobody greeted us when we walked in though multiple servers passed us. A couple of the women waitresses NEVER smiled and seemed annoyed to be dealing with customers. I wouldn't go back at dinner. Maybe for lunch though."

  • "Service on the night we were there was extremely slow - asked for an extra napkin - never received it. Seemed like they were short staffed or something. Very noisy and expensive -"

  • "We had not been in a while, nice changes. Our friends had never been & really liked it."

  • ""My wife and I enjoyed the old brick style house turned into an upscale quaint cafe. It was our anniversary and had a great experience. We will be back not only for special occasions but with friends. We started with champaign and the baby kale and spinach and arugula grapefruit salads. Champaign and salads complimented each other! My wife is gluten free so they brought us fantastic gluten free bread and had several options for entrees. They also make their own bread that is out of this world. My wife had the roasted acorn squash with pork chop and I had the pan-fried honey pepper walleye both were very flavorful and delights. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable and complimented the courses.""

  • "Having been there several times in the past, we expected a nice evening on the patio with good food and wine. First off, we kept asking the server who brought us water if he was out waiter and he would say "I will take care of you" and then disappear. There was only one other table outside with us and he was paying little attention to either table. My dinner was fine, but the other was so overcooked they agreed to take it off the bill (which is nice but not the way to enjoy a night out). Parking is impossible. When it came time to pay the bill, we had to get up and go inside where our server was chatting away at the bar with another employee. I doubt I will be back again."

  • "We did apps and split dinner so we could try more items from the menu. The service was a bit slow, but we used the time to talk!"

  • "We selected this venue so that four of us could have a nice dinner and engage in conversation. Unfortunately, even Terra Cotta was a bit too loud for comfortable talk. They were very busy, and the waitress seemed a bit rushed--which she was. We want someplace relaxing..unfortunately this could have been more so."

  • "A very nice, somewhat intimate neighborhood feel. Good food, though a bit pricy in the evening. For a fairly small place, can be surprisingly noisy in the evening."

  • "I had never been for dinner before, and while we had a nice dinner it was too expensive. I will probably stick with Brunch and the garden seating when weather permits. Nothing special inside really."

  • "The ambience of this restaurant is excellent. It is situated off a side street in downtown Littleton in a remodeled home. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We dined here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. This is definitely a place you want to take your time and enjoy every bite."

  • "With just a short walk to the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center, Cafe TerraCotta is ideal for a superb pre-theater meal. Whether you take davantage of the outdoor garden setting or chose the inviting inside, the evening will not disappoint. The service is attentive, and the staff is knowledgable about both the extensive wine list and various starters and entrees. Their is a great vibe and energy here, and the kitchen produces attractive plates and great flavors."

  • "This was a delightful evening with great servers and relaxing.Tfood. They gave us complementary dessert and sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary. The food was great and the dining on the patio was relaxing. This place is my favorite local restaurant. "

  • "We came here, after an axhaustive search, for our 8 year wedding anniversary. We were both pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu is just the right size for me as I don't enjoy 50 different options to choose from. The chefs obviously know what they're doing and do it well. Loved the wine selection too. Our waitress was fantastic! Always there when we needed her and never there we we didn't. She helped make our special night memorable. Although I couldn't fit another bite in my stomach, she brought over a treat I couldn't refuse. Thanks for the celebratory cupcake and champagne, how could I say no?"

  • "We celebrate birthdays, our anniversary and other special events at this restaurant. The food is excellent and they are very good about working around food sensitivities and allergies. "

  • "It's was Easter brunch so there were kids everywhere screaming which made it a little unnerving. However, I'm definitely going back on a non holiday for brunch to give it a second go because the food was fabulous and server was very great! It's a cute location, very wonderful feeling about it and the food is to die for and so reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it! "

  • "This was my first visit to Terra Cotta. The food was good. I'm a foodie, so my expectations are pretty high. There was nothing in my friends meals or my meal that really made me salivate. I had the calamari appetizer and I thought the serving size was small for the $13 price. I liked the noise level and the ability to hear my friends. the service was good."

  • "Despite having a relatively limited menu, the offerings at Cafe Terracotta are unique, flavorful and definitely satisfying. One of my issues, however, is that diners are almost forced into purchasing vastly overpriced bottles of wine since their per-glass options are minimal."

  • "Cafe terracotta is a converted residence. The interior is warm with exposed brick, wood floors and original art (complete with pricetags). The service was adequate, certainly not attentive. The food is good, but overpriced. A bowl of soup is $9. Seriously? For tomato bisque? Our entrees were served with a pile of sauteed greens, leaving the plate looking like something was misssing. Flavors were good, temperatures were appropriate and the raspberry mousse was ;lovely. A nice evening albiet somewhat expensive for a neighborhood gem."

  • "I had not been to Café Terra Cotta in a few years because prior experience was not that memorable. This past time it was great. The food was really good! At the last minute we had to request a change to the reservations. They were very accommodating which was surprising because that evening they were busy. I will go back again soon!"

  • "We love Cafe Terra Cotta. It is nice in the summer to sit outside and the food is always very well prepared. Walleye is excellent and the pork chop with white beans also very good. We had a lemon cake for dessert which had a very nice light icing. The service was excellent although we waited quite awhile for the desserts."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "We go for the calamari appetizer and stay for dinner. Service is typically very attentive but seemed unusually rushed this time. Always have good meals and decent wine choices. Prefer to eat outdoors on front patio but not when its snowing. Indoors is always noisy due to small room and brick walls."

  • "We've eaten at Cafe Terra Cotta probably 5 times over the last few years and have always rated the experience as very good +. This last time not so much. Walleye was uninspired...too much breading and no pizazz. Spinach served with the Chicken Wellington was too vinegary. Service fell off as the restaurant became more busy. Still a nice place to dine and we will give it another chance."
