Cafe Soleilgood food when there are few optionThere are not that many nice places in this area and we were looking for something for before a show at DAR Constitution Hall. We told the server we had a show in 1 hour and he was great. We each had a glass of wine, apps and an entree. The server was very accomodating to our time crunch. It was noisy and the tables are close together, but it still felt intimate and good for a date-night. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and although it's in a hotel it's not a typical hotel restaurant. It was a great option within walking distance of DAR Constitution Hall, conveniently located right at Farraget West metro station. Though limited, the menu offered a variety of healthy and appealing options. The noise level was moderate allowing conversation, but there were periodic interruptions as tables were crammed together requiring adjustment of chairs when other diners were arriving or departing.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food - Improve serviceFood was very good and our server was working very hard. only saw two servers all night and very little help for staff. At times we had to wait and food was not hot when it came out. Other server did not tend to tables well and did not show any sense of urgency that it was busy.

The dining room is charming, but the tables are a bit too close together for my comfort. Our server was excellent and friendly, and we found some great choices on the wine list. Dinner was delicious. We had the ahi tuna app and a Caesar salad, and then the halibut entree and the shrimp primavera. Definitely a place I would return to......maybe for Happy Hour next time. Those are delicious, yummy but they're big plate! Hostess friendly & helped us out. Of course, it's kind of crowd when it's lunch time hour. So do we!
