Diner Reviews
  • "This was my third trip and it's consistently one of my favorite restaurants!! The food is always a huge hit, every dish is incredibly flavorful and the desserts are fantastic as well!"

  • "RSVPing was very easy via mobile and when I had to change times last minute, it was just a snap. Service was ok, but I won't blame the whole place, just the waiter at the time. He lagged and I had to call him back ever now and then to receive things. He didn't check on us once. Other than that, its noisy inside, live bad is great ,music great and food passes!"

  • "Overall it was a good experience but had to wait about 30 minutes for a table when I had made a reservation"

  • "Very good food with a fun atmosphere. The service was not good by any means."

  • "Very Disappointing. This restaurant was recommended by the Westin for the salsa.... they don't even have any. Language barrier if you only speak English. Mary Anne was our very disappointing waitress. Would not recommend and will not return on our next visit to Long Beach."

  • "I'll keep coming back and bringing my friends...I love everything about Sevilla--the food, the service, the ambiance, all of it! Melissa was our server and she took excellent care of us. I also liked how the vegetarian and gluten-free menus were separated for those who needed them. The music was great (not live)...great Mediterranean mix!"

  • "This is a great place to enjoy with a group of people who are adventurous eaters. Tapas are a good way to experience a variety of food that one might not otherwise risk ordering. There are many food choices but being able to select from a fairly large array of "small bites" to share among friends is a nice adventure. We also enjoyed a pitcher of white sangria which was most delightful. If intimate conversation is on the agenda, this is not the place to be!"

  • "Our March 2014 Family Get-Together was Awesome at Cafe Sevilla! The Service, Food and Awesome Ambiance provided the Perfect Setting. We enjoyed ourselves, immensely :)!"

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and really enjoyed ourselves. The food, service, and music were great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a taste for Andalusian cuisine."

  • "Used Open Table for a reservation, restaurant reported us as a no-show. Food was tasty, but a bit expensive. Told waitress we were ready to order more tapas, she did not return, so ordered from another passing waitress. Disappointed, because we had been twice before and enjoyed it. No plans to return."

  • "We found this place on Open Table while visiting Long Beach. Our server, Michelle, was outstanding. There was live music during dinner, which was totally non-intrusive. But later on in the evening, the place became quite a hot spot and everyone was dancing. The tapas were the best I've had outside of Spain and the wine selections were great and decently priced (for a restaurant). There were lots of people in groups, lots on dates, and quite a few singles on patrol. A fun place for everyone. I will definitely be going back and bringing friends."

  • "We were just visiting Long Beach for a weekend and found this amazing restaurant....The food, service and location were all amazing. The tapas were great and the salmon was probably the best Ive ever had! Can't wait to go back."

  • "I truly enjoy the creative and inventive items on Café Sevilla's menu. Every dish is carefully prepared and presented. The quality of the food is impressive."

  • "This time was much better than my last visit. As the night grows so does the crowd.although the ambience goes up service drops. Maybe because its too many people for the restaurant."

  • "What a great night. The selection of food was good; I like the chocies and different food to eat. It can be considered exotic by some, but for my wife and I, it was fantastic! The sangreia was also very good. Likely place to eat for a special Valentines Day!"

  • "Always exellent and delicious tapas selection, great sangria, yammy deserts. The main reason I come here for over ten years is to listen to a spanish guitar. Mucisians playing here never dissapoint."

  • "3rd time here and every single time has been different. It went from good to amazing. The ambience, the food, the sangria ( sangria royal it's great) and the service. I have to say thanks Melissa for the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable service, everyone there it's so helpful and friendly. Like I said the sangria it's a most, my wife loves it. We tried the 5 course menu and we order the empanadas, everything was good and delicious. I'm coming back soon"

  • "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Cafe Sevilla! The quaint, romantic atmosphere and delicious authentic Spanish food and libations were a wonderful treat for our romantic evening together. The artistic style of the environment totally emerged us in what we love about Spain. We will definitely be back!"

  • "Ours was a group of 7 women who came for happy hour and tapas on a Sunday evening. We all had a good time. We were a bit disappointed that the Sunday happy hour does not include any discount on tapas, but our kind and helpful server informed us of another offer available to users of Yelp. We sat close to the door to the outside and it was a bit drafty and cold at first, but we were allowed to close 1/2 of the door which helped. As the evening progressed the wind died down. We liked every single one of the tapas that we sampled. Some favorites were the garlic shrimp, the mushroom and fig cocas, the meatballs al Jerez, and the grilled Spanish sausages. No member of our party felt any disappointment. Well done Cafe Sevilla."

  • "This was our first time at Café Sevilla. We ordered La Familia Style and there was plenty for our party. The food was good however, if your party is large or you are seated near several large parties, service might be a little slow."

  • "We were visiting a friend who lives within a block of the restaurant. She had never been there before, but all of us were impressed with the food and unique decor. We were seated up front near the windows, in a horseshoe-shaped booth perfect for a mid-size group. All of the small plates we tried (and there were several) were delicious. They do take some time to come out after ordering, so if your dining party is hungry, start with 3 or 4 and then order another round when they come out."

  • "It would be nice if the music could start earlier and if our waitress had some personality. Otherwise, food, drink and ambiance were fantastic as always!"

  • "My wife had the chicken (Pollo Catalan) which was quite good. Moist and cooked and seasoned very nicely. I had the traditional paella Valenciana, one of my favorite dishes. Blah. Blah. Blah. Dried out chicken, rice tasted like yesterdays (over soaked and starchy), seafood was dry and over-cooked. Wines were about 20% overpriced. Piped-in music was rather loud, people had to talk over it, so over-all atmosphere is definitely noisy, even though we were seated at the fringes. Will I go back? Probably not. 555 East is consistent and a sure bet."

  • "Have been to Sevilla many times and I totally love the Tapas food here. The flavors are amazing. Though the portions are tapas style when you order different dishes you get pretty full. Oh don't forget to get a pitcher of Sangria ! you can gulp that thing down. We were there NYE and they had live DJ playing great spanish music and champagne toast at midnight. Perfect way to bring in 2014 :) Thank you Sevilla ! (they had a $89.99 pre fix menu for NYE which was a surprise for us since we always go there for the delicious tapas, our waitress came back after a little while and said we could order from the main menu which was a life saver, otherwise we would have left.)"

  • "We normally love Sevilla, but had a merely average experience on Christmas night. Although they featured a prix fixe holiday menu, they did say that the regular menu was available. Unfortunately, two of the common dishes (chicken skewers and the empanada sampler) were out, so we were upsold to the more expensive dishes. Our server seemed to be covering too many tables and was scarce most of the evening. Not sure if they underestimated the Christmas crowd--we also ate here on Thanksgiving and the experience was much better (with far fewer diners)."

  • "Great place for REAL Spanish food outside of Spain! Great service, busy bar scene! Varied Tappas menu and main courses and interesting and well-prepared!"

  • "The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious. The feedback/recommendations from the staff were detailed and helped in deciding our order. I would have rated 5 stars except our food came at different times and the last plate ordered took over half hour, it was requested well done and it was extremely under cooked (we took the order that was anyway because we didn't want to wait any longer). After we noted the last order was taking longer than expected and asked for a status they did apologize but indicated they were busier then expected (didn't feel that was the way to resolve the situation). If it was not for the last order the experience would have completely pleasant."

  • "The server was very nice but slow. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes for our sangria. Food was fair not great. Oddly enough, they are known for paella but it was salty and did not taste very good."

  • "2nd time with this exceptional dining venue with Long Beach being the 2nd experience and the Gas Lamp San Diego location being our 1st. Food is exceptional and very authentic Spanish cuisine with fast, friendly and very knowledgeable staff who know the menu backwards and forwards. Very highly recommendable venue!"

  • "Sevilla has excellent food; everything our group of 3 shared was delicious. I never order Pulpo a la Gallega because nobody ever gets it right. NOT the case here-it was perfectly cooked! The short ribs and flat-bread with figs made us happy. The restaurant itself hosts live flamenco and classical guitar, so it's too loud to talk once the music starts. Go early if you want converse with your date. The front patio allows smoking, so, while you can escape the music on the patio, you are at the mercy of brainless bimbos using menus to fan smoke away from themselves towards everyone else not stupid enough to live with addictions we can't control. They also own a club -- next-door/upstairs so the place gets over-run by partiers later in the pm."

  • "We booked a table for 7 when we knew guitarists would be playing. They provided soothing, lovely background music for a romantic evening. The wait staff was extremely efficient and friendly, and the food was outstanding--the ajillo sauce is great, the meatballs were delicious, the grilled lamb chops were perfect. The French bread and fried calamari were wonderful, and the mushroom and fig coca was a surprising treat. We travel to Spain and eat in tapas bars in the US whenever we can. This one's among the best."

  • "One of the best overall experiences we've had in a while. The tapas are delicious and the service attentive without being intrusive. You must try them out and make sure to have the dates."

  • "The food was excellent, but out our waiter talked way too much and it took him 45 minutes to even bring us a glass of wine! It is great to explain a menu if it seems complicated, but this one did not! We are adults and we can read.....give suggestions when asked, but don't talk on and on! Really noisy too, hard to talk. But the food was yummy! Great guitar player after 7 pm."
