Café SaporiOur new placeWhen in town, cafe Sapori is our new place. Hidden behind a non descript hedge wall one would not necessarily expect such a formal and comfortable restaurant. We were greated professionally, expertly served, and the food was delicious. What more could you ask for. We will return again and again.....5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good and friendly serviceThis place was terrific. My wife had the lobster / asparagus risotto and she raved about it. The dish is extremely filling and could not be finished. I had the OSSOBUCO CON RISOTTO, which was outstanding. For starters we split a house salad and the red and yellow pepper gazpacho, off the special list, and it was very special.
The wine list was extensive and as you would expect, majority Italian. The wines by the glass were good, could use more of a selection, but good. There are more than enough wines by the bottle, at fair prices that would satisfy anybody’s taste and wallet.
We were there May 2nd and there was no need for reservations. Our waiter, Carlos, was very attentive, he explained all of the dishes and was on the ball refilling wine and water glasses. This time we ate outside in the enclosed veranda. We had a lovely corner table. The food was excellent. The service was good, but the server made mistakes with who got what appetizer.
