This was my first time attending here with my husband. Let me tell you that the service was amazing and the food was phenomenal! It was my birthday and we wanted to try something different for the occasion. Everything we selected from the wine, small plates, main dishes, dessert and even the butter for the bread was spectacular. My husband and I were both very satisfied. We will definitely be back.

We ate here on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy but not noisy. Tables are small and close together so if that's an issue for you, be prepared. It feels intimate and cozy to me. Service was very professional and our meal was well-paced. We started with the dates stuffed with bacon and blue cheese for the aperitif. Delicious. Both of us had the spinach salad with duck confit--the special appetizer that night--and the salads were memorably delightful. My companion had the fish special, sea bass, and raved about it. I had the duck with chestnut bread pudding and it was excellent. I had duck left over to bring home, even. They have interesting wines by the glass as well as by the bottle, and the cocktails sounded interesting as well. Parking was a challenge on Friday night, but it can be done. We enjoyed our meal very much. Words can't do it justice.

This place was filled with diners by about 12:15 p.m, and all were apparently as satisfied and enjoying the food as much as my friends and I did. I chose the chicken-filled crepe, which was marvelous. Cusine was excellent as always.

From the moment you step through the door you feel like you've stepped into a hidden gem. We had a lovely lunch, the food is very fresh, well prepared with great presentation. The staff is excellent accenting the experience with a few french words. I had the feeling that the Cafe was the owners passion. Overall a real treat.

Parking was easy. We were accommodated with a table for 3 (booths were all taken) by pushing two small tables together. No fuss. We all had different offerings for lunch: quiche, crepe, curried chicken salad, and all were pronounced delicious.

The food was fabulous and courses were perfectly paced. My objection to this restaurant is there are too many fabulous dishes on the menu to choose. It just makes one look forward to going back sooner rather than later. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and the ambiance superb.

I can never say enough good things about this restaurant! The food is always amazing and the service is wonderful. The only thing wrong with this restaurant is that it is 50 minutes away from my house. The mussels are absolutely delicious (make sure you drink some of the broth, it's amazing). The foie gras appetizer was one of the best that I've ever had. I have only had such a perfectly seared piece of foie gras at restaurants where we have paid much, much more. I almost always get whatever the fish of the day is and have never been disappointed. The fish is always perfectly cooked and the plating beautiful. Absolutely love, love, love this restaurant.

I am French, from Paris. My husband is Italian. Every single meal at Cafe' Provence is a nostalgic reminder of our countries. Completely authentic French food, cooked to perfection, served on white pressed linen tablecloth. Knowledgeable Staff who greets you by name, in French. I just adore this place and I suggest you try it. It might just become your very favorite, your own little slice of European culture. Bon appetit!

Our first experience included the special, halibut, cooked to perfection and the sauce complemented both the vegetables as well as the flavors presented with the halibut. The Joue de Veau Braisée Véronique, veal cheek, was outstanding and the sage cream sauce enhanced every other ingredient. Every bite was a complex harmony of flavor that presented a savory first impression then hinted at the complexity of the dish as the veal, leek fricassee, grapes or chanterelle mushrooms brought different aspects to the fore. Our second experience was a Tuesday night prix fixe. While the bacon-onion tarte with creme fraiche was a brilliant surprise, the Tien with goat cheese, walnuts and balsamic stole the show with brilliant flavor combinations.

I went in with an open mind and a willingness to really like this place. Overall is I would say that it was just ok. The wine list was average, and so was the food. My Halibut (the daily special) was a little rubbery (undercooked), and my wife had a filet mignon and she could barely cut it with the provided knife. The flavor of the filet was ok, but lacked anything to make it stand out. The rest of both of our dishes, as well as the onion soup, were great. Based on the conversation with had with the couple next to us, this was not an isolated occurrence. They indicated their Halibut was the same as mine, and agreed that the rest of the dish was much better than the fish itself. The good thing is we were not rushed.

What a wonderful find! This was my first time to joyfully experience Cafe Provence, but it shan't be my last; it is now my tied for first choice of KC French eateries! The food is superbly prepared and presented. The staff is top notch and knowledgeable, and one gets to practice one's French in the process! It all reminded me of a little bistro on the Left Bank which I enjoyed greatly. I look forward to my next visit to KC in order to dine at Cafe Provence! Don't miss it! You won't be disappointed!

The restaurant is very quaint, and the food was very good, along with a very friendly waitress. The only little blip was that when we arrived they could not find our reservation that was made online. They still were able to get us a table and later found the reservation and apologized for the confusion. They also gave us a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience. BTW, the lady that I had dinner with, this is one of her favorite restaurants.
