"I was really disappointed on this visit: the serving size of my salmon entree had shrunk considerably since my last visit and the price increased $3.00, the wine pours were stingy at $10 a glass and the chocolate mousse had an odd texture. One plus was the great service. No one ordered their signature appetizer, Susan's Downfall, any longer as the last time we had it it was missing a key ingredient and tasted bland. When our group is paying $200 for lunch, we expect better. I'll think twice before returning."

"Went here with a girlfriend for an impromptu dinner. The waiters were very professional and checked in on us throughout the meal. The food was really good, I had a smoked salmon pasta special that was excellent, good portion sizes, not too big. It's not in the heart of downtown Palo Alto, but it was very close to Caltrain which was nice for me to jump on the train straight from the restaurant."

"First time there. Went with a girlfriend for an early dinner on a Sunday night. As other reviewers said, doesn't look like much from outside, but inside it's warm, vibrant, and friendly--as is the staff! We loved our time here and will be back for more carpaccio, pasta and salad. Plus, they had a decadent chocolate Lava cake with huckleberry sauce that my husband just has to try!"

"I liked it for what it was-- a nice, local restaurant with pretty good food and a nice wine list. Not too expensive, not pretentious. Was it incredible? No. But was it a place I could feel comfortable going again and again? Yes."

"The food and service here were wonderful - staff really did a good job of being solicitous without being annoying. Good wine list too. Down side: We were a party of two on a Friday night and found ourselves a bit jammed in between two other couples - it's a small restaurant but kinda made the dinner feel more "public". It was also fairly loud (we were in the side room). Would certainly go back, tho likely ask for a better table."
