"I had lunch at Cafe Pesto with a group of nine hula sisters. We appreciated the tastey food and friendly service. It was especially helpful that they very cheerfully provided separate checks for us. The Cafe is in a beautiful, comfortable room, and it provided a lovely respite from the bustle of Merrie Monarch week in Hilo. Highly reccommended!"

"I'm always a little leery about ordering "real" food at a pizza place, but I'd been told the fish was amazing - and so it was. :) I had mahimahi with truffle mashed potatoes, and it was an excellent end to a long day."

"One of the few upscale places in Hilo. Nice view of the bay if you request a window seat. The food is great, some think that its not "authentic" so if you come in with an idea of what you want your food to taste like this probably isn't the place for you; never the less, I have never had a bad meal. Food is always good in my opinion.

Service is good, servers are attentive and down to earth. Weekends can get crowded, so make a reservation. It can get a bit warm if the place is packed. The live music is a nice touch too.

Overall, a great dining experience as usual."
