This was my second time dining at Cafe Pescatore and both dinners were with kids and very enjoyable! The restaurant has a great neighborhood feel just a couple of blocks off Fisherman's Wharf. Parking is free on the street right in front of the restaurant after 6:00pm. The grown up food was terrific and well thought-out and the kids dishes were fantastic. The only reason that I rated the food as 'good' is because we have dined in some very fine restaurants. But really, the meals for this category of friendly, upscale, neighborhood eatery were excellent. Friendly waitstaff who were really accommodating to kids. Full bar; what more could you want after a day of sightseeing?

We loved this place! The food, or course, was wonderfully flavorful, beautifully presented, with interesting ingredients. The service was meticulous and friendly. We were surprised that we were not rushed, nor were the dishes taking forever to arrive. Just the right pace for us. It has only been two days, and we have already recommended the place to at least 10 people. A real slightly hidden pleasure.

Good restaurant bit expensive but the server was fun and the food was delicious. Good place for a small group, 4-8 people, great bar and a lot of seats. Decor was rather cheap looking for the price of the food/drinks and the look they were going for didnt make much sense, but would deffinately return if I/we were staying around fisherman's wharf again.

The gf and I were really happy with the food and wine selection, as well as the ambiance. We wanted to do a nice valentines day but nothing too over the top and Cafe pescatore was perfect. Delicious price fixed menu for me, al-a-carte for her, and all the delicious bread we could eat. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The waitress was also very attentive and helpful without ruining the flow of our conversations or asking us how the food was when our mouths were full. I will definitely be going back to this place again.

Good but not great. The rib eye steak was nicely charred on the outside and at the proper level of cooking, which was surprising given how thin the piece of meat was. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was a bit wilted, but the dressing was good. The pear bread pudding was very good, but the molten chocolate cake lacked intensity. The decaf coffee tasted like dishwater. Bar drinks and wine, on the other hand were excellent. Although we enjoyed the choice of background music at first, the ambient noise was deafening as the evening progressed.
